unfortunately, the way my family is i will not be able to cancel, i wish i could but parental fear of credit card scams mean i will probably never be able to re-sub if CCP gets their act in order.
i will be quitting though short of skill queue updates. and never recommend a CCP game to one of my friends
out of my circle of friends i was the only one who talked about eve too.

I haven't cancelled my subscriptions since I pay via PayPal, which I don't have set as auto pay. So yeah, I probably will just let them run out since I cannot even get the game to install onto my PC, even after trying numerous downloads and repair attempts, clean installs, and everything else I could find here on the forums.

Cancelled both my two accounts. I've seen more accounts cancelled this sh!tstorm than during any other one we've been through since I started playing, and the forum usually only reflects a minority who bother to post and say so. During last year's summer of rage, CCP lost about 35k to 40k accounts. This year they will probably lose about two to three times that.

I'm on the yearly subscription, re-upped in April. So I'll hang through the winter expansion, and then the buildup towards next summer.
I've had seven years of good times. Thanks for the ride CCP. I disagree with your new direction, and especially with CCP Soundwave's comments in that 'leaked' document.
PLEX was tolerable because it was created to fight isk sellers, and because it allowed players with poor real life wealth to still play the game. It still allowed rich players to gain an advantage within the game, but at least the items they bought were not solely available via RMT, and could be gained via in-game methods.
RMT items create a community split between haves and have-nots. Remember why you don't charge for expansions? Because it would split up the community and so on? Yeah, that's what you've done with this. Look at the forums - there's a large rabid anti Incarna movement, and then a few Pro- posters, defending to the end.

Im still undecided with 2 accounts on the line. Waiting to see how this plays out, hoping CCP will get a clue. Im already gonna have to get a new PC/graphics thanks to them droping ATI support. I really hope they get it together but CCP is in bed with SOE now so it isnt looking good. Ive seen this happen before with SWG. Even through all the forum outrage when the NGE hit, it feel on deaf ears. The people at the top making the decisions dident care and the game fell anyway.

I decided to go ahead and cancel my accounts. I still have a good bit of time left on them, but suffice it to say I will not be reactivating them unless the are signs of serious change on the part of CCP. It is honestly hard to be motivated about even training skills at this point. At least I feel a bit of closure having actually canceled:

They`re running for another three weeks of game time and... done. CCP this expansion fries my card and the poor content, leaked document was enough to really crush two years of my time in this game.
I`ll consider a resub if you roll out walking in stations in three weeks and corrected the way people should first enter CQ (through a neocom button, not a hidden ESC menu check box). Enjoy the sleepless nights trying to save a quarter of your user base in under a few weeks, clock is ticking.

I already let 2 accounts run this is the third and last that will run out. I'm sure I will be back, when they fix faction war.
Until then it just takes way too long to get decent pvp in this game.
The game was great fun to learn but until they build in some good mechanics for small gang pvp, eve has run it's course.
Unfortunately there is nothing that suggests they will work on making small gang pvp more available in the near future. Therefore, I'm going to wait *without* paying $45/month.

I run 3 accounts, but i run all of them on gtc i mostly acquire for real money (being in EU it costs me less actually buying 60day plex off some retailer for 35$ than to pay 15 euros/month per account. My accounts expire mid-july, and i'm unlikely to extend them if things are left as they are now. It's just i'm really disappointed with EVE and CCP in particular. So, for the time being, consider all 3 as cancelled.

Canceled one, on this I'm going to play till I'm out of Isk for plex. If it turns around, I'll start paying with cash again on both. I don't expect it to.
If/when the pay-to-win items come out in game, there won't even be a point in paying to play with isk, and I'll turn it all to plex for good or something similar.
Here's hoping someone is willing to make a worthy successor to EVE. Hopefully, by a company that is actually happy with a steady, successful product.

I cancelled my account. Runs out July 15th. It's a shame because I just resubbed and am enjoying the game as it is. But with the proof we've been given about the direction it's heading (reminding me of SWG:NGE when the devs did not listen to the player base) I won't support funding CCP. They need to make an official announcement about where they stand with today's findings.

I'll probably not be coming back after that until maybe I buy a new computer. I don't buy computers to play games. I buy computers to do graphics work on. So, whenever I update my Mac then maybe that will be able to handle the full WiS Incarna stuff if they ever get around to it.

I usually pay my accounts with a credit card when I play and via PLEX when I make a break. I wanted to come back after a year away from EVE but considering what happened (hardware issues, f2p business model) I'll probably close 2 of my 3 accounts when they'll be finished, end August and let CCP till the end of the year to sort everything...or not.

I have two other accounts due to renew at end of july will review my position then, does not look good. Was considering running only one account for a while, prob will do.
To those who think it does not matter about 'rag quitting' for every 100 accounts not running for a month CCP lose ~$4000 in lost revenue and an unknown amount in PLEX bought by those players to sell for AUR/ISK. Plus if people move away from a product once, they are more likely to do it again at another time. Also people leaving could find another game and move away forever.
In 6 years I have never seen so much angry in the community.

And I may return, but this will all depend on CCP's actions in the coming days/weeks/months. Tbh, if you are able to buy faction standings, battleships and ammo/etc with AUR, the player-driven market will be no more and so will my interest in this game.
I'm sure many will hang on, because you don't give a crap about the market. But here's the deal, once CCP run off all the hardcore industrialists, how are you gonna afford all those ganking tempests? I'll tell you how: AUR to save the day!!!  Have fun kiddies and hope to see you in the next player-driven, free market, sandbox mmo that comes out, even if it doesn't involve spaceships.

Some of those characters were created in 2003 when I first started playing, the rest are >2005. I have had enough of CCP and the lies and bull***t. I will take the one remaining character Zervun (100M SPs) and convert all my current isk (30b) to PLEX's, then to Aurum. After that I'll go to the store and buy a new suit and a fine monocle. Jump into the most expensive ship I can find in Jita on contract, undock, self-destruct, pod myself and then biomass then character.
Thanks for the fun times CCP, but you really screwed it up in the end.

I could have waited for a response from CCP on the newsletter. I could have waited for changes to CQ and Incarna. I could have waited to see if CCP got the message from its customer base and acted accordingly.
However...Incarna destroyed hardware on my PC. I was one of the lucky ones in that it only fried my PSU. It only cost me $100 instead of $1000 or more. But I just can't support a company who broke the inherent trust between company and customer. As a customer, we trust that you, as a company, will not release software that is potentially damaging to your customers property. Code was released into a production environment that was flawed and that had the potential to damage hardware with no warning to the customer. It is inexcusable that this made it out of QA without the QA team catching the flaws. Your company's mistakes ended up costing me $100 and some people much more.
I was really enjoying EVE. It is a shame that something that people were looking forward to actually ruined the game. I hope that CCP can learn from these errors and grasp the concept that in order to make money from customers, you have to make customers happy. We are not here to be taken advantage of. We are not a money well that CCP can dip it's bucket into endlessly with no care for our concerns, cares or rights as consumers.
I had to answer these transgressions the only way I could and in a language that CCP appears to understand all too well. With my wallet.

I stopped because CCP is no longer doing anything about the spaceship part of the game, particularly the small scale pvp - the only part I care about.
But I don't understand the big fuss over microtransactions. Evanga you realize a 13 year old (or a 50 year old) can currently use a credit card and buy a titan pilot and a titan don't you?
If it were not for "microtransactions" no one could play eve for free.
Nothing has really changed in this game as far as what you can buy with real money. In fact that real money connection makes this game have real consequences - which makes it fun.
People who are confused by the new currency are just illogical.

I would if i could cancel my 5 accounts but I guess with PLEX you don't have that option in account management. And they're all paid through March.
Normally I'm not big on theatrical gestures, but I think that if enough people cancel that there's a tiny chance that CCP won't break the game after all, but it's gonna take a lot of cancels. Breaking the game is what CCP does best (it's about the only thing CCP does WELL, as a matter of fact,) and old habits die hard.

I love EVE Online, and I've played for +4 years, but as a principle, I refuse to participate in games that are pay-2-win.

I'm sorry to see so many leaving. Yet it was inevitable. When one monocle is sold they have pretty much gained $$ for 3 months gametime (and gotten rid of 3 plexes).

Dear CCP.
I just canceled my subscription. Because I am unhappy and because I want to show my support for everyone else who thinks alike.
Just to clear things up a little, I am not unsubbing for Incarna. Not for the (still) pointless ability to walk in stations, not for loss of usability (drag 'n drop, double click), not for the vanitiy item shop or it's prices.
I am unsubing because I am unhappy. Unhappy with the communication between CCP and the player base. Your player base. It feels like a monologue at times and it went downhill even in the last few month. Ask us. Speek to us. Let us know. Give us time and give yourself time to adjust to certain ideas.
I also really don't like the way you seem to be looking down on us sometimes. I feel offended by statements that were made and didn't hold true. How can I trust you with what you're saying now, when tomorrow you're just like "what do I care about my chatter from yesterday?!". Maybe you are honest after all. But I feel like I have to make sure that the ones who replace eventually will be, too. This is a lesson to be taught.
I also feel offended -although not directly affected- by your plans to charge 3rd party devs for PI licenses. These guys out there should be paid because they are doing your job. Programs like Evemon and EFT are not only a substantial part of EVE's gameplay but I feel like they are a necessity to even be able to play EVE in an enjoyable way. I know, I know, plans have been changed already ans stuff. Had to bring it up though.
Then there is your choice to roll out expansion after expansion (which isn't a bad thing for itself, don't get me wrong) without fixing bugs and issues that affect gameplay for many player a lot more then walking in a room all by yourself is. First fix the game, then add content please.
And last but not least I an very unhappy with your reception of how things are going lately. Seems to be very much off. Your last devblog by Arnar Hrafn Gylfason shows that very clearly, it misses the point the community has been making completely (OK, misses like...70-80%ish).
I paid just a couple of days ago for three month. Consider that the grace period in which I will consider resubbing based on how go on, CCP. And how you deal with us.
I hope for the best. But then again hope is something humans cling to, when they can't face reality. Show me I'm wrong. Please.
All that stands of course without mentioning what a great game EVE is nonetheless. So I would say: Not all is lost, yet.

have been playing eve since beta and realy dont have that much of a problem with MT yet. I have a problem with how CCP management reacts to a massive amount of their customers who have a problem with their product. Zulu's (backed by CCP management) response shows disrespect for their customers by completely disregarding the issue at hand (doesnt even matter if these cutomeer reactions are vallit; apperently it is what they feel and that matters).
I realy hope CCP changes their current course and starts doing again what they were proud of: listening to their playerbase.

I'm paid for another few months yet, so CCP has a chance to win me back. But I was pretty burned out before this hit, and this whole mess of :$99:, a patch that seems to be intentionally competing with Tyrannis for the worst-ever award, and an attempt to ram the least well-considered microtransaction system in history down our throats has got me utterly disgusted with CCP. I just can't see myself paying dollars for this again. Maybe I'll PLEX or something, we'll have to see, but I'm not sure I'll actually care enough to.

Lots of people aren't understanding that unsubbing =/= biomassing. We are no longer putting our money into CCP until CCP wishes to come to terms with the community it has used to wipe its ass with the past week. If they want to go forward down the road to ****ting on its player base then so be it, but many of us are fighting because we want to keep playing a game we love, but until players aren't treated as cash cows anymore we aren't depositing another dime into the wallets of CCCP

-2, 3rd one is on the fence in a corp I kinda like. nothing to do with CCP though and 15 bucks for a chat subscription is a bit dear since they nerfed everything I ever liked doing. The last thing I liked was trying to play with the API but thats a bit dicey now too.

You seems to lack the ability to support yourself in a game where this is a key element. If you're better suited in a single player game i don't know, but i suggest you try that since EVE is not a social welfare program.

i hope to renew them, but i doubt that will happen given the recent developments.

Honestly people that don't like that people get upset about changes like this should leave the game.
Think about how fast 2000+ people decided to protest in Jita - if that is not an awesome fanbase I sure don't know one.
I am running my accounts till they start selling anything other than clothes.
Can't blame CCP for having the idea on the table - the world is about money. I don't get why that seems to surprise so many? CCP is running a business afterall.
Let's just pray that the idea is swept of the table fast after this protest.

2 accounts canceled. Though it's not just because of this patch, I was / am actually looking forward to incarna. I am just, uh, really disappointed they brought in micro(macrolol)transactions. That, and incarna isn't really out yet. I am sure i'll keep watch and resub to try out new patches, but my interest has been dwindling in this game for quite some time (coupled with less and less time to play it).

Before the patch i paid battleclinic for 4 plex in hopes the mt store would have, as my economist professor son told me " succesful mt stores have hundreds of reaally cheap items to encourage impulse purchases, like grocery checkout lines"
So believing ccp could not screw something as simple as that up, i would positioned to have hours of fun trying all the items,,
?...then ...monocle-clysmic incarnage came... what..? All four plex for one item? Real boots costing less than....you all know the story.
But that wasnt why i cancelled..it was the underthecovers look at ccp thinking. From hilmar to cfo to coo...all the great devs cant make up for corrupt, desperate executives with shi tty consultants.
Converting the plex to isk instead or aur and donating to eve radio and random people felt so much better than focusing on my personal vanity.
Then i biomassed the rest. That is the only metric c level decisionmakers look at. ARPU avg revenue per user. If you biomass and cancel they wont have you on the graph.
If new management comes along and brings back 2008 eve it will be the best and biggest sandbox again and ill be back.

CCP, stop trying to making EVE easy. It was never meant to be easy. You're ruining everything for the people that enjoy the difficulty in the game. We pay you to play the game, don't turn into the same thing that every other game was turned into and let everyone just buy their way into the good stuff. Make them spend the time that all of us who have been playing for so long have. We worked and waited for our carriers, dreads and titans. Don't start giving them to the people who are willing to pay real money to have them and have no idea how to fly them. EVE was fine before Incarna, Incursion and the expansions before. to friends and spent a little.
What did I buy you ask?
Well I spent 3.5B on an Astronutics Engineering skillbook, which will be biomassed with this toon. I also own a Gremlin Javelin Rocket BPO, which will also
be biomassed with the toon (one less T2 BPO, for those of you who keep track). I spent a bunch more buying Echelon and Apotheosis ships. Most of the Echelons I simply trashed, some of the shuttles I destructed, some I trashed. I figured driving up the price of rare ships would cause a degree of inflation.

I probably wont be unsubbing for another 3 months (at the most)...I will wait to see if anything positive happens from CCP in that time.
If CCP don't get their act together in that amount of time, they never will.
I'm just left with such a bitter taste in my mouth, over all the cr@p that CCP have dished out recently (not only with the latest expansion, but the last two before that), also their lack of understanding of their own game, and not to mention unfinished features - FW, 0.0 Sov System, bugs etc, etc.
How a company can lose touch so badly, with what their player base craves for, baffles me completely. Complete incompetence on CCP's part

I was gone already earlier few months back bcos of loss of faith in CCP competence. I dont see them doing atm stuff that would go towards regaining that faith. Granted its uphill struggle for them for me. I'll give them a bit more ticking on PLEX to see if they might be able to get their stuff under control and give me enough to be able to believe that the game is not total **** 3 years down the road.

Having watched this uproar from a safe distance my take on it is as follows.
* Angry posters seem to take anything in the worst possible way.
* Angry posters have no understanding of the concept of 'irony'.
* Angry posters have a huge sense of entitlement.
* Angry posters seem to think they represent a significant number of players.
In short, the most annoying players are leaving, and I will be buying a third account.

My sub was inactive, I was waiting for the game to not crash whenever I move a window.
I was planning to resub if it got fixed.
It did get fixed, but after this...
Goodbye. I will most likely not return this time, the game is going down the drain.

Havn't logged in since the patch. At first I was tempted to log in and set skills, but I really can't be bothered. My accounts run out in August. I have 3 unused plex on one of them that I can't be bothered applying. What would be the point?
Eve has been stagnating for some time now. The cash shop killed it off. I might log in again when Eve goes free to play, but probably not.
