Everyone says EQ II and this game has been dying for the past 7 years.
If this is true, and they don't change too much in the mechanics, then at least you can maybe pay with Station Access for all SOE games.

In the recent Massively SWG interview with John Smedley there is this question/response.
Q: So you don't think that sandboxes (and sandbox systems) are dead for SOE? Will you ever make a new sandbox with SWG's pioneering features?
A: The answer is... stay tuned on the subject of sandboxes. We're super excited about the future of sandbox gaming. Let me just leave it at that!

Actually they've changed a LOT over the last 2 years, and it's all been pretty good, I just wish a lot of it had been implemented sooner, they might have done better over the last couple years if all the improvements of the last 2 expansions had been put in place earlier. - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring |

Edited by: Andreas Echerie on 26/06/2011 17:12:41 Hey guys... nothing says "troll post" more than a completely ridiculous accusation with no evidence.
That, and with the "terrible email" being sent BEFORE the massive protests (thus not in reaction to the protests), I wonder if most of you protesters have thought about some of the "evidence" from EN24.

I managed to get on just before it went offline, here's the quoted news:-
Quote: WeÆve recieved the following inside information by a CCP source who has asked to remain anonymous:
SONY and CCP are in talks of having SONY become a major partner, or even a controlling partner, in CCP, via stock acquisition. There is mounting evidence of various operations of the companies becoming closer in nature, function and style. With the recnt closure (24/6) of Star Wars Galaxies, the failed SOE SCI-FI flagship MMO, it may be the case that SOE is looking to acquire a stake in a leading Sci-Fi MMO.
EVE News is closely monitoring the matter and will update as more details emerge. Stay tunedà
While CCP continues to keep players in the dark and ignore their questions other players announce their department from EVE Online.
ôThis, along with some real life factors, are causing my shipÆs drives to power down. Triathlon race season is upon me and my major race, a Half Ironman, is coming up in 4 weeks; it is time for the last major push before race day. Additionally the recent CCP revelations and departure from their original mission statement (seriously CCP, re-read your mission statement), are pushing me into a timeout.ö û Blake Source: http://k162space.wordpress.com/2011/06/26/future-unknown/

Edited by: Bl4ck Ph03n1x on 26/06/2011 17:15:48 No... it can't be true... The best MMO is history can't fall like this... So much technical, human and game concept potential can't be loss in 2 days...
In the next devblog, CCP will tell us it was joke, divide aurum price by 10, give us [Walk in Station/mass effect online], and release a 0.0 fix. It's the only things believable.Everything else is bull****.

Makes sense, no space game, eve will be a nice crumb on the enormous sony empire cookie sheet. A toy to be experimented with and shaken up like an etch a sketch. Sony is famous for knowing everything players want and need, just ask them. < VOMIT> -

EQ II is active but I would not call it very active.

I guess everyone will have to protest their new Sony overlords by a mass threat to quit EVE.

Could this be a diversion tactic by CCP to draw heat away from the raging protest in hopes the players take the lesser of two evils?
- Buying various game breaking items through micro transactions to keep the funds rolling in and CCP owners? (or)
- Dealing with Sony Online Entertainment as partners and all their past histories of cash grabs destroying games?
