How can you say that? I was not aware that you worked in the mergers and acquisitions department at CCP?

Much like everything else on EN24
actually, it was one eve-news. Not that I give a damn about either one but EN24 is River's playpen and this one being discussed isn't -

Sorry but I really don't believe anything that is coming from CCP right now. They straight up lied to us about micro transactions, they left the CSM in the dark and have tried to talk their way out of it by sweet-talking the prices.
They have lied to us in the past, I do not believe a small twitter post, seriously. CCP Fallout can be left in the dark about such things.

CCP Fallout, you see, at this point it doesn't really matter whether it is true or not. The fact that your customers at this point think it might be true speaks volumes alone. Sony has a track record of being utter rubbish, many people actually hate this company.
That your current actions are viewed as even potentially in line with SOE policies and procedures should make you think really long and hard.

This is wrong, in STO's case it is Atari who are looking to sell cryptic studios. Cryptic itself was one of Ataris most successful franchises last period..

You guys got that out within minutes og the rumour going up, and yet several days after this whole MT P2W fiasco broke, there is still no reply. Seriously wtf is going on up there???

Not to call you a lair, but your company has lied to us before mate... Can you comment on that ? Give us one reason why the player base should trust you after all the crap CCP shoved down our throats ? I for one, do not believe anything until it's an official statement.

This would make a lot of sense.
CCP is clearly strapped for cash. Probably because they've spent too much on DUST and World of Twilight.
Doing what they have done to EVE in the last 2 weeks reeks of the douchebaggery that John Smedley is infamous for. Ditching The NGE Game (I refuse to call that crap SWG) makes room for EVE on the Station Pass.
And, in many ways, this makes sense for SOE. CCP has what SOE doesn't have (and hasn't had since their best people fled in the wake of the NGE): Talented Devs.
CCP has some of the best in the business. Look, I have all the faith in the world in EVE's Dev team, I just have NONE in the management...

I have only one thing to say:
If SOE will become a partner of CCP, I have to leave.
They sold an update (for SWG) for a lot money and one day after that they changed the whole game (WOW Stile) and so they loose all old longtime members. This was the day SWG (StarWars Galaxies) died. After that, many of us are sure that SOE will never again get a single cent from us.
I will never again play a Game, where SOE is involved. But I will be very sad if I must leave Eve.

Lying about stuff like this is rather perilous, legally, so what CCP fallout said is most likely accurate.
If you really want to be sure, our news people should contact Sony's PR and ask them; if they say "No" then that's it... If Sony lies about an acquisition, that will garner the attention of the SEC (since they're publicly traded in the US) and they don't want that.
For that to apply, they have to actually deny the rumor, not say "No Comment".

READ WHAT HE SAID! He never said it wasn't being sold. He only said it isn't Sony right now. He didn't say they would remain independant. He said they are currenty independant. All companies are until the sale date. Toll? Time will tell for sure.

No court in the world is going to hear: "Your honor, on Eve-O interwebs spaceship forums at this time."
Also in the sticky he put a time stamp and it has a date... they can simply date the talks with SONY as starting tomorrow for acquisition. That being said, what would be the point. I don't know but a fourm post has no legal issues for CCP employees. -

They won't tell us that any more than they will tell us that the aurum outrage ends with overpriced vanity items.
Having SOE involvement in CCP would be the third kick to the nads this week, on top of the RMT bs, and the $99 extortion fee for players providing services to EVE players.
At the rate they are going this NGE is going it's going to end up worse than the first one.

And you people wonder why they aren't particularly worried about rushing out a blog in response to the troll storm.
It's doesn't matter what they say, you will drown them out with half baked theory crafting and ignore what was actually said.

SOE is allready involved with CCP through dust. The question that was not answered by ccp fallout is wether that partnership will eventually transpire into (parts) of eve online. |

Thanks for the effort, Fallout. But unfortunately, I'm afraid it's not going to do much to quell the insanity that's emerged in the last few days.
Eve seems to have become a hiding place for a bunch of paranoid nutbags who can't distinguish real life from game life. We've seen serious comparison of what's happening here--in a game--to 9-11, the Iran protests, Syria, Tiannanmen Square, and other real life atrocities where actual people died.
While there's nothing in the ToS about borderline mental health issues, there are a few things about trolling and ranting in the forums, as well as intentionally disrupting the game experience.
I'm sure it takes some time to figure out who is and isn't in violation of the ToS--this post, for example, could be read by some as a rant, even though it's not intended to be so--but can you comment on whether CCP intends to address the ToS violations?

Don't <3 so fast. They can do a bulk asset transfer, remaining an independent company without any assests (like Eve). They could sell Eve and keep their other assets while remaining an independent company. You see, you cannot trust what people say, you have to go by what they do, or so a wise man once said.
