Sure hoping the news item is troll and absolute fiction. But in the light of Dust exclussiveness for PS3, CCP's recent actions and the quoted piece of interview... I am cautious to dismiss it straight away. Best course of action - wait and see. Ofc with regards to Sony takeover gossip, the recent crysis with MT should be totally revised by CCP.
EDIT: Read about the Twit denying the buy-out... will do for now ;)

SHUT THE FCK UP WHINING AT EVERTHING YOU TWISTED BITTER VETS.
This could actually be a good thing. Devs will no longer be put in precarious positions of being in the middle of player vs producer wars like we are seeing now.
EVE and its dev teams will be better funded meaning YOU wont get screwed for every penny. With sony being asian, you might even see the subscriptions dissapear entirely in favour of a better micro-transaction system.. who knows ?.
It could be a good thing so I endorse the take-over.

CCP is not an independent company though, there are many, many shareholders and the founders only have 4% of the company. Who all has the rest, and does Sony own any CCP shares. Please provide proof. (Sorry, but we honestly can't believe anything that you guys say anymore...)

I hate to use a BSG line, but it fits!
Wouldent suprise me at all if its true. CCP has bitten off more than they can chew trying to develop too many games. MT is not going over like they had hoped, now they are facing money problems. In steps SOE to save the day!
If SOE takes over EVE, be prepared for half azzed content and buggy patches pushed out in pre-beta condition, MT for ships twice as good as can be in-game crafted, Ships that re-spawn after being destroyed, No more penalty to dieing, Slow painful death of the in-game crafting system, EVE devs fired for resisting changes, Deleting of all topics that say anything negitive towards EVE, lots of folks banned.
Ive seen it happen and so far, this past week has been all too familar.

Might be because that one could be solved pretty quick by picking up the batphone, and business decisions that are not yet decided upon take a little longer.
