NAV or wallet? If NAV, all I did was posting on the forums and buy and then sell 1 item on the markets. I also have a BPO research facility but it's not an huge revenue at all, I mostly keep it to research / invent my own stuff.

Ahhhh the days when they were useless and sold for about 100 isk each. I took a massive gamble and sunk every spare penny I had into buying as many of these suckers as I could, in the unfounded hope that one day CCP would make them useful.
These days I mainly do trade, because I'm lazy.

Actually, I'm a bit more recent than that (started Aug/Sept 2009). They were already useful by this time but that may have been a relatively recent development as you could pick them up in Amarr for between 200 and 225 and sell them in Jita for c. 250. The profit margin stayed at roughly 10% for something like 4 months until someone(s) started manipulating the market in Jita (something still going on to this day, I believe). Volumes were the key thing as 4-5k units per day was fairly easily doable and one day just before Christmas 2009 I even managed to grab 10k units (I guess many of the student players were away from their machines as competition disappeared for a few days). Running 3-4bil cargos of salvage through the Amarr-Jita pipe in a t1 frigate two or three times a day kept me nicely topped up with adrenalin!

First 50 = buy low, sell high. Basically abused people's laziness and it took about a year. Second 50 billion = same thing but expanded to 3 toons and took about 3/4 a year doing it extreemly partime. Third 50 billion = Currently 37 billion in about 2 months. Was able to take advantage of a some special sitiuations.
This is all in NAV, I'm down to about 17bil in cash n escrow.
Have a 4th toon in the pipeline but stopped the training process because I really cbf to put him to work. The only reason I keep doing it is because it's like picking money up off the floor.
I've shown 2 friends how to do what I do and at first I met some resistance because they didn't believe it could be so simple. Now they are both paying for multiple accounts with pure plex.
The moral? It's really simple. Buy low, sell high... you just need to figure out the where and what.

Find a toon that has potential that no-one is interested in because it cant do what they want out the box. Train it up for a few months to make it sparkly. Sell it and by this time buyers will bite your arm off.
Not doing it any more as cba.

Did the same thing here. Had up to 6 accounts just incubating bargain character into fotm's for a fairly quick turn-over, average polish took 3-6 months depending on what I was shaping them into. Easiest money I ever made.

This is just a ruff estimate as its been too long to remember all the ways how I made isk:
1# Mining (use to make about 50b in about 80 hours or less "10 accounts", currenlty take about 250 hours) 2# Patch Speculation (100-500% profits 3-4 months) 3# Capital Ship Production (use to make 50-100% profits, currently only 10%) 4# Super Capital Production (Use to make 100-150% profits, currently about 25-75%) 5# Buy Orders in Jita Selling in 0.0 (30-40% profits) 6# Buy and sell in jita (10-20% profits)
Enjoy .

Edited by: Shay Shay on 28/06/2011 20:23:13 In somewhat chronological order:
I started life as a ratting dope somewhere in 2007, didn't have much direction. Stumbled upon a friendly newb corp in a few months and by the end of the year they trusted me implicitly. Needless to say, I got my start scamming this corp. Retired that character a few weeks after making away with a nice group of BPOs. Later the same year I started what I expected to be an even better swindler character, trained for research/industry crap, and found my way into a slightly more affluent carebear corp. As luck would have it there was not much to steal from these people. They were smarter, more cautious, but just as friendly. I played the waiting game to see if I could push my luck and started a second account to ease the boredome.
Somewhere between my second and third characters I found my way into trading. My most recent character became a station monkey and I continued to ply my wicked diplomacy with the indy corp. Nearly a year later I was still looking for my window, barely active, but still in the good graces of the leadership. My trader had begun to really take off as i'd had a good eye for the market. I had the idea of providing one of the more influential members of the corp incentive to trust me. Over a period of a few weeks I found out exactly what he was producing and crashed the market with my trade alt. The stubborn vet was aroused from his bitter slumber after two solid weeks of producing at-cost or worse, and began grumbling in corp chat. I told him that I had better luck in other hubs and that he should work with me to see better returns.
So I had a fun game going with him, he would contract me goods one week, I would throttle back on screwing his market and he would see increased returns. After a month of this, he decided that I was clearly the greatest asset the corp had ever had and I rose quickly in the corp ranks. I surveyed my new position in the corp to see what kind of heist might be possible from my new position, but sadly there was still not much for the taking. These vets were relatively smart and had personal caches. It dawned on me then, that perhaps I had been going about this the wrong way. I took my leave of the corp and set myself on a new course. One that would prove to be the most halariously simple and effective scam I had ever pulled off: My own corporation.
I left that corp on good terms, insisting that I wanted to create a haven for new players and provide them with incentive to enjoy the game with a group of friends. Several members of my last corp decided that this was indeed noble and came to help me recruit for my "all things pve rookie corp." Things settled just as I had planned. With three of my lackeys recruiting around the clock we soon had nearly a hundred members clamouring for direction. I assigned "mission commanders," and "mining operations," as well as "professional haulers," extremely limited roles and acces to token junk that I had picked up over the years. Some, predictably, "scammed," and ran off with an iteron I or a retriever, but the majority stayed and quickly filled (my) corp wallet with isk from bounties. I ran this racket for almost three years, using their own minerals to build cheap ships (the token gifts) and siphoning off billions of isk in corporate funds to increase my trader's capital.
At the end of those three years I had nearly 425bil from the corp as well as my trading business plus the profits from the stolen BPOs. I finally decided that my fortune had been made. Not interested in keeping up the "I love newbies," charade any longer. I emptied the corp wallet for the last time, sold the character, and rode off into the sunset. My trader, inexorably linked to my corp director scam, soon followed. I bought a new trader soon after, and started training a pvp alt. I haven't really worried about isk since that time.

Make freinds and nevar ever ever f&&k them over. That help me make a ton of isk.
See what everyone is doing and do somthin else.
First 6-7 years I made no real isk in eve at all. Maybe 5 bil most ever.
Last 2 years decided to stop being a pvp scrub with no isk and set out to make a some kinda huge passive income for myself.
So now my NAV is nice but locked up and making me about 70-80 bil a year and involves less mouse clicks per year than a single fleet fight.
Ow and be lucky.

If you want to make money in eve and you dont particulay care who gets burned in the proces this is a way to do it
Basic guide:
1.Carebear... 2.Carebear... 3.Carebear some more... 4.Joine 0.0 one without monthly fee but with only normal tax 5. Loose drake to cta 6. carebar
Advance guide:
method 1. Find friends you know in RL, buy 0.0 system. exploit, cyno everything out if things start to look bad, go offline for 3 days.. rent new system.. refer old system as you are trusted (this part is optional)
Method 2 Join new 0.0 pvp corp that recruits only pvp ers and be background logistics... would be good if whole alliance was pvp... Loos an occasional drake to CTA Transport... always everithing for everibodey... 1000 trit 1000 trit (important for next step) If ever called to reports copy past this "I fly stuff in so you guys can have cheap mods to shoot at other guys.. here is 100 000 EMP M"
Method 3 Alt + max market skills + cloaky tengu + main in corp/alliance faring in stuff = pure 0.0 exploitation that cant be traced to you unless you are stupid and have the alt on your mains account... has to be an alt which nobody knows of is not added to contacts... basically NO CONNECTION TO YOUR MAIN... main fly's in stuff ... alt in space in claoky makes orders... buy trit for 0.01 sell for 10. :)
Method 4 Similar to method 3 but if system overpopulated fly alt with no connections in SB to a said system... scare everybody in station.. continue to mine arkonor :P works for 7 days.. then you have to kill somebody... and you can kill yourself only 1 time or youll get suspisious... also if you dualbox wach for random dces so you and the "red" dont dc at same time... you can use the said alt also to blow up blues and greens when they fly faction stuff around... or haulerz...
Method 5 Steal titan
Method 6 Be the biggest carebear, get roles in corp... fuel pos.. whait 30 days.. unancor poss steal moon go.... or something similar
WHAT not to do: 1. pvp 2. avoiding CTA (you will get kicked for that) - with the profit youll be bringing in you can afford to loose 1 drake per 5 days. Consider this a tax 3. ceap wallet always under 100 mill... ceo has your API.. if he sees 1 bill and you dont continouly pvp in a pvp corp, you will be frowend upon... buy something if nothing else in higsec or if everibodey sees money buy something thats beneficial for corp and they cant take like a carrier...
WHAT to do: 1. be nice 2. be polite 3. be funney 4. be HELPFUL TO PEOPLE (haul their crap and buy them occasionally something up to 5 mill be the guy who has that 1 wierd mod he is missing to fit his pvp ship) 5. claim not to know pvp but willing to learn.. fly a drake or a ECM boat (even cheaper) 6. go on pvp rampage at least once in 2 month... loose 100 mill in cruisers and drakes but force pvp... claim you have time 7. after step 6 . claim you dont have time dont answer to convoes pretend you are AFK... after 2 days carebear again. 8. join opposite TZ.. if eu join US... they will see you online but they will see less of you... so you just need to befrend a director and thats about it 9. mix with the brass DONT MIX with the grunts... Avoid new people in corp, avoid old pro inteligent people who win at eve, suck up to CEO and directors and FCs, dont be associated with anybody weird in case they get kicked... 10. be at least 35 years old and be part of a middle lover class that is living in a rented apartment, works in something obscure but understandable that cant be remembered (junior administrator in a gardening store or something like that) Have goals in life and you are seeing somebody... but basically be an underachiever...
If interested in joining a Carebear criminal conglomerate convo me :)
Troll and lolz cant brake my bones but poor pvpers excite me :)

I wouldent corp steal.... Bad rep.. you have to buy new character... better to be a noob.... and a carebear... then a thief... plus when you work your way up to 3 accounts and a JF you can haul stuff an mass and everibodey will love you.... you never hire a JF pilot for alliance that has a bad rep...
So in my opinion outright stealing is bad... it is a way to make money.... but its a short cutting corners theory.... why steal 500 mill when you could be making 5 bill a month in a stable alliance. But if you are gona steal steal a titan... dont steal a mothership they are cheap... steal a titan so if you go out you go out with a bang....
I agree with you on the profiteer part... |

As a lonely peasant in EVE. I have made a living cleaning station hangars and captains quarters.
There was one night though, when I was cleaning the corporate hangars, that I came across a few blueprints and a few hangars full of items. Now the blueprints looked at me and said, Take me please! Stop these people abusing us! Will you help us please?
So.. of course I did help them, I took them out of the hangar and also the items too. With my nose raised up high, I screamed, be free you blueprints! free into my hangar to be sold! then quickly bolted the doors shut. Sadly I forgot about the items so I had to open the door and squeeze them in too.
At the end of the night, I was feeling good, Blueprints safely locked up, items cuddling them too but there was this itch at the back of my mind. Something I couldn't really put my hand on... But then realized I don't have a touch screen so I had to use my mouse and click on the wallet. I saw a few bits of lonely pesky iskies in there but not enough to give me that raging hard on Im always after so I left them to the higher ups to purchase another shuttle with.
With the blueprints and items in my cargohold... surely they must know I took it by now... So I picked up a useless Item, well a few of them and dumped them into a members hangar "Hahahahahaha" I laughed to myself as this was truly the work of a genius.
Following day, Most of the members are online, crying sweat ginger tears. They didn't know what happened. As a respected cleaner for the corp, I said "Hey assh=les, who stole our stuffz?!" More tears came it was Glorious!
Then, out of nowhere, a Director came online! Finally the corp screamed, someone can finally tell us what happened, Where is our stuff? "Quiet jew boys" replied the director "I shall look into this immediately". "We've been robbed!" Cried the Director. This didnt help the corp members as they started crying again until the Director had a thought, a vision. A vision of Looking into Corp members hangars, as he looked upon the hangars, he saw one member another director to which a lot of crap was there. Crap that's normally in the corp hangar.
He was dealt with swiftly. His roles where removed by the Chief, he was disowned and he was ****d. His corpse ravaged by the jew claws of the amarr empire themselves!
For me, the story ends here, as I continue to linger in the dark taking your loot, blueprints, ISK, children and anything else I can get my grubby little hands on.
Remember, I am there watching you, In the dark quiet corners of your Captains Quarters, touching myself with your isk.
BTW: Looking for corp, anyone recruiting? Experience in being a Corp Director and Researcher also part time accountant.
These posts represent my Personal views and not those of my Corporation nor my Alliance. |

First rule is that more than 70% lie about their income, and their revenue. The reason for this is to hide they plex, or are poor. Reason: To build status they can use for getting into a corp, preparations for a scam ++
Second is that the more specialist you get the more isk yes, but until a certain point 2-3 bil. The reason for that is the there are a limited amount of items for sale to make the, rare, or specialist.
Third: Most traders would be better off running mission when they count isk, per H
My advice is get really good at one product first, then be better at it.

Enjoy
This is a bit off topic but why did you suicide your JF on one of our POSes?
Temporary craziness? Or then he was so intimidated by your mighty POSes that he decided to honor you by saving your time.
I hear Morsus Mihi has had a pretty good track record of losing JFs themselves ;)

Cyberdyne R-D has a working contract with Concord to develop new game "features" and though the Jump Portal is intended for a Titan class ships our engineers are very creative and figure out how to connect it to the Jump Drive system of our Anshar gher while it was contained in the cargo bay... unfortunatally since it is intended to fit into a high slot and the freighter is not equiped with this feature we "miscaculated" the targeting computer and ended up randomly landing outside your POS... this was very unfortunate as we were attempting to cargo a clients assets at the same time... No worries however the client has been re-embursed and evertyhing is well... Besides the Jump Freighter lost during our prototype portal....!

We always love to save clients time and money... however in this instance this was not the case. .

We'll if you must know my great grandfather pionered the modern monocle and patented it. And since his passing a few years ago that involved cheap walmart clone, I have since inherited said patent. And I make a sizeable profit from each monocle produced.
