There are several other Threads started by people all having the same issue.
Im thinking CCP is WELL AWARE of it based on the amount of Devalt hate crimes transpiring from your post.
They need to try and make you think "Its only you" or "User Error"
When in fact, it is not. the button clearly does not show up in CHROME.
Granted, they may have a very simple way of turning it on/off.
If a lot of people start cancelling, then they turn it on as a buffer, to try and mitigate. And the turn itback on as the amount of people cancelling dips below "WE FAIL" levels.

Based on the tool set he mentioned he probably isn't a software developer, he's likely a web designer, which also explains the Apple-like elitism for browser choices.
He's likely a web designer, and not a web programmer, since he doesn't realize browser incompatibility issues are common :P

It works on Safari. It MUST work everywhere else. You guys just don't know how to use your browser.

Button shows up in Chrome for me. Looking at the lack of portrait in the background of the image the OP posted I suspect that he forgot to login before he went looking for the button.

That's a possibility, it definitely doesn't show up if you aren't logged in.

Based on my tests, CCP actually does HIDE the unsubscribe link
No it doesn't. Everyone else in this thread can see the unsubscribe link right there in one of the menu on the account management page. You quite obviously fscked your browsers into non-functionality, and being a sysadmin with 20 years' experience in dealing with developers, I can say I am about as unsurprised by this as I could possibly be and still be awake.
Originally by: Mr Ravenblade and they seem to do it based on the USER AGENT of the browser that you are using from what data I can find in my tests, with a timeout so that once actived, it send the correct links to your ip no matter what browser you use It would not show AT ALL on the page when I used chrome, because the option was never sent to the page - the option really doesn't exist in the list so it never shows up - and then I logged out and then changed the user agent string that my browser sends to identify my browser to make it emulate "Internet Explorer".. BAM suddenly the option shows up
And yet... Chrome Linkage
Originally by: Mr Ravenblade I personally think this is intentional, to keep people who use chrome from canceling their subscriptions. Why? Because based on some marketing I read once when I worked in web marketing and my life deended on it, people that use IE are the poorest and least likely to buy things, while people who use chrome and other browsers are more likely to have extra money for things like - for example - a subscription to Eve they don't use. I see this as a stop-gap measure to annoy people who have extra money just enough that they "forget" to unsubscribe so CCP has a better and more stable income stream.
And this, however much it massages your ego making you think you are part of some kind of elite, is absolute boll*x, as proved by the fact that everyone else can get to the unsubscribe link from Chrome and Firefox, even Firefox for Linux, which is the browser of choice for international millionaire-genius playboys who dabble in espionage and vintage car racing, as I could easily prove by citing the example of myself and most of my friends. By the way, you dropped your tinfoil hat.
Originally by: Mr Ravenblade Yes I know what it sounds like,. but this is eve, and CCP we are talking about here. Either way, I'm un-subbed.
Well, thank fsck. One less conspiracy nutter in the crowd. It's not like they're an endangered species after all.

As has been pointed out before, you have to log in first.
As your linked pic shows, you did not.
Move along, nothing to see here.
