File a petition, if they don't help, call your bank, if that doesn't work, call a lawyer and cry a lot on the phone, sue for damages, buy ccp and we can get rid of this MT BS.
My faith in CCP will return SoonÖ We'll watch what you do not what you say.

Based on my tests, CCP actually does HIDE the unsubscribe link, and they seem to do it based on the USER AGENT of the browser that you are using from what data I can find in my tests, with a timeout so that once actived, it send the correct links to your ip no matter what browser you use It would not show AT ALL on the page when I used chrome, because the option was never sent to the page - the option really doesn't exist in the list so it never shows up - and then I logged out and then changed the user agent string that my browser sends to identify my browser to make it emulate "Internet Explorer".. BAM suddenly the option shows up.
I personally think this is intentional, to keep people who use chrome from canceling their subscriptions. Why? Because based on some marketing I read once when I worked in web marketing and my life deended on it, people that use IE are the poorest and least likely to buy things, while people who use chrome and other browsers are more likely to have extra money for things like - for example - a subscription to Eve they don't use. I see this as a stop-gap measure to annoy people who have extra money just enough that they "forget" to unsubscribe so CCP has a better and more stable income stream.
EDIT: Yes I know what it sounds like,. but this is eve, and CCP we are talking about here. Either way, I'm un-subbed.
If you are living in the U.S., and I believe you are based on the rant in your OP.
I'm pretty sure you that you being stupid can be blamed on CCP in court. With a good lawyer, you could walk out of this a wealthy man.

So basically what's happening is that your user agent is somehow messing up your Cookies for whichever server serves the drop down menu so it thinks you're not logged in, however the servers which serve the rest of the page seem to have no problem. You're not running the dev or beta versions of Chrome are you? (But basically your user agent is malformed or generally some part of your http headers that the user agent extension might have fixed)

If you are having a problem, it can only be on your end, never on CCP's end. Upgrade your hardware. If that doesn't work, contact your ISP.

I have spent the last few minutes looking, and I cant find it as it doesnt seem to exist.
I'm *this* close from calling my bank and just asking them to do a charge back, since CCP is not ALLOWING me to unsubscribe when and how I see fit, as required by the laws of my country.
Please note that this is not a "the option not rendering" scenerio; I'm software developer myself, so I have all the requisite debugging tools installed in my browser and in chrome, its even simply as all i have to do is right click examine element.. and both a search of the page code, the page loaded, and a fast jaunt through the loaded DOM gives nothing for being able to unsubscribe. I have confirmed this by copying the pages loaded DOM and saving them to a text file, and then manually confirming that no such "unsubscribe" link exists.
Needless to say, I am not happy about this and am wondering the following:
1. Is anybody else experiencing this issue? 2. Do we have any lawyers in the house?
If you are a lawyer and your willing to help me push this issue, please say so.

There is a bug with it, i had to set up IE to get it to work, Opera and Firefox would not show the unsub button. Its impressive that CCP has managed to **** me off right till the moment i leave.

I successfully cancelled 2 accounts (in chrome) and the link was not there for my other 2 accounts (in chrome).
All 4 accounts have been paid using plex for several months, so it's not a big deal for me, but there it is.
Also, there were some others who clicked the cancel button and got a "page not found" message.

Dude, way to overreact due to your own incompetence. CCP's designs aren't necessarily intuitive, but do you seriously think that CCP intentionally have made it impossible to unsubscribe?

hmm, seems to be there just fine. that is with a CC. also, the message in the background is the welcome back message that you get when you undo canceling sub.

Weird enough though I could cancel 2 accounts ok, if I did it in Explorer. But the 3rd, that is ony a month old and paid for a year, still refuses to show up.
Looks like it's not so much a browser thing but has more to do with the account it self.

I'm not only a lawyer, im also a criminologist. Surely you will hire me to do some research on this. It will conclude in vague observations about how hiding unsubscribing buttons in general could be a valid tactic to keep people from unsubscribing, because of some psychological bull**** involved and efforts people are willing to take etc.
Won't help your case though, but cost you many monocles. I need money as much as CCP does.

There is no browser issue. There is no conspiracy.
To unsubscribe, you must have a subscription.
So if you use PLEX, or if you purchase monthly / three months / six months credits, you do not get a "cancel" option as you already have a time limit. When your credit runs out, your account is suspended.
If you ticked "automatically bill me" or whatever the exact wording is to request a rolling payment progamme, only THEN you will find a "cancel" option under the Game Time menu.
EVE used to have a generally more intelligent class of player, now it just seems to be a bunch of muppets shouting "this game's too hard" at every single thing. *sigh*
