You have consistently been one of the people at CCP who demonstrates a real and tangible passion for Eve Online. You put a lot of hard work into making this game as good as it can be for this group of socially-backward, aspie ******s. You do not deserve the malice and vitriol that you received from us due to the Fearless newsletter. Anyone who has worked for a large company will recognize that newsletters like that are internal indoctrination tools. They are produced in order to disseminate messages from upper-management to the rest of the company. The claim that it is merely a forum for discussion is simply not true. But I have absolutely no doubt that you wrote that opinion piece because you were told to do so. You drew the short straw on that one and have been demonized for just doing your job. I apologize for that on behalf of the player-base. We love you, and we love what you do for the game. To CCP Manifest, It being a Sunday, I doubt Soundwave is in the office today. If you would be so kind as to e-mail him a link to this post, I would appreciate it. This has been enormously unfair to him and I feel like he should understand that the vast majority of us recognize that. Also, thanks to you for doing your job. I can't imagine being occupationally obligated to read through these terrible posts.

I wasn't a part of the rabble rousing by any means, but I too feel compelled to apologize for those that were. I personally don't know if the opinions you expressed were accurate or exaggerated for the newsletter. Frankly, while I personally tend to believe the latter, I could really care less at this point. You are certainly entitled to your personal opinion about the numerous ways that MT could have been added to EVE, just as these folks are entitled to theirs. Both groups now know what the company stance is in that regarding MT now, and that is all that really matters. Everything else is pointless, not to mention annoying. As it is, I'm quite content to take a government tax break for the charitable donation of my time and presence.

At least when Fearless was published it had to at least pass a certain amount of censor. I don't know or care if soundwave was really to blame at this point, for all I know he was asked to write up an article that was not even his own opinion. I dont make a single apology for any of the actions this commuity took against him or CCP however. There is far more evidence to suggest wrongdoing then right.

Nothing was proven down at the CSM meeting. All that was said is that fearless was considered to be toilet reading. Furthermore, the CSM are not infallible. Mittani said he believed that he won the war overall, but I highly doubt he went that and flatout argued with them for the entire trip over nothing. There was obviously heavy resistance from CCP.

I know a lot of us, including myself, expressed extreme anger toward the Fearless article, and whether or not you were playing Devil's Advocate, I cannot ignore the fact that you are part of a team that has been bringing us cool stuff to improve our Flying in Space experience and I hope your commitment to that end is unwavering.
