After watching topics with questions about faction ships pop up on a daily basis I figured it might be useful to put all the questions and answers in one topic to from the guide sticky.
1) Which Factions give out faction ships? Currently the following factions give out Faction Ships: Gallente Federation Caldari State Amarrian Empire Minmatar Republic Angel Cartel Serpentis Guristas Pirates Blood Raider Covenant Sanshas Nation
The following factions do NOT give out faction ships: Ammatar Khanid Kingdom Intaki Syndicate Thukker Tribe Sisters of Eve Mordu's Legion Command Interbus ORE
2) How do I get a Faction ship? In order to get one of these ships youÆll need to work for an agent that works for a corporation who is part of a faction that is on the list above. For example: An agent working for the Gallente Senate will give out Gallente Faction ships. Any corporation within the factions mentioned above will give out the same faction ships.
The fastest way of getting a faction ship is by working for a level 4 agent, since level 3's and below donÆt give quite as much loyalty points per mission.
Once you reach a certain level of loyalty points your agent might offer you the ship. Your agent will randomly take an offer from the 10 offers that are closest to your current amount of loyalty points.
Once you get the offer your agent will request something in return, this varies per offer but usually comes down to either: a normal ship + trade goods + and a Nexus chip or a Pirate Dog Tags.
3) What will agent want for the ship besides Loyalty Points? This varies per offer, there are 2 types of offers you can get. A: The æharderÆ offer which requires LPS + Dog Tags in exchange for a BPC, this type costs the least LPS. B: The æeasierÆ offer which requires LPS + Several Trade Goods a Tech I ship and a Nexus chip. B will cost you more Loyalty points but all of the items needed are fairly easy to find, offer A will require several hard to get Dog Tags, though searching in them for the trade channels/trade forums will usually get you the ones you need.
For exact details per ship offer you can check out Hido's agent offers database. It contains most ships and items your agent will offer you.
4) Where do find these Nexus Chips? Please note that this section is a work in progress, finding info about these chips is quite a pain.
Nexus chips can be gotten trough agent offers just like ships and items. There are 3 diffrent chips, one for Frigates, one for Cruiser and One for Battleships. The Gallente for example have: Gallente Alpha Nexus Chip - Battleships Gallente Beta Nexus Chip - Cruisers Gallente Gamma Nexus Chip - Frigates
From what i found out you can get offer for the chips between the following LPS levels: 500-2.000 LPS - Frigate Chip 2.000-5.000 LPS - Cruiser Chip 5.000-10.000 LPS - Battleship Chip
So far everything indicates all agents within a faction regardeless of their corporation or agent division will offer you the Nexus chips.
Please note that any more information regarding the mount of LPS your chip costed is welcome, itll allow me to narrow down the exact amounts needed.
5) Why are T2 ships better then Faction ships? Faction ships can be compared to named items, theyÆre better then the T1 versions but canÆt match the T2Æs. Basically theyÆre ænamedÆ ships (Though some are better looking then T2 ships and have æuniqueÆ models).
TheyÆre generally considered collectors items rather then real ships, mainly because only the Named Battleships can out perform normal battleships in the battlefield. (Until T2 Battleships come out) T2 Cruisers and Frigates will kick any faction ships ass.

Added to the top sticky
P.S.: You might want to add ORE Syndicate to the list of factions not giving out faction ships

Good post. We need to encourage more people to contribute to the agent offer DB. I myself am guilty of this as well.
Any links to what missions/levels that contain some of the specific tags that are needed for the offers? Just an FYI i have found that level 2 mission rats seem to drop silver shadow/dread, etc tags alot more frequently than any other level mission.

Most likely: Mach: Tempest (Since Arch Angels are Minmatar rats) Nightmare: Apocalypse (Being Amarr ratsies)
Though im not 100% sure Pirate factions offer the Pre-Build option, i was actually wondering about this on my way home since pirates dont have nexus chips, which are part of the Trade goods you need for the Pre-Build version.
Ore has also been added to the list, forgot that one

You could try to see if one of the 4 angel cartel corps will let you work for them. Killing Arch Angels will drop your Arch Angel (Corp) and Angel Cartel (Faction) standing but the Domination, Salvation and Guardian Angels should still be neutral to you. And since these 3 corps are part of the Angel Cartel those too offer the Mach ---------------------------

Great post, I think it needs a small section on acquiring nexus chips though. It took me a bit of forum diving to find out the very little I know about them and would like to see some info on how best to acquire them.

Buuut since the faction hate me, the agents of corporations within the faction will inherit that faction standing towards me, just like corporations do for positive standing... unless it doesn't work the same way in reverse as it does forwards

Good idea, im gonna look into that since i dont the exact requires for them. I recall agents give them out at several thousand lps?

Well i havent tested but i always assumed that even if your faction standing was low you could still talk to corps in that faction who are neutral to you.
Though you can easily check ingame by simply checking the list of Guardian Angel agents to see which can/cant use. I dont have any really low standinds so i cant check myself.

Named Item = Upgraded Tech I Officer item = T1 upgraded beyond T2. Faction ships = Named ships = Upgraded T1 ships below T2. Officer ships dont exist, though perhaps one day they might add something like "Salvador Sarpati's Customized Vindicator" ---------------------------

Excellent information, Joshua.
Have you any information or news on how these will be modified with the upcoming agent missions nerf/buff in the next patch?
Currently missions have had reduced LPs, reduced loot drops, and there are serious considerations in reducing bounties as well returning mission running to its pre-exodus numbness.
Just curious.

This is not correct. I asked a developer if i can get a faction ship (I asked for the Navy Issue Raven) from every corp of the faction. Answer was NO. You have to work for the faction Navy agents!!! Otherwise you will get some ships offered (HAC, Assault Frig, Interceptors, all kind of tech 1 ships) but never a faction ship.

I replied to you twice asking which developer said that, you never replied. Zrakor (The mission developer) also replied to your post stating you where wrong. + ive gotten Navy ships from non navy corps so i doubt im wrong
Originally by: Zrakor
Originally by: Seramis You get faction ships only from agents working for the Navy of the faction (Caldari Navy for Caldari, Amarr Navy for Amarr empire ...). For Pirate factions u have a 'trading' and a 'fighting' corp of the pirates (True Poer is the fighting, True Creations the trading/building part of Sansha's Nation for example). There only the fighting part gives out a faction ship. I asked a developer because i made also missions for a wrong corp of Caldari and wondered that i get no faction ship offer (was over 200k LP at the agent).
Hmm, actually you can work for any corp of the appropriate faction. The faction ship offers are configured so that they are faction based, not corporation or division based.
@Icarus, The only thing i know is that High Sec rewards will be going down because the forumla was broken at first. (And hopefully low sec rewards will go up ) Bounties will remain the same so there will be no real chance in profit. ---------------------------

Ok. I have a confirmed Gallente Battleship chip offer from a guy i bought the chip from. He got it from a 8000 LP offer from a lvl3 Federation Administration agent in Luminaire. So it seems that you don't need to work for a agent from a Hightech corp to get it.
