I for one am glad that this is how our CSM's choose to spend their time!!!
CSM should be trying to **** on everyone in EVE and ruin the economy of a broken EVE right? Publically no less. I also like that our CSMs are abusing the macrobot feature in order to temp ban everyone mining in a mac.
Also...
I am impressed with the rest of the CSM's silence on this matter as well! Well done! It is good to see that Goonswarm and Pandemic CSM's have no other interests the the bettering of EVE Online!

I get that but where the csm was actually quoted (albeit in an end around way but - seriously, how hard they pretended that wasnt what he was saying was just funny) telling ppl in his corp not to report or "****" fellow Goons was just funny. It was even more funny when Sreegs came into the thread (an ex Goon CCP employee hired as security for the game - lol just lol). Oh you mean the thread where he said this:
"We do not condone botting. We think it is destructive to the game. We tell people not to bot and strongly discourage it because it's stupid and easily caught, not to mention it cheapens the effort of players who play the game the way it was meant to be. We are also not CCP's policemen. It is not our job to police botting or EULA breaking activities in the game, this is CCP's job. CCP Sreegs is doing a wonderful job policing this and we support his actions. Asking a playerbase to police EULA infractions is dumb and it is not our place. There is a report bot mechanism, we encourage people to use it." Notify: You are eaten by the Whumpus

It doesnt cure it. You still maintain the breeding ground for the disease.
I hope Goonswarm has fun in their campaign, really. it's what eve is. But to think it solves the problem is just delusional.

You're an idiot. My comment is regarding the flawed voting systems, which allows for Vote inflation via multiple/inactive accounts. You end up with CSM's that come from the largest nullsec alliances, all of whom have their own personal agenda's. |

Well if you're bored and have the tools to do it, it's optional to go out with a bang. Nothing wrong with that.
Up to ccp to keep the masses entertained so the concept of killing THE game contrary to killing YOUR game isnt applicable.

It doesnt matter what Goons or anyone else does really. It matters what grounds the game is build on, the options it provides. That's the reall issue that can cause or cure any malicious activity.

What Mittens and his goonies are doing is entirely within the bounds of acceptable gameplay in EVE.
That said, it's also a douche move, and should be remembered next year during Election time.
If a significant portion of Hisec coordinated their voting, not only would Hisec get its fair share of delegates, but Mittens would lose his position as chair (assuming he decides to run again).
Also, if you believe that changes need to be made to the voting system for CSM, you should start a thread in Jita Park and agitate for them now. CSM - because I have not yet plumbed the depths of my inherent masochism! CSM 6 Activities Summary | My CSM blog |
