On the other hand, ice can be sold for almost double what it used to go for. So my net income hasn't changed all that much, but now I'm having more fun. OK, call it a success.

I think goons have honestly done a great job here. They came and applied pressure in an industry that is used to operating in safety. Now these ice miners have reacted and adapted to the goon threat with their own innovation and coordinated teamwork. There are people helping out from all over the galaxy who dont even usually mine ice just for a chance to help fight back.

I think everyone's having a lot of fun and playing the game on a higher level. It's too bad this got reversed so quickly, but I'm sure the goons will attack another sector of the economy soon enough, and they will be even more prepared and dangerous this time.

Guys, I don't think you understand what it is the goons are trying to accomplish. Their goal isn't to kill mackinaws. Their goal is to disrupt the market. They do not care if you have figured out how to mine in safety. They do not care if you managed to survive. They don't even care if you are making billions off of the disrupted oxytope market.
