The Big Chinese wall will be destroyed and rebuilt before this movie comes out.. so try watching other videos first :)
I hate trailers, if they are good they make you suffer!!

It feels like homeworld at the start.. and bit like battlestar galactica when they are fighting but it's just EVE all the way.. I luv it... CCP should hire these guys.. ..they make better trailers than they do...

1. Was any of that footage actually from in game or was it just using the models? (obviously most of it wasn't ... just can't tell if it ALL wasn't)
2. Was the person who made that a professional in computer graphics?

They did release a second teaser. Well, think thechnically it was the first teaser,a dn this is a previe. Or trailer. Or soemthing. Regardless, tehre is another Darwin's Contraption related snippet.
Edit: And they can't ahve bad marketing, they aren't selling anything.(CCP should get in on that tbh, after the first set of episodes)

Liquids from a pod would not freeze in space, quiet the opposite. Since there is nothing for the liquids to transfer energy to it wont freeze, it would only absorb energy from solar radiation and stuff and would boil sooner then freezing.
Actually you mentioned the mechanism, it's boiling. Due to the lack of pressure at the surface because of the vacuum the liquid boils at very low temperatures compared to what it boils at with 14 psi over it. The warmer (higher energy) particles carry energy away from the remaining liquid causing it to freeze. So the liquid both boils and freezes simultaneously. Just about any physics class you take will demonstrate this with a bell-jar a vacuum pump and some water.
The inaccuracy comes from the lack of a momentary (rapidly disipating) gas cloud from the boiling.

To the people who are asking about when this will be released.. Im pretty positive its coming in EON 4, the cover says "The Evolution of a CGI Spectacular." Which i thing means computer generated video or something lol. Also note how the poster is created by a BoB member.

I personally am starting to think that this movie is an urban legend; kinda like pink elephants, the easter bunny, etc. etc. I know, I know, I just burst some bubbles about the easter bunny thing, but it had to be done. My sympathies go out to those who still believed that this was ever going to be released, and to those with easter bunny issues. Seriously though, without any further proof that any progress is being made on the project other than the very old, albeit awesome, promos, I would guess that this is a dead issue. After all, these kinds of things take a LOAD of work and dedication to make happen; and I applaud them for getting as far as they did. But, I wouldn't hold my breath for anything more. Thanks for the promos guys! They were awesome while they lasted! Hope you can release something else cool sometime later in the decade! All my best for the most fantastic tribute to Eve ever made, I truely do hope you can top it some year! Peace.  |
