You're right. Miners do control the economy. They're also really bad at it... The day miners start raising prices is the day they will stop being bullied for being so crappy. |

Kenneth O'Hara wrote:@Galaxy Pig/James 315 are you bumping and possibly ganking non-afk miners (the potential is still there) and charging them for permits they don't need ? You know, the ones that are playing properly. Sorry, your website is not very clear on this part of the subject. If the answer is no, how do you determine that they are afk? Because they don't respond to private chats or talk in local? What if they just want to ignore you or not to be bothered with your silly game? I know when I first started playing, I didn't afk mine but I didn't talk to a soul either. Now when I mine, I still don't talk to a soul in game because I use this handy 3rd party program called teamspeak. Much faster communication than typing everything out. And I don't have to respond to annoying in game spammers or con artist that try and send a private chat. If they don't pay they have no guarantee their mining lasers will be in range of any targets. It doesn't matter if they're playing the "ignore game."
If they can't mine like they're trying to, that's kind of hard to ignore. He who trolls trolls best when he who is trolled trolls the troller. -Darth Gustav's Axiom |

You are being harassed because you guys won't take action. And this solution is perfectly fair. If these neckbearded Dbag bumpers have to pay 1 billion isk for a stabber, your voice will be heard. Use the leverage that you have. The community as a whole will turn against these idiots for their actions. But didn't you read their code? Miners are at the bottom of EVE's hierchy and we must accept that. Yeah BS. I hate bumpers, but I also acknowledge their right to be what they are. MIners ultimately control the economy. They need to use their power. Leave us the f**k alone or we keep raising prices. Easy. Enjoy being undercut by your bot-driven comrades-out-of-arms then. In theory the bumpers will bump bots so it'll be those at the keyboard who have the most sucess mining. Sorry, way more bots than bumpers.
Nice theorycraft though... He who trolls trolls best when he who is trolled trolls the troller. -Darth Gustav's Axiom |

How about if everytime someone in High Sec accepts a Mission, that fact and a coordinate bookmark are broadcast system wide for all to see, and invade and utterly disrupt and 'bump' the Missioning to the point the area and mission have to be abandoned.
Same with minimng.
You stop gameplay, you fundamentally kill the game.
You are working towards the REAL EVE endgame......shutting it down. |

if you've gotten so bored with a game that you decide to destroy other peoples experience, you should probably quit. requesting people to talk to you in local seems like a sad request for attention, if youre whole code is based on AFK mining is bad for the game, youre just a dense person with a robust vocabulary. Like the code said, people have kids, wives, and other obligation to attend too, just because some loser request that i have to speak in local, now i gotta carry my laptop to the bathroom while i take a **** just in-case i'm being beckoned? Bot mining is bad? how about bot ratting, i don't see no action taken against them, from neither side. this in no way is going to make someone a "better person" or improve the game. |

The new order improves people's experience, as you'd know if you'd ever been to one of their systems. When the agents log off, the miners complain that now mining will be boring.

Or you could do what everyone else in eve does when they need to afk--safe or dock up?

The current time frame is for all of highsec to be under the protection of the Supreme Protector in approximately 8 years. We are in this for the long haul.
