Originally by: Blacklight Just look under the station in Gehi for example, that damn spiral of cans has been there as long as I can remember serving no purpose whatsoever.
There are a few often camped 0.3-0.4's up in The Forge and Lonetrek that have clusters of cans to lag people out as they warp in.. very annoying.
Please CCP, clean up this mess!

What makes this so funny is that they want to take out instajump bookmarks to cut down on lag. Half the people in EVE are choked about that.
Everybody wants old cans gone and you hear nothing from CPP about it.

I personally would prefer a unanchor skill
using that skill should take 7D with each skill lvl cutting out 1D
when someone tries to unanchor a can the owner (corp or person) should get a eve mail that would give that person several days to pick up the can
in order to avoid can theft (where I unanchor a can just to have someone else grap it) the can would have to reanchor in the person unanchoring its name
Thank You Paw Sandberg

1. Let everyone shoot cans 2. Financial Penalty
1. By the time they finished implementing the patch, semi-rats would already have come in and popped mining cc's just for ****s and giggles. Don't even try to deny this'd happen. You can't ask CCP to program something complicated enough to sort that issue out. Well you could, but you'd be an arse.
2. Lets face it, EVE is incredibly unbalanced when it comes to finances. There are people who can't afford much and live off roid sweat and Quafe runs for weeks, and then there are the idle rich who waste their time making useless cans. I find a distinct pleasure in putting a maximum of 2, usually 1, cans with a happy message that I update regularly to insure relavence.
Until billboards come round , the most sensible thing to do is to allow the cans, but put a one week time limit on them. This may require a fair bit more memory on Eve's part, in terms of logging ejection times, but it will result in a faster and less lag-prone game. Le meglio ̃ l'inimico del bene |

I don't know, they don't bother me much, and some of the slogans / shapes that are designed are quite amusing!

Exactly, CCP once again not listening to the playerbase. I don't see where the problem lies. At least CCP could give some word on this issue. ===================================================

They are a tad annoying, I like to sneak around empire in my Helios runnin errands, but constantly decloak 15km from gates (Usually infront of a few hostiles) because someone left cans right at the Jump in piont. this is more annoying than any 'Spam' containers I see |

The ironic is, that CCP is tired about BM's but allow spamming form BookMarkKing e.g. at the highway round Yulai-Amarr without taking any action :(

CCP - the spamcontainers are still in game ?
Why don't reduce some significant lag when jumping with banning the old cans ?

Destroy them after a time limit or make players 'reanchor' them continually if they REALLY want to keep them there.

Allow players with the Hacking skill to by-pass the passwords and unanchor the cans.
Can-collecting... could be a nice little earner!

A bit late, but yeah remove them.
But for those corps who still want to advertise, make is possible: Corp ads on the billboards arround gates, with a mous hover feature so that you can read what the add says. Ofcource this would cost isk.

CCP should just remove all anchoredcontainers in 0.8 and above. I mena, you haven't been able to anchor new ones for a long time so why should the onld ones rmain there?

Have containers decay if they havent been visited in a month.
Granted, having to track thousands of containers timers would be an IMMENSE load on the servers.
I say, and lets get some peeps to agree
Have a Blast teh container day
All containers in all systems can be freely destroyed without sec status or concord reprecussions. Allow a week before for peeps to get their cans out. Then allow a free reign on all the rest.
