There is a reason why even on FPS games there is an option to turn off smoke effects.. These dust clouds/effects are literally smoke effects in space for eve. Smoke effects are physics driven/calculated so they will eat up any GPU. |

As far as I know CCP is aware of this, they removed all the clouds in the new hacking/arch sites, as well as the old ones, so I imagine its just a matter of time and going around to do them all.

Signed. My rig is by no means great but it can run the game easily at a 30-60 fps depending on how many ships are present on medium to low settings (Geforce 610M 2gb, i73630QM, 8gb ram; competent if not great for gaming) but the moment I find a cloud I'm in 10-15 fps at best even if I turn my settings to the absolute minimum. From what I have read far far better computers than mine have this problem. Bump this thread. I know CCP is aware of it but it doesn't hurt to keep reminding them. |

this is reported since at least 3 years ago, it was already a big issue for years when i joined in 2010.
CCP failed at removing them from anom, they removed em from MOST Hacking and Archaeology anoms, but not all, they still pop in some, and i don't even talk about combat anom / mission... 3+ years for this.....pathetic |
