Strange.. i managed to get from niyab to yulai in a hauler yesterday with no problems.
Instas + nanofibers for the win. Its really not hard to run a blockade in 0.4 :/ 90% is just some guy sniping in an apoc or so.

Bullying is cool, m'Kay?
In certain other MMO, being ganked by hilevel players so many times while trying to level, I was living only for the moment when I can do same to other newbies. Now I can do it, and I enjoy. Thank you. Please support me because I love to gank newbies. No seriously this isn't a troll _______________________________________________ My opinions aren't my corporations opinions.

I can travel through several areas of gate camping fools in my covert ops ship. I can bypass most gate camps with a little thought put into my navigation. What flyn is trying to get through and your not paying attention to. Is there are so many players that dont have that ability. and they are getting ticked off at this game, before they reach 500k skill points.
And if you look at DED discription that is thier job, but you only see them in their own systems.

what so many that have their heads shoved up their rears keep ignoring by choice is that agents DO send noobs into low sec space. If the noob is following the game play that CCP set up, and keeps getting griefed by lazy little gate camping griefers, that noob will quit, and CCP looses a subscriber.
A pattern of vet players assuming noobs are able to play the same as a vet keeps popping up in the forums also...

pst. You think the risk vs reward favours the gate ganker when he (in his 200m ship) ganks nubs? Get on average 200k worth of lewt per ship and risk getting ganked himself any second. Trust me, piracy is by far one of the least profitable businesses in eve.

We have to stop with these "oh my god there are ebil gankers at each gate in low sec" and "EVE is SOOOO unfair with rookies, they are getting ganked each time they undock because all pvpers are insane sadistic Counterstrike fans". Really. I live in low-sec 90% of my game time, for the last ... 8 months? and I've been "ganked" twice, once in a frig because I was asking for troubles, once in a cruiser at a gate because I've had bad luck and wasn't very aware. OK I'm not a trader, but as everyone I have to bring slow ships and industrials regularly, never had any problem (sure I scout and/or ask some friends for intel when necessary, but everybody is able to do that?)
So 1¦ your agressivity Flyyn is ridiculous, and 2¦ I don't even know what you are talking about...
ya, ignore the part that its about noobs, and you got a point, but include it as it was intended and your point is a joke...
my mains live in 0.0 space but when I do visit empire, I see that gate camping griefers each time, shooting noobs, not even bothing to pick up the loot because the travel just isn't worth the low end crap noobs have.
if the griefers want to be pirates, then they need to grow a pair and move thier butts to 0.0 space where the rewards are, not in empire where it is just a practice of ruining the game for others just to get a giggle (classic griefer play)

I also think that the SCC should begin *****ing down on empire profiteering. Lets have them sieze tech2 BPOs and produce all tech2 goods at double NPC base price.

Whew at least this isn't a missile whine thread, that was my assumption when I saw the title.
But yeah if this happens then I think NPC rats should randomly hijack a minimum of 10% of a haulers cargo every few jumps. I mean it makes sense right...

Maybe you should look at who your claiming cant adapt? I nowhere in this post said I was a target from a griefer, I have on several occasions been accused of griefing for my choice of play style.
But I do not sit at gates in low sec space waiting for a newbie or other mission running player, to be forced (yes forced) by their agent to go through a low sec zone.
DED is the long arm of the law right? Their job is to hunt down the bad guys right? So why cant they patrol low sec space? Not a constant pressence in a system just randomly move around. Gives better RISK VS REWARD
No anti pirate group is going to go from 0.0 to low security at 30 + jumps. Aint worth their time.
The inhabitants of Empire are either not capable of busting these camps are choose not to. So CCP should direct DED to do their jobs as they have done in the past.
m0o blocked travel and CCP sent in a swat team.

How can it be makeing all empire safe by having a random patrol spawn at random times in a system?

I'm relatively new in this game (playing for about 4 months now), but had no trouble starting. The first month or two I stayed in 0.5+ systems, cause I knew it would be dangerous to go in lower sec systems. Also I joined a player owned corp instead of the NPC corp you start in. They helped me with advice and financial support. And yes I got shot by a sniper at a gate a couple of times, but that was in lower sec space and I knew the risk.
All I'm trying to say is as a newb if you do a bit of reading and join a player corp you can survive without much problems.

That was before this patch right? Now newbies on their first traing mission are being sent to low security space. Older players with alot of loyalty points at stake are being sent through low security space.
And before sombody says you can go around them..
Last night I for grins and giggles set the auto pilot to avoid pod kill zones, perfer safer route, and the 29 jump course went to one where it said destination unreachable.

No thanks.
All major regions are connected by high-sec systems. If you cant make a rooute then you just can`t use the map.
BTW Gate campe have a certain level of risk and newbie`s haulers dont bring too much reward too

HAVE YOU READ THE PATCH NOTES MY FRIENDLY MINING FRIEND?
Quote: Some of the storyline mission sequences received straight after the tutorial were broken due to the NWO jump changes. They have been fixed so that they don't require you to jump through a ridiculous amount of systems.
Oh, so does that mean that newbs aren't being forced to go through low-sec space? Well, the missions my new alt has been doing to test this show's they don't. So please, do some research before making stupid posts.
Next up - how would roaming patrol's of DED forces make empire totally safe? You are suggestting making concord roam around low sec space, killing anyone with low sec status or who have recently agressed, right? That would easily achieve securing empire space, as pirating would then be almost certain death to concord.
Now, do you agree to only make intelligent posts from this time on? Thanks. --------

..it seems to me that there's a little bit of a problem with newbie players (or anyone with less than 1m skill points, right?) finding their way into low sec space with the autopilot while doing missions from the storyline agents, correct?
Adding any kind of police force into low sec space isn't going to solve that problem. It's going to solve one of the symptoms. That's it. And anyone with any knowledge of medicine knows that you don't cure something by treating its symptoms. That concept applies to any and all problems, be them medical or otherwise.
A cure for this problem would be some kind of skill point (or something else, maybe time played or something) requirement to even be able to speak with an agent to get a mission from them. Like 500k for a trip into one or two low sec areas. Or some other such thing that keeps relatively new characters from going there because they were told to, but not being prepared. Now, if they go there of their own volition, well, that's their problem. ---------- I'm not going to protect you from your own stupidity. I'm a space pirate, not your mother. |

What can you say? This is the same old same old 90% of the player base stays in empire space despite the dev's best effort to bait the majority of the player base to be Slaughtered by 10% of the player base (PVPÆERS). When will eve learn that you canÆt change human nature to strive to be safe? Even in a game.
IT CALLED SURVIVAL. STOP CATERING TO THE MINORITY UNLESS YOU WANT THIS GAME TO GO IN THE DIRECTION OF ENB. ThatÆs right you still have ppl in your player base that watched a fantastic game go down the tubes with the helping hand of EA and donÆt want to see it happen here. For the most part we are quit and donÆt spam the forums, but we are still here just the same. Please donÆt overlook us or discount our numbers.
Cutting up the space into pirate-controlled territories is a bad idea. Putting guns and patrols in the major chock points will add some risk to the daily campers of free loot. ThatÆs right, as pirate know its ez pickings. They want more lambs coming to them. So the risk is even less. Try playing the game instead of camping.
You have a very very good game here Please look were the majority of your player base is and cater to them not the minority.
