The Devs swear they play the game, but what kinds of players are they? They're secretive about it... conspiratorially secretive.
My theories on who the devs are in their alteregos:
1. Mining carebears. In some remote station in high-sec empire is a tech 2 large mining barge with 4 Jovian stripminers.
2. Ganksquads. Battleship fleets suddenly appearing near people who complain too much on the forums.
3. Illusive 0.0 Industrialists. Building an Outpost so far out in 0.0 that no player will ever find them.
Any other theories?

Figure out how to make NPC's harder to kill while being less profitable, while nerfing missiles, turning battleships into ice cream trucks, providing ganking spots in empire near the marketing centers in an attempt to force me into PVP, while simultaneously destroying the economy, adding ships that will take 6 months to appear because of their incredible cost which will lend itself to making the rich corp. richer so they can take over the universe.

Considering how the game is built, patched, etc...
I'd say most are PvP'ers.
Pirates, Alliance folk, etc...
Not too many of them must be miners, cause they only throw miners bones once in a while, while they throw PvP'ers T-Bone stakes with all the fixins every patch, etc...

i doubt they play much, if you do something for eight hours a day, its probably the last thing you want to do when you get home.

Miners shouldn't worry about bones, they should work to supply us pvpers with fresh victims and ships!

They Ore Thief and Grief other players in secure space.
Just look at the current system for mining, the crappy can system, the stupid concord protection of thiefs and grifers, and the lack of ideas on the dev's part to fix any of it.

They are blowing people up on a regular basis. Looking at the games progression from beta up to the present I have absolutely no doubt about it. Add that to the fact that they created a pvp centric game in the first place, and the answer to that question is obvious.

You buy a second Account for PvE... Mining etc.. just so get money... put the money of that Acc on your PvP Account... get him +4 full implant set...
You join a elite PvP Corp... don't wanna call names...
*eyes role* lets say... C. Apocalypse.. you play in that corp with your PvP Account about 6 hours every day... and make fun of people that try to make money in ANY way with their PvP Charakter so you log out at the same time then all other people.. to directly log back on with your PvE Account to farm money for the rest of the day.

let me put it this way the corps that do the best in Eve pvp and economically have at least 1 to 2 Aurora or content Devs in them. The thing that sucks mondo donkey dong is that if a Dev or Aurora member is found out by another ig player he gets banned and kicked from being a Dev. Plus Devs have to be on a minimum of 8 hours a day.

Having a dev in corp would definately be interesting.

they dont use missiles
they dont fly frigates
