Gonna make people think twice now before they log off in what they consider their safe haven... :s

Sounds like good use of infiltration to me. Cant see it as any more lame than barefaced destruction of the ship.
In short, whats so lame? __
There, i just contributed nothing to your thread

what is amusing is that FA's first reaction was "ZOMG EXPLOITZ!!11one" which is basically the default reaction of every newb since Starcraft.
Not that anybody is shocked that FA are newbs, whole eve community knew that, it is just funny if you remember the incident when bob shot up bunch of ships in Fountain and FA council decided they won't fight back. All those "pvpers" yapping about how they wanted blood and all that, and where are they now? Looks like whoever decided not to fight back then knew what material his alliance was made of.

PvP skill?
With that comment, larno, it is obvious you don't know that that is.
Enlighten me.

This is PvP. Hell, strip mining a belt is PvP, because you're competing against other miners to sell your goods.
Only 1% of PvP actually involves guns. The rest is hunting, spying, sabotage, and propaganda.
You know what I meant smartass.

Since you mentioned some faction names the thread has been moved here. Just for the record, CCP have no problem with alt characters being used to infiltrate, spy, steal, haul or even sit 200km above a gate, they are all valid game tactics.
To everyone else, especially those getting over-excited, please keep your comments respectful, friendly and troll free.

its about time pos access got tighter, last time i checked it was possible for your next door neighbours dog to offline a pos by p*****g on the nearest lamppost
if it has changed then a withdraw this post, if not then ccp must accept some blame. when i went to cape in the us i'm fairly sure they didnt let me have access to launch the shuttle, even tho i could get inside the area....

The only lame tactic in this game is logging in combat.. this tactic is BRILLIANT as someone just mentioned.
Can anyone say Trojan Horse!! If you'r dumb enough to let it in your fortress then don't be surprised when the enemy gets in.
Takes 1 spy to change access to your POS to let his guys in to change everything else.
Spy flies around changing access while the corp he's working for goes in and takes over the POS and claims soveriengty. this could work well for taking over stations as well. as they would no longer be invulnerable and if cost the invading corp/alliance 0 isk to do it. In the face of adversity comes the true colours of a man. |

WHY THE HELL ARE ALL YOU PEOPLE LAUGHING?
Corporation theft is wrong and undermines the game entirely! I bet if more and more pilots started stealing from their corporations, you would get alot of people who put hours and hours into gathering wealth quit eve online all together! Corp theft just ruins the reputation of the pilot if caught too.

This was espionage. It is a valid war tactic.
Get over it, get even, quit, but ffs, stop whining.

What the??? Can't do right for doing wrong it seems.
Last week, BoB pilots bravely took 2 POS into reenforced mode, forcing a fleet battle (which they won) and the eventual dismantling of both POS's in a system, and then got called losers for not taking the POS's
This week, BoB take the POS and get called losers for taking the POS.
Talk about a tough crowd

Eve would be much more popular if CCP banned corp theft, scamming and the like. I can safely say the number of players who have quit because of scamming and corp theft is greater than the number that would not play the game if there was no scamming and corp theft.
Of course the thread starter was stupid to have given out POS access so freely. Was this tactic clever? Yes. Effective? Yes Dishonourable? Imo yes.

I would say most corporation thefts are simply the lack of security. Keep access and roles to everything valuable only to people you know you can trust for sure, and this sort of thing will never happen. Most members doesn't need access to most hangars or, as the case where here, access to POS'es. More veteran members of the corps can handle this for them, it's an extra step compared to just giving them direct access, sure, but even RL corps and organizations have to go through this for them to achive something called "security"

Originally by: quellious Hi,
I really don't post often in here, but i was really ashamed by a lame tactic consisting in : - Making an alt spy going in another corporation - Having this alt getting POS access, then making him turning the POS offline, allowing you fleet to rob all BS/Ship/Modules - Even worse, placing a new POS at the same place, in order to kill any pilot that logged off at POS, when he log in.
Before, i had quite a sort of repect for nive PvP tactic, and ability to use ships correctly. Now i have no respect anymore for all BoB players. This include : Evol , Rkk, ...
If ever EvE community could blame such lame behavior ...
Ciao
Quellious - Colsup - FA.
Note : You can consider this post as my own or corp or alliance point of view, i don't really mind. I'm just only concerned by such stupid acts.
Moved from EVE General Discussion -zhuge
lol, what stupid ass gives a new person in corp POS anchor rights? Then you ask for it!

However no blame can be layed at the feet of BoB. They are just living up to expectations....
THIS IS A CCP FAULT as the POS access rights STINK!

In the first year or so of eve Corp theft was considered about the worst crime you could commit in eve. To me morally its something i would never even consider doing.
The terroist factions of eve seem to now consider that its valid and useful tactic. To them i would say i really hope it doesnt happen to you. No matter how good you think you think your security is it can and will happen. All you can do is make it hard to accomplish. Personally i think eve would be a much happier place if the leaders of every major organisation looked down on it apparently this isnt so.
But heaven help you if you logged out in a combat, dont want to fight them, want to mine or run mission. Somewhere along the lines there seems to have been a loss of perspective about what really matters. Destoying others enjoyment now seems to be the major goal of certain parts of the player base and heaven help you if you deem to act outside their rules.
They who shout the loudest normally have the least to say. |

skills which is negated by a pos, problem solved. No one said to give access to anyone. It's got to be one of the most brilliant tactics ever in eve.

I think corp theft is still frowned upon, however in year 2 the lines are blurred, perhaps BOB have justification for there actions, and as everyone else says...its war
