No. EVE without PVP would be pointless. 99% of this game is player interaction

I'd rather point out that its a retarded question.
1) Who would buy all the mod's that are centred around PvP?
2) What recourse would there be against the people who find ways to "grief"? (omg he stole my ore and now my guns wont activate on him)

There is no such thing as a simple yes/no question, but if you really want my thoughts about this to be compressed into the very non-informative format of yes or no, my answer would be mostly no in this case.

Not just no, but 'ell no.
The thrill of the chase is what makes this game so addictive. You actually have something to lose, your time and effort, which makes it all mean so much more.

Erm, one of the reasons I play EVE is because it has one large server and not 60 small ones like WoW. Its called an MMO for a reason! In my little world (aka my head) an MMO is where players play together on ONE frecking server! Not goddam 60, thats just to much, Why the hell dosn't WoW upgrade their servers and make the universe bigger to support it all on one server?
Anyway, no. One server. Besides, if all the carebearers moved over to that server, what fun would PvP be?

One of the reasons i like Eve so much is just because its ONE server, where all the pirates, miners, carebears etc lives. And without PVP, there is no Eve.

They're wrong because they don't see it your way? Well you don't see it my way either, therefore you must completely wrong in your thinking according to the above statement (that you made).

Eve is all about PvP. You dont ever have to fire a gun to participate in it and be competitive either.

No.
I mean think about it - what would you do? Mine in ibises until you can afford a bantam bpo, then get the mins for it, then sell those at some ludicrous price like 100k until somebody else gets one (OMG I'm a millionare!!!!) and then mine in bantams until someone gets an osprey bpo, then you might actually get somewhere. Whoever makes 1 billion with their little fleet of ospreys first wins and gets a battleship bpo... fast foward a year later and everybody is in battleships and chaining 10/10 complexes and not really worrying about it because they have 1 bil in the bank each and probably won't lose it anyways. Then everybody gets bored and cancels their acounts.
Ok. Not quite like that. But pvp is a major isk sink.

As a 0.0 industrialist (call me a scarebear), i'd say no. How boring would space be if there was no chance to get your ship from under you? What would happen to the economy if people only mined and npc-ed? Furthermore, what would be the incentive to actually work to something, it's not like anyone is going to mine for dreads if they cannot be used? No PvP would make EVE just into EVErgrind. Really no fun, since all you can do is get more and more isk, and better items and use them to smack up mindless NPCs. If I wanted such a thing i wouldn't play EVE.

No.
No PVP = market would crash.
No Market = No stuff.
Only income source = NPCing/Missions/NPC Trading.
Dull, pointless. EVE Without the economy, without the politics... --------

im 90% npc hunter and there are lots of times i hate that a pirate is blocking my path. i barley pvp
but no.. that would be sucking the fun and adventure out of the game...
I mean you could make it so pvp is impossible in 0.5+ between non waring corps.. that would be awsome but, otherwise.. not a chance. the market would TOTALY fubar since no one would lose ships.
0.0 systmes would be full all day with people hogging complexes and everything..
just NO!
