Due to a number of factors, including issues with Singularity, some missing critical fixes and insufficient testing, the patch scheduled for deployment on Tuesday, 23 August has been pushed back a week to Tuesday, 30 August.
Patch Notes will be posted this afternoon and will be updated throughout the week with more fixes and changes.
We apologize for the deployment delay, but we feel it is better to have a stable patch than to rush a patch to the server with the potential of introducing more issues and bugs.

I for one appreciate that you delay it rather than hastily deploy a makeshift code to TQ - no need to apologize if you ask me

Kieron,
Are there any plans to put forth, for lack of a better term, a Dreadnaught for Dummies set of notes? There are so many unanswered questions about these ships and it seems the only way to find out anything about them is to fly them and see if they get blown up. That's one hell of a risk with a 3-5 billion ISK ship. I've read everything I can find on the forums and I still am unclear as to things like how much fuel do they use or exactly how do the skills affect the ship.
Surely the QA team did a lot of practical testing that would allow them to inform us of some of these things? I'm sure they have already tried and taken down a well defended POS to see how well the ships function, yes? Or are we relegated to stumbling around to discover the ins and outs ourselves? Heck, even a new car comes with a manual, ya know? -
We're outnumbered! That simplifies the problem! |

Does this mean your now going have time to fix all the gang assist module bugs so we can start using them? _________________________________________________ Nominate famous people in Eve who had an impact on you. |

Gargh.Same old excuse every time.Maybe it should be delayed instead of rushed, but who's fault is that? CCP program the game, and the only reason it's gets delayed is because THEY screwed up the code, so they should most certainly be aplogising for it. Patch Notes are now available. They will be updated over the coming week as additions and fixes are made. These changes will be in the proper sections in italics. This is not a complete list by any means.
Some items in the list may be hotfixed before the deployment. Hotfixed items will be notated in the same fashion as additions.

Kieron is it possible that we will see a public tracker similar to one at sourceforge in the future to augment the patch notes section? So we can avoid spamming the BH with small stuff such as typos and also repeat bug reports?

Sweeeeeet, a "no mods" forum day \o/
"Extended warp options have been added to the "warp gang" and "warp to member" menus."
yummm.
"Tacklers" or players who use offensive, but non-damage generating modules (EW, warp scramblers/webbers, etc.) are now listed in killmails."

Edited by: Tigsen on 20/08/2005 01:19:10 Don't suppose the refining at stations can be fixed in this patch so that they take standing into account again. Seems like a lot of them take 5% no matter what, most likely the ones that had refining added to them last big patch.
Other than that, Great job on the changes and additions, can't wait to try them out.

Gald you moved the patch date since it was not totaly ready to go. No problem from my point of view.
I have taken the day off for the last 4 patches....think I will go to work for this one. I am in south / west USA so when I get home from work the log on problems should be fixed by then. LOL

"Return to Drone Bay" - Finally
"New types, groups and graphics have been added for TL2 destroyers, battlecruisers and battleships."
So as of Aug 30, we'll see what ships are coming in Kali? Sweet.
My Caty needed some love, and it looks like it may get it. Destroyers able to take out 2-3 AF/Intys would be great. WOW! Lots of wonderful information in those patch notes. I am really, really, really looking forward to these effects taking place. My only wish is that more things were going to be done for miners but I believe they're going to be addressed in a later update?
Who knows, maybe Kali will be an all Industry/Miner patch!!!!

I find it curious that there's a listing of the succubus' bonus being fixed...but none about the backwards flight??
Return to Drone Bay FTW!!!!
Drones, sentry guns and NPCs will now actively target attackers of similar entities. For example, drones and NPCs will engage a target that is attacking their owning entity or 'gang members', sentry guns will engage targets attacking other guns or items within their protection, etc.
Okay...just what does this mean? Don't NPCs do this already? Or is this more applicable to player-drones and player SGs? Does this mean 1 ship tanking and 1 ship shooting up NPCs is less viable?
Sentry guns in deadspace will no longer hit targets outside of their maximum range. If the attacker comes within range, the gun will respond.
Well Thank God. Will this apply to "The Sansha's Spies"? The dual Sentry Guns in that are just killer for Punishers.
It is possible to repackage items remotely via the Assets interface. Can you un-stack remotely, too? -==- Holy-Jim> as you know, surprise is the key to victory.....surprise! LooseCannoN> ahh! LooseCannoN> my plans have been foiled! |

Little confused here. Does that mean that you've decided all the roles for the upcoming T2 BSes, BCs and Destroyers? I thought there was still some internal debate over this? And we won't see BPs till Kali, correct? The stats on these are subject to change? -------------- What good are actions if there's no one to tell the tale afterward?
