how do u know that those 20 ppl are not actualy "working" in the strip club? Guess this could become one of these new "mini professions" that ccp promised.
Anyways congrats ASCN.

Good jobs guys. Way to set a standard. ------ I generally assume the following: 1. 95% of Empire Carebears don't get 0.0 PVPers. 2. 95% of 0.0 PVPers don't get Empire Carebears. 3. 100% of Ore Thieves steal just to upset the Miners. |

No amount of kills on the famous killboard can outweight the failure of the MC to stop this operation or at least to inflict heavy losses on the freighter/hauler fleet.

With all the cries of how MC should have interrupted this, why?
Surely it benefits all to actually have an outposts constructed. They take a different approach to claim them but overall it doesn't make sense to knock off the goose laying the golden egg. Easier (in a broad sense :) ) to knock off a couple of POS's then to drag out all those materials and organise it all.

please don't flame it. The thread is just to show that we putted up an outpost (the first outpost in EVE afaik), not to comment about who failed what. -------------------

It is not a flame, but as it is a discussion forum. Posting my opinion here. And there's no denying the fact that ASCN managed this feat while having the MC contract active. This is an important a feature of the story of the first EVE outpost.

That depends if the Haulers and Freighters were piloted by members of ACSN (the IGA) and not alot of hang arounds.
I think that we never will discover the truth about that.

To be completely fair to MC there wasn't a lot they could have done. We can outblob them by a pretty big margin and its not like the outpost came down piece by piece in afk haulers with no stabs. The outpost was going up and thats all there was to it ;)
Huge props to the MC pilots who came down last night. I was half asleep gurading the thing for 8 hours and then 6 or 7 red stars jumped in on top of us You caught most of us by surprise and we were lucky not to lose a BS. it made an already good night more exciting and I hope you guys had fun too.

Is that true ? Did they use their alt corp or contracted another outfit for hauling ?
Plot thickens.

Edited by: Cinnander on 20/08/2005 23:07:21 FWIW I beleive the freighters were piloted by IGA pilots (at least one the run I was with), although we had non-IGA alliance "members" helping for sure... It's not really relevant as MC could have intercepted us in 0.0 anyway so =P

Edited by: Coasterbrian on 20/08/2005 23:15:48 For the record, we moved 5 freighter loads of goods down, spread over 3 freighters. 2 freighters were piloted by CLS members, the other was piloted by a CORM member. Just to head off the rumors. :)

Oh, and alts suck.
For the record, nobody in the MC could be arsed to login at 5am en-masse and try to mount an offensive maneuver 40+ jumps away. Not only that, but it's blatantly obvious that no matter what kind of fleet we could have put up, we would have been blobbed 6x over.
To the alts and the chest-beaters: give it a rest... ASCN made history and everyone is happy for it. Don't taint the entire thing by getting in your childish jabs, ok?
