Is there still to be an attempt to bring EVE to the Korean and Chinese player bases? I think it could only help the game...
Why?
Because with 2 years of expierence past that of what the Asian markets would be joining in on we would at least stand a chance of keeping them in check and not walking all over the game... power would be shaken up, new alliances and strange new wars...
and perhaps us western gamers will finally get revenge for Starcraft.

Id have to admit i would go out of my way to find asian powergamers in 0.0, pod them and drop the corpses in the sun of Yulai... the whole time laughing with distrubing glee.

personally I think that when the azn market opens up you can expect the price of minerals to depritiate exponentially.

Yeah and the people that empire mine and need the isk to buy their next big ticket item are going to have a lot harder time, (atleast in theory). lets just hope that things stay moderatly how they are now. Hopefully the economy will stay normal.

how come when everything thinks of asian..... they are farmers, ffs I've been playing eve for almost a year and I'm chinese, and every single game I play I'll hear, omg he's chinese he gotta be a farmer, listen... get your arse to ebay and go check on the eve auction... asian dun hold the market.... apprantly there are more european seller then asians. 
And also, if you guys read ccp's log, they DID a promotion in china recently in a game show. They are working on it

Because large scale advertisement attracts both chinese gamers and the (For some real mostly asia based) sweatshop owners or whatever theyre called.
I'm sure theres more European and American sellers on ebay then there are Asian, Im sure theres asian auction website too though

They would need their own server because they would ruin the fun for us.
I guess its a cultural thing but a good many asians take MMORPs way more serious than westerners. Theres nothing wrong with that - its just not fun for the more casual players.

I'm sure you're fine Cagali and many others. But just looking at mostly Asian games like Lineage and Rose, you can see just how many Asian gamers are totally different to Western gamers. They just wouldn't suit Eve.

There is nothing wrong with asian gamers. Stop thinking that we are "better" or even "different" from them just because they have funky characters and we don't.
We have a serious lack of Chinese and Japanese here.

Trust me, I have been theiving from some very intense chinesse macro'ers near Rens for ages, I welcome more so called "farmers", no-matter where they are from, I am making a pile from farming them..
Mind u, 20 accounts all running similar names is a bit excessive and obvious... but hey, the world turns, I get more free ore.

That isn't macroing, its farming. Most "macro miners" aren't. But IMO farming should be against the EULA too

That isn't macroing, its farming. Most "macro miners" aren't. But IMO farming should be against the EULA too
Fair point, although is quite funny to see every one of them log off instantly at the same time once I have stolen 50mill of ore off them...
Anyway, back on topic.. I welcome all players of all races and creeds ... it doesnt matter at the end of the day... But 1 thing to remember that alot of so called "intense" "leveling" players will not come to eve as it is not really like that kind of game as WoW etc.

They dont hold the market now. But just take a look at market share vs player base, and you will already see a gross misrepresentation here.
But whats more important to me is the language barrier. Please do not introduce localized Asian versions for the same EvE universe. Right now I can contact 90% of all players and get a sensible English response.
It certainly ruined gameplay for me when back in lineage2 beta so many Chinese people could not understand what I was saying.

Why do people think that all asians are farmers? Farming is unrelated to nationality, and farming is all done as business, not individually. The farmers are here regardless. How about we get the skilled, intellegent players that are in China and Japan, and increase EVE's diversity?

Not all asians are farmers, but a lot are. We shal see what happens, hopefully because eve is not as mainstream as WoW we should sidestep most of those problems anyway.

Eve is eve because of the player community. If we were to change that we'd probably have on our hands another game like WoW and tbh nobody should ever wish for that.
I'd hate to see local chat filled with "reported and report him"s after a guy told someone to shut up ;)

run em all on the one server heck - farmers are all over - ukraine, south america, some asia but they still represent a small faction - and CCP can take a hard line on it and also make marcos less usable by ingame dynamics.
Boosting the advertising of eve in the austrlian - new zealand market is much needed. Asian players will be most welcome in eve - once we past 100,000 players the prospect of having jove involvement and opening up is i think the next move. Another what 1500 systems to play in.
