Reportedly, 8 battleships were outside the m5 station in MN5N-X, so a lot of the force that was camping warped there. Unfortunately, the jump gate landed me and a corpmate right in the middle of their force, he lost his bship and I was able to dock once they all started targeting me. Thank jove for insurance. Anyway... I had to log then because my grandmother walked through the doorway, so I can't confirm anything else for several hours now.

We just had a large encounter, however 40+ ships and 150+ drones rendered the game useless and people docked leaving losses at a minimum.
More information will follow, I'm sure.

Fountain Alliance
1 Battleship
7 Cruisers
Fountain Resistance
3 Battleships
20 Cruisers
Maybe the organization of the Alliance will be the deciding factor in this war.

Though thinking about it, it really shows you how little thought and attention was given to mass battles.
The game lends itself to large fleet engagments but it slows down so badly all you can do it slap some targets on and just flick all your weapons on, totally skill-less and basicly no fun at all as all you see is a slideshow.
It really makes me want to go back to DAOC tbh

There was a big battle at the Moon5 station in MN5N-X.
Alliance force were slightly outnumbered and retreated in station. Thier mistake was that they tried to flee later, the result of it is shown by the following two pictures:

I am not aware of Cornexant being involved in any sort of 'fountain alliance' and if we were I don't think we would pay other corps to hold it for us. That said I am just a peon in Cornexant. :)
Nice to see some kind words from other corps that have had dealings with us.

The alliance is Cutting Edge, Evolution and others (not certain who else, really)
The resistance is a large number of other corps, the only member I of which I can really confirm is Homeworld Technologies.

Still I bet you got a giant stiffy of that view but to me, a battleship isnt something to cry over.

The 20 cruisers counted by the Fountain Axis (EVOL, XAN, OEC) were mostly miners and NPC killers that were killed, often without warning.
The first mark of hostility in the area was when my battleship was shot at by 3 battleships and 1 or 2 cruisers from EVOL.
I received no prior warning, no communcation while being shot at and had to specifically ask EVOL what exactly their problem was.
Kudos to them they did allow me to undock and repair, meanwhile they had me targeted.
They targeted, shot at and shot down several other players who had no idea of what was going on.
Counting those victims in their statistics is fair enough.. wars and statistics are the worst liars around.
In the battle at the station the alliance forces lost 3 cruisers and 1 battleship, one was killed by friendly fire. A far cry from 20 cruisers

well if they came to claim your turf, it would be stupid of them to give you an advanced warning and give you time to prepare

Kusari Systems has been based in the Fountain/Aridia regions ever since the beta and I dont like the thought of an alliance claiming it for themselves good intentions or bad.
If this alliances intentions are to close or regulate the fountain region I can say that another 26 cruisers would be helping to keep it open. (By alliance I mean the corps trying to close down the fountain region). But I am unsure of our position on this matter so contact my CEO Mallus Kulov

well that battle was the most fun i have had in EVE so far even though the lag was very bad, but that can be expected with close to 60 ships in one area.
As for the ships killed on each side, well that is anyones guess.
PS Leave fountain alone

This was crazy, JUST BLOODY CRAZY, it was the best few minutes I have played in Eve.
I fought against Evol and pals and I have to say after few hours of stand off it was a good fight, not really a fair one I think since we had the eliment of surprice when warping in on the station for the kill. It was fun guys and I am pretty sure there will be alot of PvP in fountain now  since you will most likely not give up on your mission.
This has made the game alot more interesting, not to mention all the stress during those huge battles, beats mining and hunting npc rats thats for sure

The Free Fountain Confederation did indeed have a victory over the would be formers of the "Fountain Alliance". The war is probably far from over, but the members of the FFC wish to keep the Fountain region open to all peaceful pilots.
Every day that we can keep them from controlling the region is another victory.
