Why in the world do you believe you are qualified to call anyone that works for CCP into question on a DDoS attack?
If you ever worked as a network admin, and ever sustained a serious DDoS attack, you would not have dare say this, specially in the way you have.
If you do not understand what you are talking about, can you please not go out of your way to try and insult people who have been working hard, over the weekend, in an attempt to bring the servers back up in a way that would negate the current DDoS attack that is being waged against them? |

With the advancements in Metroclusters and Netapp similar technology I would of thought CCP would of been able to enable full replication across multiple sites so that in the eventuality of a loss of service be it DOS or other, then the service remains up be failing over to a different geographical site and IP. Granted the major problem wouldnt be the hardware it sits on but more the physical infrstructure throughput to be able to handle it, but advancement in cloud based services prove that its possible to do.
I like the fact that the updates were frequent, I designed a Process around service loss in the health industry where loss of a service means ultimately people die, it carries a similar weight I would of thought as people paying for a service and not recieving it.

Everybody should use the downtime of EVE Online to think about installing anti virus software and do a full scan instead of complaining about the situation. DDOS would not work as good as it does if everybody would use a good anti virus software...
