I don't think Polaris members should be allowed to join any other corp. than "Polaris".

Halo,
TTI can get out of this easily by saying "It was all roleplay".
For a so-called big corp. they're pretty dumb.
Roping poor Jade into it was a smart move...for about 2 days.

Yupp, they certainly can Joshua, but it kinda goes against their whole roleplaying status as plastered all over their webs(h)ite, whats the point in RPing if you go against the structure you define clearly as roleplaying...
Really think TTi have missed the boat on this occasion, don't think much at all of them now..

Edited by: Razin on 06/08/2003 20:22:49 Is there a way to move the "current location" info from the left-top corner to the right-top corner of the screen in the current game?
Cause the screenshot has that info in the right-top corner.
Was this the way it was in the beta?

Yup. It's a doctored screenshot that was used as part of a STORY that was created for entertainment and nothing else. Nothing more.
Note that it is a subdirectory of http://www.taggarttransdimensional.com/fiction/, which is solely a storytelling/roleplay/entertainment section of TTI's site, not a PR section. ---------------- Blue Screen of Death CEO Exodus Enterprises |

Roleplaying about specific items which don't appear in the game yet seems.....awfully stupid.

I don't believe it is real. I believe TTI were trying to roleplay being something other than a boring grey-suited isk-hungry corp. who are in the game for domination rather the pure gaming pleasure.
They failed miserably and should go back to the drawing board (but not to produce any more lame doctored screenshots).

It is real u fools.
This is what happened :-
Someone logged on there character and instead of a basic miner in their hangar there was this....
believe it or not... it is 100% truth.
They kept it secret OF course.... they had nothing else in the game... they sold it.. and now it has come out into the open.
No-one has cheated or xploited.

If you look in the other thread about this topic, I posted the full URL of the screenshot, and you will notice it is in the FICTION area of TTI's website. Its a cleverly edited screenshot which is at least partially from beta. Someone has a copy of photoshop and too much time on their hands.

Very interesting.
I like the way the "News" screen is scrolled down to make the casual player believe it was around in June too.
Further enhanced by the icon of the module itself which doesn't have the new "funky" transparent background introduced in the last patch.

if you gave me a photo of you, I could put your face in the game, name the item "Shuttle of Retards" put it in, modify some of the stats, and then upload it, and I can say "look at this item! I am your god"
it has your photo, to prove it's not real, BUT, the rest looks 100% real. Now, how can I do that? put 10 minutes into photoshop.
Look at these guys signature pics. If they can do that, dont you think they could do that with some copy-paste graphics EASILY?

if you look at the image i posted you will see its before the last patch... i think.. i don't know.
http://www.lyndalou.btinternet.co.uk/nebilung.jpg
Your all arguing about it being fake and its just a matter of time b4 ccp says that is true.
I bet CCP are working there arse of tracing this back to the original person... maybe for 300mil someone would tell ;)
I personally think that it should not be taken off the current owner.
If it wasn't a bug that caused it, CCP put it there in the hangar for a laugh to see what would happen... either way - NO player is to blame.

What if it is true? I mean who is to say they didn't obtain it legally (the way the story says). An item actually intended to be ingame through the actions of a dev/gm. If that is the case what would be peoples reactions?
And no matter what people say I can't believe it's a fake picture. It looks for all things real to me and why make something like this up and post iti so grandly? Even TTI must have forseen this and the hell that would follow when proven to be falsh. That would make them fools, and from how well they do ingame no one can rightly call them fools, like them or not, greedy yes, morally corrupt yes, but fools... no. |

Yup..
Having a 0% transparent parent image of the Info Screen makes me believe even more strongly that they used a simple layer/opacity trick to apply it to a current screenshot.
Here's an example of how I can fake it - I know the GUI colours dont match but I couldn't be arsed to make mine match the TTI one and I didn't have time to get the opacity/fill levels exact.
