Players would be limited to 200 items and 10 ships with a single-station limit of 3 ships and 50 items.
PvP would become completely consensual. Players who didn't want to engage in PvP would turn off their flag and fly around in 0.0, unattackable.
Ships and items would "degrade" over time - eventually becoming unusable and forcing their replacement. To "balance" this, ships could never really be destroyed unless it's by degradation. They are just "defeated" and returned to the hangar with a little more wear and tear.
Strict price controls would be put into place. A player could sell Tritanium for 1.50 to 1.70, but that's it. There would be an NPC merchant in every station who would buy any quantity for the low price and sell an infinite amount for the high price.
EVE-radio would be given a cease-and-desist order for using the EVE name and commenting on EVE events. The EVE-radio corporation would be disbanded in game and all characters with the letters "DJ" in their names would be forced to remove them.
An "auto-shuttle" service would be put into place between every station. Select a destination, pay an amount calculated based on range, and you are instantly teleported to the solar system of your choice.
The forums would require an account to view and all threads where were critical of aspects of the game or SOE would be locked.
The game would be split into European, American east coast, and American west coast shards. To make this possible, the least-populated 50% of all EVE solar systems would be removed from the game.
Skill training becomes race specific, (only Caldari can learn missiles, only Amaar can learn beam weapons, etc), and class specific, (only the "fighter" class can learn gunnery, only the "miner" class can learn mining). The time to train skills is cut in half, but it is made so skills only train while you are logged in. If you are inactive for more than 30 minutes, you are logged out.
Completely separate from skills, the idea of "level" is implemented. Levels are earned over time by gaining experience points. A level will determine what kind of ships and equipment you can use. For example, only a level 20 Caldari fighter can fly a Raven. Experience is gained by killing rats and mining.
The universe is "flattened." Ships, planets, asteroid belts, gates, and stations all rest on the same 2D plane. Motion is restricted to 2-axles. The empty space between bodies in a solar system removed, making it so ships can only fly to places of interest. All bookmarks everywhere are removed and warp goes directly to your target.
Manufacturing now consists of placing a set of ingredients on top of a blueprint and getting a chance to succeed at making various quality items. You have to be online, in a station, and clicking-and-dragging to make items. Factories are removed from the game.
Researching blueprints now consists of placing a set of test-tubes with the right chemicals on top of a blueprint and getting a chance to succeed in improving the blueprint. Laboratories are removed from the game.
Tracking speed, optimal range, and falloff range are removed from all weapons. Instead, Attack Strength + Random d100 roll - Defense Strength determines how much damage you do, if any.
A minimum of 10 characters are required to start a corporation - and they must all be on-line and in the same station to try it.
A $29.99 expansion pack would be released every year - allowing access to overpowering new ships, better loot missions, and new 1.0 solar systems with amazingly rich asteroid fields. Any attempt by a non-expansion pack owner to access expansion-pack content results in the in-game browser popping open and being directed to SOE to order the expansion pack.
Nothing can be dropped or deployed into the game world. All anchored cans explode and no jet cans are allowed. Loot is teleported directly into your cargo hold. All POSs become accessible via shuttles from a "POS Hub" station. |

It's a scary world, huh? I had a nightmare about it last night. I was around for the SOE MxO takeover and it was nasty. |

You forgot a couple:
1) Officer spawns would still drop nothing but civilian shield boosters, even after being live for what? A year?
2) It would take 72 people to kill an officer, and he would still only drop 3 items, all of which are NO DROP (excuse me...NO TRADE), and everyone present has one.
3) 2 years after the game goes live, they suddenly add a level 6 to all of your skills, but still make you train for it.
4) Every expansion (which come once every 4 months, whether they are finished or not) makes everything you earned in the last expansion completely useless.
5) They introduce a BRAND NEW death system 6 years into the game, which of course is only available to people who buy the expansion it came in. Everyone else is outta luck.
6) Some retard script kiddie uses his leet h4x to go directly to the spawn point of that Domination spawn. You petition him, only to find out his dad works for Sony and YOU get banned.
God, I could go on and on.

Every system would turn into 1.0, and you would get a jove character slot if you train 5 random skills to max...

SOE are the people behind Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest trilogy, Planetside, all those games. They are a horrible company that tries to cater to everyone so they can make as much money as possible. The dev teams that work on their games are VERY lazy, Planetside is an example of this.
Planetside isn't so bad its fun time to time, but the devs really did not spend enough time on it.

The response to all bugs would be "working as intended"
There would be an ingame tab to order pizza.
To build a ship you would first have to construct the tools that would be used to build the machinery that would be used to build parts for the ship building construct where the actual ship design would be made and then you could make your ship but you would have a 90 percent chance of failure on every aspect of the build from beginning to end.
Asteroids would now have a 70% chance to explode and kill you while collecting materials
All agents would send you to the farthest reaches of space to just get to another agent to confirm that yes you can have a mission but you need to go to the other side of eve space to get the actual mission.

Yeah, I was there for the MxO take-over too. I simply "forgot" to pay my subscription and was immediately back in Eve.
