Xetic falls and now everyone calls ASCN a backstabbers alliance or something. We left xetic because it sucked. We formed a new alliance. IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME AND NO ONE CALLS IT BETREYAL GET OVER IT. MASS did it to SE. The corps of SA did it just now. No one is calling them on it.... IRON / G guys claim that our forums say that we will stop any attempts at perminant residance of SA space. ON SAs REQUEST. We were asked by SA to not interfear unless G / IRON threatened the very existence of SA and set up shop there. Not to mention I dont take kindly to the idea of old enemies right next door. We had NO hostile intents towards G / IRON. Only NBSI. Show me a quote that states we planed to attack / try to destroy G / iron in a way other than preventing them from destabilizing the south for a long period of time. ASCN trys to police the area. IMHO a dumbass move on our part. But you all must realise the ONLY intention of this was to prevent SA from further factioning creating another event which would DESTABILIZE the south. All we wanted to do was prevent the south from coming apart. I really think it could have been done another way but hey its in the past now. G / IRON's attack. Blue standing people suddenly open fire on ASCN forces. WTF? You atleast should have done a forum post stating that you were fighting ASCN. I still have yet to see a REAL reason that G / IRON are attacking ASCN other than the SA corp wanted their outpost back ASAP. TBH I think if they wanted the outpost back ASCN forces would have probably captured it FOR THEM. G / IRON wanted an excuse to shoot us while we wernt expecting it. They got one and here we stand. Kinda low IMO but hey welcome to eve. SA. SA is in a current state of dissaray (despite what they may say). I mean come on. They just lost MASS, and 1500 ppl with omist. This are prolly just a WEEE bit funky over there. Despite this ASCN has NOT fired on SA forces other than in measures of self defence, of which Ive heard no incedents of. Now to sum it up really fast. Let me just express the absurdity of what has happened. G/IRON invade SA and wipe the floor. Taking a few stations including an outpost. G/IRON talk with ASCN command and decide "Hey we taught them a lesson, lets go home now." So G/IRON start to pack up and head home. ASCN looks at the decimated area of SA space and basicly thinks "** they got ** up, maybe we should help em out a little and protect the area till they can get on their feet." G/IRON break the agreement when they talk to outpost owners. Outpost owners want outpost NOW. No ASCN protection. G / IRON HELP THE PEOPLE THEY JUST KILLED / TOOK STATION FROM and go after ASCN without any warning and still under blue colors for ASCN personel. G/IRON need to take a few breaths and step back. ASCN needs to do the same thing. We need to realise we ARNT the police. SA can handel its self. The population of EVE viewed our actions as possibly malicious and acted on it a weee bit too fast. I know that ASCN would have given the space back. But I can understand everyone not trusting us to do so. Wasnt our place to just say were going to do it. Now if SA had ASKED us. That would have been more appropriate. What do you have to argue against this? What purpose is there to continue the fight against ASCN? If you get backstabbed its never a good idea to go all bitter and twisted, you just have to continue in the knowledge you are better than the people that backstabbed you rather than aping the low tactics used against you. All this knee-jerk closing of territory (as if that was possible) as a response to hostility is crazy. Only people it can annoy is your friends and allies and interested bystanders. Your enemy just loves it because its a physical representation of you digging yourself into a corner and becoming isolated from past diplomatic understandings. Words like that should not have been said as it will tend to get people backs up who have fought long and hard and for a fact i know IRON eve mailed ASCN before we broke any agreement and did not attack until this was done.
