Hi everyone,
First I want to say, that I am a developer and I know what you all are going through.
I was a big patch to an old game. But I have some things to say too:
1) The launcher is not very good for people who have more then one account.
You should set up some interface to help us with it. Old launcher was slow, but
this one take ages to log on. So much I'm not using it.
2) Players, every game has problem when applying patches and updates. Even
more when there is one expansion. Have a little patience. We may have two or
three more patches this month, and even some reboots. But they are working on
it (and I've seen worse response on issues more serious then the ones we are
having, in another games)
3) Well, if you have problem with the launcher (like the one we had some minutes
ago, before the reboot), try logging without it. Just enter your game folder and the
bin folder, then execute the ExeFile.exe. You will log as we did before the new
launcher.

Actually the restarts every night is the cleaning person unplugging the server because he/she needs the power socket. At least he/she plugs it back in after he/she is finished. |

I just wanted to sit down and play for a couple of hours to unwind. Why are we down...again?!! This is just getting silly. I might have to ask for the remainder of my annual fee I paid back and find a different game to play...if this keeps up. I enjoy playing eve, emphasis on playing, not waiting for the privilege of giving my money to wait around until CCP can get their crap together.

Actually look at the TOS/SLA EVE (The agreement you clicked through and did not read). you'll see they owe you nothing for downtime. |

You do realize that if this was ISP like AT&T, ComCast, Virgin, AOL etc that they would be having their asses chewed out and fines levied against them by now for excessive down time right? There's something called "reasonable expectation of services".
Show us a link of a company that has been fined for a couple hours downtime.... Can't wait to read something it would definately be entertaining.
If company's do have downtime they will generally compensate that person, CCP have been giving free SP [which I don't agree with] personally, I think people need to harden the **** up and stop asking for free ****. Just enjoy the game or go somewhere else, stop asking for your hand to be held. |
