Okay so most of people know that I was away from EVE 8 month and now returning, seeing that my agent system is full of people and LOOT THIEVES!
Okay I can live with loot thieves, even bold ones who asks help when you warp away and pirates aggros 'em - BUT there is new "kid on the block" .. HEALERS.
Thats right! There is people in LOGISTIC ships (Basilisk) HEALING ships that I'm supposed to kill for my reward. I'm shocked and in horror to see this kind of behavior. I might even say that people in WoW is more mature
At least RMR will deal people stealing loot but what about this new harasment "style"?? ________________________________________________________ 400x120@24000 bytes Max. -Capsicum

As long as its used against macrominers, fine by me. But using it against other players hunting rats etc. is not cool... --- "Why can't we all just get along?" |

Why?
ffs this game is gonna go the way of ultima online if people start petitioning harrasment on stuff like this.
You want the game so dumbed down to the point where every little thing has some sort of artificial and unrealistic restraints put in re: insta-whack concord etc.
People should stop running to the Devs and GM's all the time when they can take matters into their own hands.
Healing NPC's is a legitimate tactic (and grounds for some good roleplay too). Another legitimate tactic is for the "victim" to seek revenge either by war deccing the healers corp, blowing up the healer if in low sec, or hiring mercenaries to frag his ass.
Filing petions all the time does nothing but get the nerf bat dusted off, and eve dumbed down even further

Well is ore theft, wardeccing n00bs, stealing loot, using rude words and hell, having a faster ship then someone else because it allows you to reach your destination sooner then the other guy which is just plain griefin'...

As for the harrassment thing - well, only if some guy follows you round healing rats all the time. By definition, harrassment has to be a repeated series of actions against someone.

what and wait 24 hrs before you can do anything? mission expires by then ;)
seriously this sounds like the ore theft stuff tho, it was riskfree, now its not but with a bunch of unintended side effects. (aka, flag the person healing to you like with cans, but now an apoc can come in there and slightly heal a large npc, then when you fire on them...welll /me wavies.) The Damsel is no longer in distress. She was rescued enough times that she got the hint and installed better security systems at home. |

What's stopping you from attacking the healer? If you're in low sec, where's the problem? If you're in high sec, and you're afraid of an insta-whack from concord, well thats what happens when people petiton constantly for an easy fix instead of figuring stuff out for themselves.

Well now that is a new one...Being unable to do anything to the healer sucks. I think if you heal a npc and your not in the gang you should get shot by the people who are fighing them. when you heal a npc your picking sides and should be include in the mission then as a target.. You want to role play well if you heal the enemy then you should be come the enemy to the other people. Lets take this role bit just a tad farther instead of letting some under age ****er cream his pants by making other people life miserable.

By far the MOST fun is when you log in after DT and chase the 30 other people through the serpentis 3/10 complex (the 2 minutes after the server comes up is the only time you find this complex uncamped) and repair the station at the end that drops the gistii loot :)

This new flavor of piracy is called "Red Cross Ransoming". You don't need a Tec 2 ship. A capa fitted Maller with a med remore repair last out to put your victim under pressure. Simply ask for halve the mission reward to leave him alone. If you be polite you have a good chance to get some easy money.

Yes, you are 100% correct, Concord now pay back all ammo spent on missions and if you lose your ships with named mods, they give you it back with 1 unit of trit.
Please grow a brain and learn the definition of "risk free" before spouting nonsense like this, it's insulting. Unless it has changed in RMR, ship loss affects mission runners as much as anyone else, and is in many cases more frequent.

Well now this is sad...
I came up with this tactic here , as a way to deal with macro miners in empire space with npc's in the belt.
Its such a shame that griefers take this to a new low against players just playing the game.
Of course this will create a need for CCP to "fix" this to dis-allow a clever tactic to help the player war against macro'rs, on account of a few nimords that feel the need to grief people.
I'm now sorry I posted it.

well, doing mostly my fighting outside hi-sec space, I probably won't be bothered with this, so I find it hilarious ...
On a balancing/rp note, you only need to flag the healer for assisting and then, problem solved, "the friend of my enemy is my enemy"
Won't help if people rain $h1t on the shoulder of those who do lvl.1 missions while healing in an apoc though, but they can always go to less crowded places were they are not likely to find a healer wandering around ... ____________

Unfortunately, it is not your place nor right to take justice into your own hands. It is CCP's sole province and shouldn't be any other way.
You might think it's justified, but the reason is that most societies implement "Innocent until proven guilty" and vigilantism side steps that rule. Not only are you potentially harming innocent players, but you are also disregarding one of the pillar concepts of society.
Now, if you are an appointed representative of CCP games, then you might actually be able to do something, since they would appoint you by certain procedures, therefore preventing(hopefully) any abuse.
Like someone said, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Well im not sure what you are saying here...
Resivour Dogs(and others) are out there killing the macro miners in kestels and taking sec hits and loosing money, while taking these guys down.(with the appearant nod from CCP) From what Ive read, most of the communtiy accepts, if not applaudes thier efforts.
My method is just another form of this "community policing action".
What concerns me is the "abuse of abuses(?)", if it is indeed an ileagal option. IE: Is it ok to take down barges(re:macro miners) in kestels but not remote shield tank rats in belts to do the same thing?
I'm assuming by Quote: not your place nor right to take justice into your own hands
you mean the community?

Quote: What if the guy is a roleplayer and he's fighting back against the people that kill his NPC pirate brothers?
whilst I don't believe griefing should be removed from EVE, it would be nice if the griefers had the guts to admit that what they are doing is griefing instead of hiding behind really poor excuses like this one.
for everyone 1 person that heals NPCs for "roleplay" reasons, there must be 10 others doing it for kicks and giggles, to see the reaction of the poor guy shooting and saying "what the hell at this 1mil bs tank" and nothing more.... Eve Fitting Manager |

Omg
Not shure what i mean about it, it can be an griefing exploit, or simply "mean" tactics, but part of game, etc. Unless all in eve start healing an npc frig rat so it kill afk miners, im not shure its so big.

As a part of a real life community, mainly civilization, I have given both judgement and trust to the elected officials. Who am I to kill, rape, or maim a rapist, if I have given that authority to a governmental figure? I could of course object to lenient judgement, as well as others in the community, but we - the people - voted for the current government and if they are doing a bad job I can choose to elect another one next time. It is not a perfect system, as human nature prevents it, but it is better than the alternative.
Perhaps a better analogy is in order. Let us take for example child abusers. Now, these individuals are downright despicable and most people I know - me included - would want to take care of them ourselves, but by doing so, we would forfeit whatever safety and security we have established by electing a governing body. Now, those individuals we despise so much, are usually greeted coldly when sent to jail, where they are raped, beaten, and so on. There you have two opposing groups: Society at large, that desires vengeance, but has given those powers to the government, and the criminals who in turn have no regrets over any actions and would care less if they killed another man; unless maybe in Texas and where the death penalty card is played continuously.
