LOL people getting concordokkened in empire because they got shot by someone with snowballs. I suspect the GMs will be seeing a lot of mails about this. Maybe a better warning would have been better, then they could just say, "You should have read the news"

Erhm, so if I shoot someone with a snowball in real life, and they shoot me back with a Desert Eagle, then they shouldn't be prosecuted for murder???
If people are getting Concorded in Empire because they have itchy triggerfingers, they are asking for it... :)

Pilots should think a lil bit more and get less high on PCP (yeah PCP not CCP, not a typo...)before shooting. If peeps are shooting them in high sec and concord doesnt react they should think even more about it tbh, and being shot without any damage message/log or with new snow effects (if effects are not turned off) should give them a valuable number of clues, I hope  . So, no complain, snowball battle 4tw  (turrets/launchers deactivation is a safe move to prevent any concordokening  )

even after pelting a hell of a lot of people with snowballs, been shot with them myself by a corp mate a few times.. i was going through a gate and someone hit me with a snowball, my first reaction was to fire back :D luckily I had nothing but snowball launchers fitted.

I shot someone flying a brutix with snowballs, and the guy locked me but didn't do anything for like 20 seconds and then finally he started firing on me. I felt so bad that he just lost a brutix to concord...

I won't be a grinch/troll about it .. but the snow balls should work like the ship/cargo scanners TBH :) No lock to use them just a target; or at the very least you need a lock to use but it doesn't consider it a hostile act (ie no red blinky square :)
So far I've just used it on miners in barges in .4 system with a frig .. warp in .. speed up to them open up with snow balls just enough to make them have that sinking gut feeling as they're locked up.. then pelted with snowballs..
Interesting idea.. but it wore off fast; could see these being used for baiting if not changed; and can potentionally see these items being held onto for some time; for perhaps later griefing if not changed/removed from game after the holiday season :)

I got pelted coming into a a station. It was kind of unnerving seeing the targeting warning 'til I remembered CCP's little Christmas gift. Then I laughed.
Btw, the macrominers are going NUTZ over the snowballs. Their scripts recognize the snowballs as an attack and return fire, and, of course, they get Concord dokened. What a scream. Unfortunately we don't see many macro's down by us near Nikh, so I have to travel quite a distance to get my entertainment. It's a hoot watching 4 frig's pelt an Apoc macrominer, have it fire back and get gunned down instantly. HAHA

Empire War + Lame Gang Tactics + Effects Turned off + Red Flashing Square = Looks like being shot by a ganged war target. Then you return fire and die. The solution is simple, bug the GMs untill they compensate you.

If the person is that quick to fire, he was bound to lose his ship soon in Empire anyway.
Some people are better off simply not fitting guns in Empire space, they are a hazard to themselves.

I'm confused. Concord? I've been throwin snowballs at people in Curse and haven't seen any Concord response at all.
Except for the DED drones the agents tell me to go kill.

Snowballs are a hilarious idea, but for those concerned it'll be a problem next year.... I did read somewhere that the devs would be pulling them after New Year's.
(I thought I had this ingenious plan to wait till July to try the same tactics)
- So I'm gonna go find me some MACROMINERS-FOR-LOOT.
- I think we should start a thread just for finding/Concording the macrominers.
- I do, however, feel bad for those REAL PEOPLE that lost ships due to an itchy trigger finger, I've done the same for lesser reasons.
