this is getting worse and worse. to protect my accounts now I can not access them any more. I never give out my passwords, so why do u block my accounts? I reset the password manually as instructed, still after 2 hours i can not access 2 of my accounts!!!

I had to use that forgot password link and still havent gotten anything from that either.
News says give up to one hour....ok CCP I gave 90 minutes...can I please have my reset email now? I got skill training time im losing here.
*sighs* The ONE night I dont set an insanely long skill trainign before going to bed and this happens

Odd such a small amount of so called hacked accounts and I happen to have 3 accounts and apparently they have not sent another password out for my second account, but they have for this account. Do the math 57 so called hacked and I have several and I have two that have had reset passwords, and then there is another post that has two that are the same well I think it might be more then they say have problems unless they reset some 50k accounts. I want my accounts done. this is horse crap. I pay you playt with the accounts.

again. I have been sent the email to reset the password but on clicking the link to reset it tells me that it cannot reset the password.

Well I too have the NO ACCOUNT ERROR, odd how the account doesnt match my email. Nor from that lame error, exist. This needs to be fixed, and FIXED NOW. but then again how would you prove it was yours if it has been so called hacked????. I think they lost information on there servers to account names and what not and have a problem confirming if accoutns have been paid so they are taking it out on the accounts that pay for more then one month at a time. and some accoutns that have same email addresses. That is my take. again paying for accounts that can not be used. I think we should get a credit for lost time do to thier errors, or thier so called bs hacked server, accounts excuse. for one how did they know they were hacked??? and for two, why change the passwords when if an account is jacked, they could change the email, and have account info under it already. So for the we dont keep credit card info on files and what not. Go to your account and look under accoutn optiond and see what shows up.
This is bologna, FIX THEM CCP ! ! ! ! !

Finally got mine half an hour ago. That was after the CCP reset during dt.
My other account was working fine except that I changed the password and it stopped working. I reset that two hours after dt.
So - it looks atm as if it's taking seven hours to get the emails through.

i ve got the same problem as lmao it now taking the p*** i even got 1 of my corpie to petition for me and they told him to tell me to goto EVE SUPPORT and ask a question. And put all these thing in the question.

As we are sending out lots of emails, this takes some time. I understand your concerns and I assure you that everything will be done to rectify this situation.
If you need to send your case please include the following information
1. The cd-key of the account (and a scanned or a digital picture if available) 2. Account information (name of account holder, address, email, date of birth, creation date) 3. Billing information (last 6 digits of credit card, type of card, name of cardholder, subscription type) 4. Characters on the account 5. Other information you think could be helpful

Well finally got an email for my other account to reset password and keep getting an error message when using the link. Message reads " Your password could not be reset. The url you followed is either incorrect, has been used or has expired. Now trying to manually reset AGAIN, only been 7 and a 1/2 hours, ah well just have to wait for ANOTHER email.

still the same situation here - i have been sent an email, with a very suspicious image attached. My comp asks me if i want to run the item etc - Its all very very dodgy looking - When i follow the link it still says error link already used blah blah - Below is listed the steps:
1:Login in to yahoo to receive mail 2:Click on message which is labeeled EVE Online: Reset Password 3:A window then appears saying this:
An external application must be launched to handle cid: links. requested link: cid:03.jpg application: cid
If you were not expecting this request it maybe an attempt to exploit a weakness in that other program. Cancel this request unless you are sure it is not malicious.
4: i click on one then the other link displayed both send me to a page with this message: Your password could not be reset. The url you followed is either incorrect, has been used or has expired.
It all seems very dodgy especially (3) listen to the wording - used to exploit a weakness in that other program, hardly sounds like official, microsoft error or warning language does it. I dont nnow what it is and i dont like it.

Seems to me that this is a panic reaction by CCP to disable lots of accounts just in case. I asked for a new password for my main account 6 hours ago and got nothing.
This is appauling customer service and wouldnt expect it from any other company I pay a subscription to.
CCP, sort this out NOW. Add this big mistake to the very bad lag issues you seem unable to fix and all of a sudden EVE does not seem to be the game it was.
Fix this now

My main account has also been blocked (this is my brothers-im having to borrow it)
I too had to "ask a Question" and i got an email back fro a gm asking for 10 bits of information about my account - including credit card details, characters MY name and dob. In all th post you see CCP say they will NOT ask you for billing info_WHY ARE THEY NOW????? AND WHY HAS THIS HAPPENED IN THE 1st PLACE???????

I think ccp are ashamed of their support for such a great game guy/girls, in nearly 3years this hasnt changed i think that ccp should have antisipated this and had many 24hour support workers in ready for this instead as per usual theyve just done in on a friday and i bet the support/billing people that normally work mon-fri are right now enjoying their weekends whilst all the paying subscibers suffer.

I just post this in general so I'll cut and paste here as well as this worked for me:- Ok I have been waiting ages for this password to arrive, I even manually reset my password twice, link arrived for first reset and didnt work. I have just logged into my ISP (BTOPENWORLD/ YAHOO) and in the spam mail box was my original email for eve with the login and password.I wonder if alot of people who haven't received the original email with the password in have the same problem and just need to login into their ISP homepage and check the mail box there. PS I am now back online with account and all is fine.

just thought i would add a bit here, i got my email with the new password,, i tried to enter it to change it on my account screen and it wouldnt accept it, i dont know if any one else had this prob but to get around it i copied the password off the email and then right clicked paste on to eve, worked fine that time, think it might have been confusion with the characters, back online now tho

Well, I finally received an email to change my password (18 hours after i asked for it!) and now get this message when I follow the URL link in the mail

Yeah something is not right here. The GMs are officially saying wait for up to 9 hours but that's not right.
I've actually been through the reset procedure on both my account and my other account was used to post to this thread earlier. Unfortunately when I came to log into it to change a skill later on I couldn't. I'm surprised if I got the new password wrong but we can all suffer brain fart.
The point of this posting is that I asked for another reset at 9pm last night and still haven't gotten another email. I started a petition and got the thread updates emailed using that address without problems. The petition has even been correctly attributed to my other account further proving that the email address is correct.
Since I have been through one reset last night successfully and can get petition updates emailed through and the support systems can link my addy to that account it's obvious that there is nothing wrong at my end.
I'm not saying their systems are dead but that 'within 9 hours' is incorrect and they should stop saying it.
BTW:I run my own email server and I can check the logs so I can track SMTP connections. Anytime CCP connect to my mail server I will know it.

Same thing has happened to me. E-mail is good because I was able to get a e-mail for reset once byut it didnt work. Now have been waiting almost 24-hours with nothing but canned responses asking me to check a link which requires a PASSWORD I AM WAITING FOR or they will close the issue in 48-hours! Are they stupid or what!!?!!?!?!?

ive had 2 e-mails with different passwords for the same account, one from ccp the other from when i manually requested a pass change. manual took 20mins ccp nearly 12hours(and it was delivered to my bulk folder) I Cant Read And I Cant Write But I Can Fly An Apoc.

CCP, please read these posts and understand that we need to be updated on what is happening and when we can expect tp be able to login.

I have the same issue
I would like to know why some people were able to recieve there new password by email and the others have to verify who they are.
Like having to go to ASK A QUESTION and give the last 6 digigts of there credit card, Name and address etc etc.
Why are there different varients of procedures?
And even done that and still no ******* answers on what is going and when it will be resolved.
This is a complete JOKE of customer service

For those still waiting don't expect the emails to arrive in order or separated by the same delay between attempts to reset. I just got three emails at the same time, two for one account, another for second account. Two of the three emails claimed to have been sent out last night around 8pm and one claiming to have been sent out two hours ago.

hmmm....i just wanted to add my own comments for the record...it's saturday night @ 9pm est and still the only emails i have recieved from CCP was asking for more info...and a 2nd email, asking for more info...still no emails to change my password....ill also add i still can't access my account management page via eve-online due to this fudge-up....tomorrow will be day 2 (or 3)?? damn irritated now as my other 2 alts can't function with my main....I know lots r having this same problem so i won't gripe too much....but i am damn unhappy with CCP...the lack of info/updates, no promised emails...what the hell?!

I don't see why CCP -can- act to close down an account but not send a mail straightaway. They had a list of the accounts they were closing down; how hard can it be to get a list of the accounts' passwords once you have that? I didn't mind the 3 hour wait, I did mind the lack of communication. I'd have been appeased with a simple "please wait, we're on it" mail, instead of only being able to read half a news message, which I was unable to read completely, since I wasn't allowed on the Player News Center either.
Anyway, seems others have got worse problems. And CCP has a lot of credit, so I suppose we shouldn't make too much of a single slip-up. Certainly, yelling "REFUND REFUND REFUND" like a blithering fool isn't going to do any good.
I'd like to recommend CCP talk this over with the people responsible, formulate a contingency plan for situations just like this and follow that plan the next time something like this happens. Communication should be the first priority, fixing the problem second.

Couldn't agree more Grismar, this is about communication. Keep everyone up to date as yo what the issues are and what they are doing will keep me happy. But all I have had is the standard generic e-mail that says follow the link to reset the password.
Please communicate to your customers CCP, it will take a lot of heat off you.

Ok starting day 3 and still nothing more than 2 auto replies and 1 email from a gm asking for more info 
I can understand that these things take time but would it be so hard to let us know just what is going on every once in a while? Yes I hate the fact that I am missing 24 hours + of good trining time - last skill finshed yesterday morning- but I can deal with that. It's the feeling of being in Limbo that i hate

still no access....i love this game, but its startin to loose its luster to me...CCP always informs us when their are issues...why is this so different? Im loosing isk and skill training (cause we got no warning to change to a long skill, of course)...
ill continue postin even tho it does nothing, just so others and maybe CCP (if their interested) can re-read our posts and know just how irritated a select few of us are!
also, CCP, stop sending them damn auto responses for more info, cause that just ****es me off even more, especially when it says in the same damn email, that multiple responses to the same problem will slow things down!

ok i dont know about anyone else but its been 4 days now... almost. i had the problem that my email was an old one i dont use, so a gm kindly reset it after giving last 6 numbers of credit card, dob, etc etc.. that was cool that happend within 10 hours or so and was sorted.. so i completed the form to get my password mailed to me.. and nothing.. 2 days later and i get the email sent to me to retreive password, i click on it and it says invalid its expired...
perfect....
ccp claims on their news post only 57 accounts where compromised.. yet i recive a email about high traffic on the password rest... how can their be high traffic if only 57 people where compromised, and even if its 5,700 people or even 50,000 people surly a password retreivel form can sort this out in 3-4 days....
:/ cumon guys this isnt funny anymore, i petitioned it and got a spam responce of "can i have your direct x diagnostic info please".... yes indeed..

CCP 4 days is well over 9 hours and what kills me is the info email from a GM that COULD have read properly the submitted petition with ALL the info he needed to at least see what the problem was and take care of me.
Are you also going to add my Skill training time loss?

Its not like we don't know you don't read it. all you have to do is post here and fix us from a list you ALL have. Get this Crap in order CCP by the end of the day I hope I have my emails sent WITH WORKING LINKS!!!!!!

Well it is the end of the day here in the U.S and still no email. No responce from in this tread from a GM no help no Eve. Was not able to PVP and another day that I have paid for.
Listen guys it sounds you need help with costumer support. Let me offer my services to you I am able to perform all the functions you guys need and I will be in the U.S time zone so it will be 24hrs service. If you need my resume email me at [email protected]
I will wake up tomorow and go to work. Will check email and get home. I hope I get one and I hope it works.
CCP your service has been awful since I started playing the game. I feel that I have to be English and with 33+ mill SP for you to handle my petition. Cause all the Euros with 33+ sp in my corp have been taking care off.

60 hours now without being able to log in! Still no sign of a new password. Requested one again yesterday morning at 10:00, it has not been nearly 24 hours since that last request.
Your update clearly says that we may have to wait up to ten hours but I have waited 24 hours from my last request and still nothing.
I have been playing EVE for over two years and never have I felt so dissapointed with CCP. Fix this with at least a realistic lead time for the fix or kiss goodbye to all my subscriptions.

Sadly, my wife's new acct she created today is having the same types of issues..... I know her password because I helped her create it. game let her log in 1 time, she started training, now she can't log in again.
I won't get into the lag issues in this thread, but I'm seriously thinking to cancel my 3 accts and hers, with a charge back on hers for lack of service rendered if they don't answer her email for a fix or reset in a timely (24 hr) period. This is ridiculous. |

I'm also having this problem with my other account. This is going on the 3rd day. I did get one E-mail from a GM the first day asking for more info, sent the info but here I am still locked out. I have no problems waiting, but some kind of reply to ALL OF us, would go a long way to ease my mind and I'm sure the others too.

4days nows without eve(the shakes are now kickin in ) i've supplied all the info ccp asked for but still no p/w reset grrrrrrrr maybe they want your height/eye colour/weight etc ccp helpppppppppppppppppppp plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

To me it seems, that they are now extremly fast in solving the calls. From what I learned, GMs can now generate your new password and reset your Email at once.
As I just got my account "back" and learned about that, I guess you should be into EvE again quite soon(TM) too. Would guess by today it should be ok.

The fact that customer support is asking us to send essentially all the details necessary to hijack our accounts via clear text email is a serious security issue that sheds light on why they were hacked in the first place. Every server that routes that email potentially could store this information forever for the prying eyes of unscrupulous administrators and hackers.
CCP needs to set up a secure web form (SSL) to take these kinds of requests and ensure that post handling is also not insecurely transmitted or stored. CCP security staff policy needs a major overhaul... you're only making matters worse and putting us all at further risk. A quality security audit is clearly needed here.

72 hours and counting for a new password! What is going on? its now been 17 hours since i last logged in and asked for a new password, I was told it "could" be up to ten hours (I whish)
I can't believe that I am still venting my anger in this thread still.
Sort it out CCP, give me and everyone else who is still waiting a new password.

HOLYY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!! I got an email and it was the proper one that we all are waiting on. Yes Yes you all read properly some GM got of his rear end and decided to email me. I will say this they were upset at me cause they reseted this PW when it was not petitioned. Hum funny no petition for this account and we are able to do the job? guys get anoying it works. By the way CCp my offer still stands on costumer support manager.

Well i can say with satisfaction that my issue was resolved on monday. (fourth day after the boom). Was very nice, direct, and even though it took the support team so much time, they corrected everythign to the point that i can only congratulate them on their work. Special case on good work - GM Zworm, thx for help, u were awesome, quick n all, thanks for everything.

Cough , Crap customer Service Cough....either that or CCP cannot solve your issue..they have been saying that a lot recently.in those words we cannot solve your issue....character restoration from being hacked, we cannot solve your issue, password being reset we cannot solve your issue..servers not being hacked internally we cannot solve this issue, * yawn *

They have not replied to any of my emails (3). It also appears from the numbers loggin in and the lack of replies in this and other threads that most people's accounts have been sorted, so why, if lots of staff have been allocated the job of dealing with this problem, hasn't my new password been sent to me??

I don`t have a problem with my game account, Its my eve store account, I`ve been waiting 8 days now for a password reset, It concerns me alot as they keep your credit card details on it, You could say that if someone were to break in and buy something I would know as I`d receive an order confirmation, But I bought some Game Cards and didn`t get one for them. Only thing I`ve received so far is a stupid survey they wanted me to fill out asking how good the customer service was ?!? "How The Hell Would I Know" You have not been of service to me yet  -----------------------------------------------
