What do interceptors kill best? NPC set up battleships (non combatants) haulers (non combatants) mining ships (non combatants) frigates (noobs and poor people) and other interceptors (bottom feeders).
Anyone flying in groups of BSes might try to argue that they are not playing in a "cowardly" fashion, but playing in a "smart" fashion. But really, to have courage is to break away from the mob mentality and be your own person. In *ANY* MMO, what self respecting true PVPer enjoys hanging out in groups? Think about that.
PVPers should fight PVPers and either ransom or ignore non combatants. You dont have to destroy everything you see. BTW, if you ransom correctly you will make more isk than if you just blindly randomly pk, and the people who you ransomed, if they are smart, will respect you for ransoming instead of killing.
You could always play another game where the PvP is up to your 1337 standards /me blows an e-kiss

"Nothing wrong with flying an interceptor for the sole purpose of fighting other interceptors."
Ohh? o.(
"What do interceptors kill best? NPC set up battleships (non combatants) haulers (non combatants) mining ships (non combatants) frigates (noobs and poor people) and other interceptors (bottom feeders)."
that seems pretty clear cut to me. NPC hunters and miners are "non combatants", frigate pilots are "noobs and poor people", interceptor pilots are "bottom feeders". Each and every single one of them.

I think big fleets of ships in alliance controled space popping anything that moves is just all part of the game and makes it fun, I mean at one point another one of my characters made himself a name by continually running these blockades in an apocolypse set up so well it could turn into warp as fast as most frigates. Its all just skill at playing, if you find yourself getting ganked at 0.0 gates then think to yourself, *now what can I do next time to stop them from getting me*
As far as the situation is concerned you have 0% chance of fighting your way through that blockade however when 20+ ships including interceptors blockade a gate and you still managed to get through.... who just got owned now
20+ ships and they still couldnt stop you getting through..... hehe. Just think of it liek that, it makes the game a heck of alot more fun to play. btw once you get through the initial blockade you can get your 1 on 1 fights, because guess what......... that alliance fleet that was just trying to kill you.. they were guarding something, maybe like the entry and exit routes to their space, if you still feel mad you can pick off their lone traveling ships as much as you want now because that fleet is going to take a very long time getting all the way back up into their space.

Edited by: Rod Blaine on 12/01/2006 02:00:48 Alliance/group pvp in eve is about longer term warfare, not duelling.
That's all there is to it. It's not brave, it's efficient.
If you dislike that to such an extent as to call everyone who does bottom feeders and cowards then maybe you should play something else, something more duellish.

LOL before prewssing the post button I thought "Someone is going to quote this 1 line post and then take that other post I made earlier and put the two together thinking I somehow contradicted myself. Then I thought, "If so, let them. They are wrong to think that. I'll easily own them."
I made a list of what interceptors KILL BEST. And it is a true list. If you are a player who likes to spend al lyour time killing those things and you do so in a gank setting etc (as has been the topic of this thread) then you are a bottom feeder etc.
There is a large difference between a bottom feeder and a person who pilots an interceptor for the sole purpose of killing other interceptors (a person who would be willing to take on even more challenging ships than that, or try to go up against pvp BSes with 1-3 other frigates. Both of my statements are true. One was an example of a gankers mindset, the other the mindset of a pvper looking for a good challenge. ---
