"The Venal Alliance has never made any secret of its opposition to the ôlegalö constraints of the Concord Organisation and member states. We exist in self-declared independence of imperial governance, and operate in a de facto state of war with current galactic powers. " ....
... "and given continuance of the said status quo the methodology of VA wealth acquisition and internal funding will include privateering cruises and piratical endeavours beyond the borders of Venal proper." - Jade Constantine
I suppose you remember making those statements.

Jade - you cannot pick when and where to present your unalloyed opinion without serious damage to credibility. Did the boy who cried wolf tell the townspeople that they were now getting his 'unalloyed opinion' when the wolf really did show up?
Any professional and ethical PR practitioner would refuse to have taken 'Venal Alliance' on as a client without them agreeing to seriously modify their practices and membership.
An example: You are hired to do PR for a murderer. You know he is a murderer and yet you decide to represent him anyway. You do a great PR job and convince everyone he is an innocent sweetie and he gets released.
Then the next day he goes out and murders someone else? What exactly does that do for your reputation as a PR practitioner?
Surely you can understand when people question your ethics? After all how can we tell when you are telling the 'unalloyed' truth and when you are simply undertaking PR? Just because you say you are now telling the truth?
Good PR starts with actions not words! You are clever with words Jade... but words alone cannot defend the reputation of an organisation when its actions contradict its rhetoric.
Venal Alliance was the home of pirate clans - yet you defended it to the hilt. Did you stick your head and your Corporation on the line and insist that Venal Alliance should kick the pirates?
Your form of PR gives the entire profession a bad name!

hey TTI, do you reimburse m3g4 for the ships they've lost?
for 25 mil each kill they hand over, it's going to take them like 6 kills now to break even.

Oh what a twisted web we weave, when we practice.... oh you already know this one.
Anyways, it will be interesting to see how this develops physically and HDY would like to offer their shipsyards to select clients should they become necessary for them to re-arm/re-fit/re-equip their vessels.

TTI exposed.. Finally... ur actions have borne fruit ... and now u run... and u want us to feel pity? HAH Jade.... remember a few days ago? when i spoke of TTI's treachery ... it was you my dear who came to their immediate defense... Now you know... better late than never. Several times did they try to buy off Project Mayhem ... in Obe . We were only a 2 man force .. myself and Lucifer.. yet their incompetent hordes would coem at us with no less than 10 cruisers... lol . Ctaesis was one of the many TTI victims i claimed and i am DAMN proud of it. If any1 needs my services in the effort to destroy TTI ... well all 2.6 million of my skill points and 3 months of PVP XP is at your service! good luck!

Nah Qball ... I play it very passively now... reason being in part what happened with me .. adn partly cause of university . I only log on to train skills and chat a bit, but this recent event sparks my interest... and I will come hunt TTI whenever there is a hunt out for them . I dont want money or loot. Just the satisfaction of killing those capitalist backstabbing dogs. They would have run out of backs to stab sooner or later.

LOL... I'll throw in my services against TTI.. this is a char designed strictly for combat against just this kind of foul scourge. Many pilots of Battleships and Cruisers know to their chagrin the dangers of a multi pronged missile / fast attack frigate wing. If you want to get some newer characters into the fray let them know that should their ship get destroyed it will be replaced by the new alliance. A new frigate is relatevly cheap VS the potential grief and support it can give to the "Big Boyz" of space. I know of several frigate players that would love to come out to play ... |

Yes, I'll also sell ships if you need them, who knows when you get blown up. Prices are very good, so just msg me in some place or other, and yes, I do bulk packages aswell.

Does this mean the rumours of TTi selling ships to Fountain corps, 'beating all other offers' as goes Ragnar's catchphrase, are true?
Nice to know who comes first with TTi out of allies or ISK.

Edited by: Eurydike on 01/09/2003 20:02:42 You know, I really like this quote from the interview from The Scope with Ragnar:
Quote:
Cerys Ereint > Do you regard yourselves and Space Invaders and the Paladins as the "new" Venal Alliance?
Ragnar > No we will have a new name. The name "Venal Alliance" is tainted as a place, not unlike a western saloon, where pirates and criminals came together to scowl and occasionally get together for a rough game of poker. Now there is a new law in town and anyone with a red bandana is going down.
Must be some funny law you apply when the Space Invaders will be part of the Sheriff's Office. Or is the new law that TTi will decide which pirates and criminals will be playing poker, instead of some Alliance Council?
I'm confused.
Also, so the VA was made up of pirates and criminals, why didn't you admit it earlier?

The alliance was created as a coalition of corporations for joint regional defense. All corporations would have an equal right to an opinion, and a majority vote of corporate officers would be a descisive factor in any dispute. On multiple occasions TTI has proven that it does not wish to follow these basic concepts of self-regulation, and now everyone can see where it all came down to. I am saddened by the fact that some people i respect decided to leave the game, especialy Calladen Nimitz, a person i have come to respect the most over the last three months.

Edited by: Ulstan on 01/09/2003 20:49:16 I heartily approve of all the backstabbing and political maneuvering It only adds to the fun of the game, as long as no one takes it personally (*cough* Calladaen *cough* )
Though I do think it odd that, right as cries for some sort of content are waxing loudest, the corporation most often accused of having many Polaris members in the roster, and being hand in glove with CCP devs in terms of getting perferential treatment, suddenly make such a drastic and unforseen move.
As far as SI is concerned, we had to leave the old alliance because they were determined to make us give up our piratical ways :D Even if TTi had agreed to whatever and stayed in the VA, we would have had to leave.
And for all the people claiming we are in the pay of TTI - I haven't seen a single isk of TTi's money. I haven't ever been given (or sold) ships, guns, or ammo by TTi.
SI has always pretty much done their own thing, and I don't really see that changing any time soon :)
As for the rest of the members of the VA, I don't hold any hard feelings for them. There were some cool guys in it :) I also admired the KIA fellows - even though they seemed rather inexperienced at PvP they were out there trying their best :) I wish them luck wherever their next paths might take them :D
Now if you'll excuse me I have to log off and come back and post as Ragnar. ;)
Doh! Forgot to add that our CEO has been AWOL all weekend doing some damn fishing or other :P So he certainly hasn't been busy making secret plots with TTi to lord it over Venal. I don't think we'd even *want* to be in charge of a region like that.

Who can say? That was neither voted on nor fully discussed. If you review the logs of the meeting you will see that there was almost complete support for the corporations who made their income 'by other means'. It would appear that TTi have polarised opinion through behind the scenes lobbying - precisely the accusation they lay falsely at Jericho's doorstep.
I find it strange that SI, a corporation all of whose members I have great respect for without exception, will soon (if not already) be fighting side-by-side with M3G4. No matter what the cause is, I find that both distasteful and strange. Far better that you would agree mutual NAP between us and TTi than that.

Yes Saladin, but you need to be prepared to fight. At the moment the Free Venal Alliance is preparing to eject the foul TTI and their fouler allies. If and when the war of liberation is successfully concluded it is the intention of the revolutionary council of the FVA to allow immigration and commerce and development rights to a range of Corporations and individuals. This will not be the TTI dominated VA of old, but a outward looking regional power pursuing stability and justice within territorial dominions.

If you want to know how the members of New Venal show mercy and justice, I suggest you contact 'Henry' in game and ask what I did for him a week or so ago. And no, I have not warned or primed him.
In case he is offline, Henry was a Megathron pilot who was caught in the crossfire between Venal and Evolution. Saddened at an innocent pilot lost, in the name of the Emperor's Mercy, I consoled him with possessions and money to see him back to self sufficiency.
In the meantime TTi has allied itself with the lowest dogs in the universe - M3G4 - as well as the piratical corps from the old VA (for whom I have much respect, even now). If you want a free and open Venal then fight for it! As will I when I am returned from Limbo yet again :-(

This issue of visitors will be sorted after we deal with the issue at hand. Venal needs to be secured before we can even discuss any visitors coming into the region. And then of course the council will meet and discuss the visitor topic. _________________________________ Indefinately MIA Former CEO Occassus Republica - Military Division Leader Founding members of the Venal Alliance You'll Find Religion When I Find You |
