I was ceo of my first corp with some buddies, but they all left to join CLS and Ascendant Frontier right after the XF War in the south. I was also itching for kali (exodus) to come out, or was figuring out of I wanted to get a barge or not. I forget if kali (exodus) was released when I was 6 months old or after.

Well, about 3-4 months in I was invited to a channel called the space bar. I was 17 IRL at the time as was already running a fairly successful corp of about 30 members. We were a mining corp and the most recent expansion being Quantum Rise were were all working hard toward getting ourselves an orca.
We did eventually get it which was an amazing effort for us...but then we ran out of goals and it started to peeter out.
However, as a result of the space bar channel I was slowly dragged into some drama unfolding. The creator of the channel wanted to be the defacto non-official-help-chat for the newbs and his gimmick to make it work was making a point of having everyone using in-game voice.
It was working too. Not only was he teaching them but also leading them in newb fleet through level 4s. The Combat oriented newbs would join him in combat, the salvagers would come in and clean it, and the miners would mine w/e was in the deadspace.
Eventually someone got the idea to make a corp together since they were having so much fun....
That was the first bad idea. When it happened there were so many people trying to join they had a waiting lsit for the guy to train more corp skills. And inevitably a newb got can flipped by a greifer corp, and the greifer corp realized they had about 300 newbs on their hands...
I got involved in the war at some point, proud to say I killed the greifer corp's CEO at one point with an autocannon prophecy.
Around that 6-7 month mark though the whole thing had folded, tne space bar creator had disappeared from EVE (only to return several times over the year to attempt the same thing), and all the cool guys that originated from the space bar that didnt care fro the war and just wanted to have fun had broken off into their own channel. Several of them I still talk to today :D The Drake is a Lie |

Back in 2003, first 2-3 weeks around Villore/Orvolle area. Then took my buddies to Outer Ring where we started making bank and making friends/alliance.
Had to deal with some terrible people within our alliance at the time and we couldn't really do much about them. So I started a second "Merc" Corp and we basically setup and ganked those people that we didn't like in PF-346.
These people that we didn't like, would transport Megacyte and Zyd all the way from Outer Ring to Yulai market (First major HUB; the Jita of those times), and PF-346 was the perfect place to jump them with our "Merc" alts.

So we ended up griefing the sh!tty people out of our alliance and made hilarious profitssssss while doing it
After that we joined in with other corps and went north to take part in the first "Great Northern War"
LMAO and this was just the beginning...

6 months into Eve I had wandered out into nullsec providence and was belt ratting in my thorax (still flew back to hisec every night though). I have no idea what induced me to try this, perhaps I had heard the area was NRDS. It was my first time in nullsec. I pretty quickly got hooked on the income and stopped mining and missioning. I'm not sure if the stations out there were conquerable or if they had been created by CVA. I also had to swallow my pride as a gallente because *amarr roleplayers* I only ever lost two ships out there, 1 thorax to a pilgrim, and a brutix to a Veto curse. I still find amarr recons to be effing terrifying. This was in 2006. "CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"

Turns out I wasn't crown King of Eve till about 2 months later after I'd defeated all the Serpentis the game could make (though I hear rumors of more serps about, but those are only rumors)

6 months into Eve, I was proudly undocking my freshly trained Abbadon and shooting Serpentis battleships in Fountain belts. The sight of a faction spawn was like the world to me.
Until I found out that as an anom/belt runner my ISK income was the absolute detritus of nullsec, with the middle class being explorers and people doing the high-class DED sites, and the top being large manufacturers as well as the inner circle of Moongoo-Online.
In the meantime I was elevated to the the middle class and enjoy the semi-good life. In another half year, I plan to once again level up. Having finished all the dread support skills, having a POS in Highsec for lulz, and finally find a new home in Null again. |

I was running my two towers in Deven (0.3), mining and reacting silicon diborite on one, and reacting it with stuff bought from Jita into phenolic composites. And running the gauntlet through Heydieles and Yvangier to get to Jita for the rest of my raws... this was in early 2006, before Deven's back door to Black Rise was constructed. At three months (2005) I was even crazier - I'd earned my first medium tower (they were cheaper then), and was doing phenolic composites on the medium, using coupling arrays for the inputs and outputs, which meant I needed to visit it every three hours to clear the output before I lost product. That was grueling! I'd shut it down at night. Thankfully I earned enough that month to get my Large.
And also I'd run out to ORE country to pick up Tracking Arrays to sell in Jita. I never lost one, but I lost a couple of cheap haulers on the way in to pick them up.

I am at 6 months now.
I started with L1 missions in a corax and mining in a venture.
Then did L2 missions in a caracal and mining in a retriever.
Then saved up for a drake and started L3 missions.
Then found a player corp specialising in salvaging peoples L4 missions in a noctis.
Worked up my skills, isk, and standing and started L4 missions in a raven, then a navy scorpion, then a navy raven.
Then got interested in the idea of participating in incursions, so cross-trained some gunnery and got a rokh.
Spent a little while earning mega-isk in incursions and used it to buy a nightmare, then used that to earn much more.
After a while doing incursions in my nightmare I have more isk than I know what to do with.
So now I am training up assault frigates, covert ops, bombers and interceptors, to blow some money in lowsec. |

6 months in: level 2 missions in a quiet lowsec, discovering T2 weapons by looking at what killed my 24th thrasher and checking the prerequisites on it, fat-fingering approach and orbit buttons and so discovering that you could get under a BS rat's guns and chew it to death with a destroyer or cruiser. If i made 2 million in an evenings ratting and didn't get dogpiled or instapopped, felt like i'd kicked much ass.

Like many had started off mining, however at 6 months I was in a industrial corp and had started mining in a Hulk, I was bored and was reading the forums and found a thread about NPC 0.0, so decided to do that, so at that point I changed my skill plan to be able to operate there, 2 months later having got a drake to an acceptable level I made my way there and walked into a ton of drama and a six month out-numbered war, but enjoyed it immensely... If you do not want LOCAL go to WH space,-áand those people who think that WH space is like 0.0 but without local,-álight a cyno and try jumping to it.-á-á There is a structural issue with Eve, based on accounts with no link, vast reserves of ISK-áand plex, which makes it too easy to metagame the destruction of small alliances. |

I'm at 6 months as a player now, started in June.
I've got frigate, cruiser, battle cruiser, battleship (tech 1) and assault frigate, covops, stealth bomber (tech 2) skills for one faction.
Decent exploration skills
Tech 2 armour tank
Tech 2 drones (no sentry yet)
Decent core skills (I think)
No tech 2 guns, no missile skills
I spend a lot of time running around doing exploration in low-sec currently
In 6 months I want good skills for battleship fits (tech 2 all round), Frigate level V for more factions, and tech 2 cruiser skills. |

EVE really started to be even more exciting for me than it already was After searching for a suitable new home for quite a while, I found that new home of us in a way I did'nt expect. After leading a poor lost soul, that got stuck in there and called for help in the german help channel, back into known space (not by pod express ), I stayed a moment and took a closer look around. That system was uninhabited. Sometimes, a little help yields great reward! EvE Infolinks-áGÇô Umfangreiche Sammlung von Links mit informationen ++ber EvE, inklusive Guides und Infos von mir selbst |

I came into EVE recently, in the middle of Retribution. Started out playing with a friend in a hi-sec corp. After about a month or 2 a few other friends asked me if I wanted to come down to paragon soul in null-sec. I comtimplated it for a little bit and then got kicked out of my hisec alliance for un-docking during a war. So unto null I went, from there it was a lot of ratting and salvaging. After about the 3rd month the corp I was with decided to leave our nulll allaince to go up to hi-sec. Upon heraing this all of my friends went with tribal band and I went with SQUEE. Then all of the BullSh** started with Tribe and CFC and TEST...That was my first 6 months in EVE

I started in EvE in late 2005 (EvE was my first MMO), so 6 months later it was early 2006.
I had started a corp (Pinnacle Sun Industries), living in The Forge in the Inaya system, having a good time with a great group of pilots, PvPing in low/null sec, banded together with other corps living in Inaya against macro and sweat shop miners, developed strategies to run them out of the system by bumping and other tactics. Tried every possible activity in game minus black hat professions.
Three months later we were living in null, corp tore in half between those who didn't want to go to null sec and those who did, The Big Blue was under assault by that big mercenary group (I forget their name), our supply route was cut off, so we merged with another corporation in our alliance to survive. They had capitals, so we could jump our junk into our home system.
6 months from now... so mid 2014. Hmm. Good question... I'll probably have scouted out and setup a 3rd base in a distant part of the galaxy from my 1st and 2nd bases. I'm feeling like a change. Will probably join a corp with other players... as I lack companionship. All of my old friends don't play anymore.
I really need variety and various activities to keep from getting bored. If I get bored again I'll probably unsubscribe. If I get frustrated with the development of the game again I may unsubscribe. Hopefully I am having fun and still feel positive. Daniel Zehn Keeper of Evil Frosty

I woke up five months into the game to find that I was the CEO of the corp I was in at the time, the previous CEO had resigned in a fit of temper and the others thought I was a decent compromise.
Mostly of it was great, we were pretty much all new players, trying to understand Eve Online together.
We did things like Mining Mondays, purely as a means of bonding and sharing what little knowledge we had.
First war dec, we hid in the station, second one, we went out and had a go, as useless as we were, it just seemed better than letting some one else stop us from doing anything.
The part I hated, on a purely personal level, was that a couple of corpies, the ex CEO foe example, would want to have private convo's and, well, cry and *****.
I always have great respect for any CEO, it can be very hard work trying to keep corpies happy.
Real life then got on the way for four years, came back to a game I could hardly recognize in many ways, but still here learning the ropes.

As far as six months from now, I've got no clue. The other night was the first time I've done more than just spin ships or run an occasional mission in almost a year, and even then all I did was hop into an Incursion fleet. I'm hoping my interest in the game will be rekindled, despite the fact that the devs keep nerfing the few ships and playstyles I still like. We'll see.
Ideally, if I start playing regularly again, I'd like to start making some PvP videos. I know everyone and their dog is making them or streaming these days, but it'd be a great record I can look back to in future years and say, "Damn, that was fun." I may even create my own soundtracks. |

I have been playing EVE now for 7 months, so thankfully I don't have to remember to far back.
Currently me and my corp mates are enjoying fighting other pilots and corps, one day we may actually win
After the first 3 months I realised that everything a RL friend had been telling my about focusing my skill training was correct and I am now flying Loki and recon ships and looking for the HAC next.
Also after 3 months, I decided that mining is boring and after a quick gank by a new order agent i realised that blasting rocks is not really a good plan in a PVP game. Unless you are ninja mining in lo/null or WH space as at least it keeps your attention so i have stopped mining now and EVE is much more interesting
So i would obviously like to thank the New order for showing me the error of my ways and getting me to go out and fight instead of blasting roids.
My CEO has recently discovered my loathing of mining after trying to get me to mine for the corp wallet. Then being attacked by me in a battle venture He was expecting it though as he jumped his alt in with his Widow and returned fire... Thank you for the +2 warp strength on the venture CCP
Just moving into a wormhole now and still loving this game although I still suck at PVP.
Over the next 6 months
Experience wormholes with my corp and some other RL friends, who are currently in the same hole, and try not to anger BOB.

Also will be looking to joining Brave Newbies with an alt who i am training so i can learn PVP better and have even more good fights |

And where do you think you'll be in 6 months now? 6 months into EVE I was completely clueless and was flying with people I had no business flying with. I managed to sweet talk my way into an old, high end PvP corporation called Millennium. It was run by this guy, Zzazzt, who was awesome, but he quit EVE a very long time ago. Some members of that corporation went on to become space famous in organizations like Mercenary Coalition, because Millennium had a reputation for turning out the best PvP pilots in the north (fighting ATUK hardened people up right quick... especially since we had to do everything...
because Phoenix was busy with important T1 hauler stuff.
Anyway, I sucked. Balls. Big balls. Big, juicy balls. I got Concorded for forgetting we were bouncing between 0.4 and 0.5... I lost a Rifter to a 60 man sniping battleship fleet because I warped all by my lonesome to the wrong gate... and my a Coercer of mine was exploded. But the Millennium guys were very cool and laughed it off and taught me how not to make an ass of my self.
In time, I did stop making an ass of myself, but I wouldn't have been able to do with without guidance.
6 months from now, I plan to have found a place for myself in a corporation that has all the elements that made some of the classic corps great, namely quality members and leadership, and I want to be excelling in the dedicated Logistics role. If I can do this, then I will have hit my targets for the next half year. |

I was running around with my first character in a Coercer ratting asteroid belts. Some guys started taking me on missions so i would salvage in a hurricane and that was when the big bucks started coming in.
I still remember training up my learning skills back then to max. So after getting the 11m SP from the learning skill nerf, i managed to clean up the character somewhat, but it would never be a focused toon. So i sold him and began again. much much wiser.

6 months in I was fighting to keep Delve out of the grubby little mitts of the CA.... having fleet battles of epic proportions with a maximum of what - 3500 people online at the same time?
A year and a half after that I was flying with M.Corp and kicking RA butt in Cache... go forward a few more years and we're still fighting RA and others whilst capturing and keeping Tenerifis safe for our brand new alliance LV.
Years after that turned to merc'ing and killing alliances - remember me Terran Alliance and B Plague!?
Now? Just returned after a looong break and wondering if anyone out there even knows who I am.

6 months in I was in a cute little corp called Operative Anonymous, or OSA. We had been in The Castle Alliance, a highsec alliance who was "friends" with Republic alliance, an NRDS group based in Great Wildlands. I was a director of OSA, no idea quite why, and we were trying to get back into a real alliance. |

I'm still three months away, but by then I'll have around two thirds of all my Int/Mem, Mem/Int, and Int/Per skills at levels 4 and 5. Nothing but running missions, mining, hauling, and learning to trade (which I actually look forward to).
Then comes the real fun. After this remap I'll do another, but it will be six months of Per/Wil and Wil/Per :D |

6 months into EVE I had recently left the first player corp that I actually participated with and made friends in. I had also just figured out that incursions were a really good source of isk (this was before they were nerfed). Then about 3 months later I joined a nullsec corp and (apart from a brief break) I'm still with them almost two years later. Latest video - Pandemic Legion titan and supers killed |

One of the great things about EVE is when you get busy in the real world, you can step back a bit, just working the queue as necessary, and not lose ground/be left behind. |

Six month in... well, I was roped into playing this game by my husband. They needed an industry person.. because they all refused to train anything that did not relate directly to combat. I had worked through the tutorals and earned enough for a bestower.. which I used to haul for an NPC corp--mate who had worked up to a covertor. We made good money helping each other ....I saved as much as I could. but duty called and I had to move.. and move and move. 'til finally after 6 months, we moved to null sec in the newly created drone region of deep space. We had worked our butts off to build up and build one of the first outposts in the area. 4 days after the outpost completion we were full on attacked by three alliances who teamed to dislodge us and take our new outpost.
It was an experiance I never forgot... friendships and grudges which I hold to this day. -á-á- remove the cloaked from local; free intel is the real problem, not-á "afk" cloaking-á-

6 months into EVE, in 2004:
I had just got done with mining for over a month in a thorax, and had built my first BS myself (one of the last in the corp to get one)
I then took this apoc--ofcourse, fitted with mining lasers, as this was 2004, and went to low sec to try mining there. Something i had never done, but seemed a reasonable thing to do (i was not in a corp known at the time for its pvp prowess). About 10 minutes into happily nomming on some jasper, a Raven landed next to me. Concerned, i tried to warp--and failed. A scorpion then landed, and the destruction of nearly the whole previous 6 months of personal effort was destroyed ... my drones managed to chew through 80% of the ravens armor before i finally popped. I was too stunned and crushed to warp out, and was promptly podded. I logged out, logged into eve-online.com, and unsubbed till march. about 6 months.
I also strated this character with 6k skillpoints... took eons to make it useful, because it was so hard to make isk at the time .... spent forever mining in my frigate. back then, you built up the mins to get a ship built, because there were still few on the market, and expensive too.
When i first joined, early 2004, ONE corpy had a BS--a dominix. We thought him a God.
My, how things have changed. |
