Point taken, I just wish there would be an option to not get these eve-scout sigs force feeded into my thera tab. I don-¦t like to rely on third parties that are public available. Sure when I visit these c5/c6 holes it happens frequently that people pop new sigs/collapse the connection but that-¦s no big deal. Thera on the other side is pure mess when you like to use it for fast travel, use your own sigs and do your own work. I mean I can-¦t even delete these stupid sigs or I am just too stupid and gave up too soon. |

Can you add a horizontal scroll bar to the chain? Thera connections are frequently so numerous that the right hand side of the chain is chopped off.

Unfortunately every time I jump in a new hole or paste a new sig, the collapsed Thera connection pops out again, I really dislike Thera being auto fed to Trip. Why would anyone want to have this is beyond me. |

Hi all, I will try to make some quick tweaks this week to make the chain map a bit easier to work with. * Adding an option as to if EVE-Scount Thera data should be included * Making it so you can click-drag to move map around
Also working on some bug fixes

Me and my mates are giving this a go after siggy. Looks good so far.
A question (Q) and a couple of suggestions (S) for Damian:
Q: How to mark a WH as a 'Frigate' sized one? It doesnt seem to color it 'orange' automatically and i cant seem to find an option to tag it as 'Frigate Sized'
S: Can you change the color of EOL/Critical from blue dash to red or hot pink dash? Its not as visible as it should be currently.
S: Can you add a field within 'Signatures' for 'Combat Site' please?
S: Is it possible to add functionality, which would allow a new tab to be added that only shows the systems and the chains, leading to a Combat Site system? (Like the Show all K-space connections tab, minus the Thera dump pls!)
Thanks and awesome work. |

OK so the bug didn't turn out to be an actual bug really...
if your auto-mapper doesn't work or causes duplicates... and/or the auto-follow doesn't change your viewing system....
#1 rule to follow... only turn on the auto-mapping ( A ) and auto-follow ( >> ) on one browser. This means if you have the IGB open but use say Chrome out of game.. don't turn them on in both.
Otherwise both browser might do things at the same time and the server is left to sort out things and the browsers don't reflect/update correctly until a page refresh.

Fill in the (non-K162) Type, it should color automatically. |

For some reason new WH tiles are now being added on the left hand side. Is this intentional? Why this change? This makes it very difficult to manage bookmarks. Please look at below screenshot. Null WH is the newest and should be on the most right, right? http://i.imgur.com/yH3xhKz.png |

@Sonny Well the only change I can think of that could have any affect on how the signatures are stored was changing the signature MySQL table from InnoDB to MYISAM to improve performance.
I am curious as to why new systems appearing on the right to left have any affect on how you bookmark your wormholes?
Also for your database techies out there, the signatures table was originally MYISAM and switched to InnoDB about 4-6 months ago in favor of performance improvements - doesn't seem the table benefits from the InnoDB engine.

It does affect us greatly to the point of TW being very difficult to use. Let's assume we have 2 C3 wormholes and 3rd (also C3) spawns. First 2 WHs were BM'd as 31 and 32, 3rd would be 33. We always count from left to right which seems obvious. Now we would have to rename 31 to 32, 32 to 33 and add the newest as 31? This makes no sense at all. You cannot rely on TS auto numbering system either so we do it manually. You can replace 31, 32, 33 with C3-1, C3-2, C3-3 etc. Another example: I scan a WH, sort probe scanner alphabetically and paste multiple sigs, warp in this particular order to each WH, save BMs and update TW. I can't do this anymore, need to pay extra attention which sig is which WH, since I cannot trust that the order in TW matches the order of my probe scanner.
As I said before I love the idea of TW but lack of consistency is its weakest point. It's almost like every little upgrade brings more annoying than useful features. For instance adding tabs made TW more cumbersome to use for all people starting their chains in lowsec rather than in home WH. BTW have you tried to drag a tab on a tablet? I find it impossible on Samsung Galaxy Pro 12.2.
Don't want to get into most annoying of them all: THERA chains.
Sometimes more doesn't mean better.

OK that makes sense, there are just so many different ways people do their wormhole bookmarking it is hard to even hear about them let alone know them all.
Sorry that an update broke the way you use Tripwire - I will gladly work with you to remedy this as soon as possible, I'm always trying to provide a bug free stable experience but that isn't always possible. Keep in mind I don't have a testing/bug finding group to fully go through every release, I try to announce when coming changes are on Galileo (like SiSi) so that people can test it and give me last minute feedback before I push the changes live.
I have changed the signature table back to InnoDB, let me know if that had an effect on the problem.
Also I'm always open to talk about how to improve/fix things, feel free to share your thoughts on how to improve kspace source wormhole scanning.

Personally, I really enjoy the tab feature; it allows me to keep track of multiple separate wormholes and their chains at once. It is a bit of a pain to keep track of what tabs the corp is currently using, especially if they start in kspace, of course - but I still wouldn't want to go back to without tabs. Hopefully in the future there is a way to see what "roots" corp members on the corp mask are using and an ability to open them for yourself.
Thanks for all your work, Daimian. |

Thanks Daimian. All is back to "normal" now :D. I fully understand this is kind of "hobby" project for you and you give it away for free to Eve community. And I really appreciate your work.
IMHO the biggest improvement would be ability to change not visited WH labels. That would make bookmarking much easier to read. For now an EoL K162 which I don't want to jump through remains unknown for TW, even though most of us can recognize the class from outside. But there is no way to share this info in TW.
Not really sure how to improve k-space chains. Frankly it kinda worked better (for us) before tabs were introduced. Now TW requires an extra click every time you jump to next system. Also your corp-mates have to have exactly the same tab added, otherwise they cannot access these chains. I ended up having permanently 2 rows of (20+) tabs.

@Sonny Interesting the database engine makes that kind of difference, I am going to look into this more.
I am working on an update that will allow you to change the name of any system (even ones that have no "Leads To").
Have you tried using the chain tab option "K-Space"? It is for showing all chains that have an active kspace entrance. Also with the new ability to exclude EVE-Scout's Thera chain, it is a little bit better now.

It is easier to read than it used to.
Couple of issues:
There are still duplicates with no WH connections taking valuable space, forcing more awkward horizontal scrolling. Would it be possible to remove those?
Second row of tabs overlaps the tiles.

@Sonny I will see what I can do about the duplicates and such
I am not sure what I can do about the second tab row - HTML is still very limiting with advanced UI designs which is made even worse when I have to make everything work with the IGB (which is Chrome 3 BTW)
Also looking into the chain map ordering with placing newer wormholes on the right is actually still not working consistently - I can fix this by also ordering wormholes, can you confirm this?
Also creating tickets helps me keep organized with what needs done and not overlooking bugs. https://bitbucket.org/daimian/tripwire/issues

@Hidden I actually don't like drop down menus ... can't explain why.. I just tend to avoid them if possible
@Sonny Strange, might be a version different between the Tripwire MySQL server and the on I use locally then. I will put in the ORDER BY anyways just to make sure it doesn't happen again either way.
Also I am planning to retire the Tripwire forums in favor of setting up a WIKI instead - are there some ppl willing to help built it up with info on how to use Tripwire?

Is there a reason that you are using MySQL instead of PostgreSQL? I don't know what backend you are using and if a migration is feasible for you at this point with the amount of production data involved, but from everything I've heard, Postgres is more SQL standards compliant and robust than MySQL. I've also run into issues with ORDER BY on MySQL acting oddly when paired with, say, calculated model properties in Django. Also MySQL can't do DISTINCT ON queries, which is enough for me to avoid it. personally.

I've worked with PostgreSQL and much prefer MySQL and the performance is very dependent on what your doing for either. Also MySQL is an Oracle product, not a bad company. Do you feel Tripwire is not performing well?
Also I will get the Wiki setup tonight and get in touch with you.. I really want to get it going and get thing documented.
