my friends and I started a conversion about our favorite looking ships in the game and thought I would post the question to the other players. And if you feel like it what was the first ship that made you go WoW ? Any thought it would be fun to see what people liked
Mine so far is the Horder---Just love my hauler with all those engines

I absolutely love the Armageddons look, and in that same vein the Bhaalgorn. I sure hope the t2 geddon looks even better.

Thorax is my favourite ship to fly, nothing is hotter than MWD'ing up to a target and blasting it with antimatter
Its an added bonus that it looks sleek and sexy.

Well i like the Ashimmu design its very sexy, the Thorax has some very sleek looks if you look at it properly, the Thrasher/Sabre look very cool aswell, if i had to go with one of the above it would be the Ashimmu :)

Think the Thorax is the best looking but i've never flown one myself. Best battleship would have to be the Armageddon. Always looks amazing to me but never gives that "Scary" look.

my wolf and muninn look very scary with weapons fully mounted. gunships 4tw. one time I literally took about 30 screens of my wolf with guns just cause it looked so ****in cool!

Must say Vulture and Nighthawk look very nice, especially the Vulture.
As I am an Amarr only gal though, the Navy Apocalypse and Blood Raider Prophecy holds a special place in my heart.
They really should release faction battlecruisers. I am very sure the collectors would love it.

I remember when i was a newb on the trial back in 2004. I was sitting there mining, when a corpmate of my friend pulled up above me in a megathron.
I loved the dark look and the shape of the ship.

The Coercer and Heretic also look great, amost as good as the Crusader.

Got to give love to my most recent Geddon 'Pillar of Autumn', also to my vengeace (which is soo prettier than the carthum peice o crap). Ashimmu is the sexiest of all ships everm, though I'd like to see one without all the blood, maybe after it's been washed and waxed

The cormorant/flycatcher.
Sleeker than a ferox but still has that look of "I pwn all". Its a damn sexy ship.
Thorax looks like a sex toy. Megathron just makes me think of optimus prime.

Ok, so ...
Scariest looking ships
1 Raven ... that thing gives me the shivers up close from the stench of death by a murderous stack of cruise missiles
2 Armageddon ... for the sinking feeling when you know you're going to get megapulse II'd right where the sun don't shine
3 Deimos ... the camo reeks of 'predator' and the rather nasty sight of one MWDing towards me is rather worrying.
Favourite ships
1 Brutix - Hulking steroid filled armoured cathedral looks for the win (or not, as the case often is)
2 Megathron - Someone said it reminds them of Optimus Prime. I rather think it looks a little like Soundwave, Megatron's faithful, but personalityless sidekick [but still an awsome transformer, even if he did turn into a casette based walkman]
3 Ishkur - the glowing twin pod 'thingies' at the front give it a cybertron / knight rider look [but in green]
Leat favourite ships
1 Celestis - The flying lobster meets road accident
2 Dominix - Millions of years of evolution of the spermatoza produces ... the blob of death
3 Moa - Sort of the 'Chicken Missile' of the EVE universe
I love loads of the ship designs apart from these, but I'm going to mention the Catalyst for reminding me of the millenium falcon after being stretched ...

My favorite ship is a vengeance. Its total crap, and i hardly ever got to fly one becsaue nobody will let me bring it on StateOps, but given half a chance i'll take one for a spin.

For looks and lvl3 mission pwnage, i love the typhoon most of all. It has the looks of a battlestar, more than the other battleships. And drones, guns AND missiles, what more can a captain want out of his ship?
Second place goes to the zealot, just for looks, and third place to the trasher, for same reason (tho running lvl1 missions with it shure was fun)

I think it looks like a VW Beetle with a jousting lance....yeah that's it, it's for jousting. 
I'm really attached to mine; I've had a lot of fun with it.
Just got my first Thorax and I have to say I like it the best. I do think the Apocalyse is cool looking too.
Oh yes, and hi, I'm new. Been playing for about 3 weeks and having fun.

Heron - not a very useful frigate but it just looks so cool.
Raven - as others have said, this ship looks like a killer. It's got built-in menace.
Megathron - Has anyone seen Star Blazers? Can I mount a Wave Motion Gun in this bad boy?
Amarr Navy Slicer - this is the most bad-ass looking hot rod mankind has ever seen. All the sleek lines of an Executioner (and then some) while still tougher than a Punisher.

The Vigil has a great design. It's very compact & it make you feel like you are in a ship designed for space exploration jobs... but then someone has decided to put a #$#%! dish with icepike-like antena on it's T2 version... and Cheetah looks just stupid (the worst is there are not many camera angles that can hide that 'antena')
Typhoon - just great! you feel it's heaviness & power
Hoarder - quite cool. reminds me of the first Alien movie (don't know really why, probably the feeling of a quite sturdy, not sofisticated but capable ship)

I saw a couple of early EVE movies with those, the week before I started playing, and it looked so elegant, and it owned so much.
Shame I'm actually rubbish at flying them. I mean T2 jamming 4tw but where did my damage go?

I have to admit being fond of the Thorax. There's a certain psychotic glee in MWDing to point blank range and shoving anti-matter down their throat with blasters. Sure, it's nearly suicidal (I'm on Thorax #6), but that's half the fun.

I like symmetrical ships, so I like the Merlin (and its variants, esp the Harpy) and the Caracal (and it's variants). I hope the T3 BS for Caldari, if there will be one, is symmetrical.
However, I really like the way the Incursus (and its variants) look. Almost enough to quit flying Caldari... nah. |

I love the way the rupture looks from behind.
I hope CCP puts a sail of two on its top deck when the new ship models come out (ala the big sail on the tempest).
It already looks like a 18th century frigate from the back, it just needs a few masts and solar sails to complete the look.
My rupture may never be as capable as t2 cruisers are, but it will always be my favorite ship, just because of its looks.

1) Ferox. Metal where I expect it to be and a perfect engineering design which makes your eyes bleed.
2) Taranis. Superhightech alloys glimmering in the light of the solarsystem¦s central star, smooth sexy curves and still bad ass looking.
3) Harpy. Dunno, just looks awesome :)
4) Enyo. Compact, smooth, sophisticated, showing its turrets with some understatement. Great.
Additionally, these are the ships I fly permanently, but technically the Enyo is my alltime favorite, followed by Harpy, Taranis and Ferox.

Cyclone is my fav, something about those weird solar panels in front just looks cool.

I love the Prophecy class, I'm usually in mine more than any other - gotta skill up for a Damnation tho
I also like the Malediction a lot - Khanid ships look better than their Carthum versions IMO.
But I think ultimately I will always have a soft spot for the Tristan - you gotta love that shape!

The ship that made me want to play was the Wolf.
I started training to be able to pilot one and the I discovered the Thrasher and the Rupture and the Cyclone and the Thorax and the Brutix abd the Ferrox and the Cormorant and the 'Geddon and... I think I like a lot of them.
The Megathron will always have a special place for me but only because it looks sooooo much like a Macross battle station. Just imagine it in blue, red and white. You can see the Valkiries flying out of it before it transforms for some OMGWTFPWNBBQ from the abyss!!!!1!1!11!!!1!
