please correct me if wrong..
1) Why do the race with the fastest ships get guns with the slowest tracking?
2) Why don't the ships that have a speed bonus to make them go even faster not get a tracking bonus?
3) Why are the close-range guns with the lowest DPS designed to be used at their falloff range, reducing their already low DPS even further (almost by half)?
4) Why do large artillery have a bigger alpha strike on an Apocalypse than on a Tempest?
5) Why do medium artillery have a bigger alpha strike on both the Prophecy and Brutix than on the Cyclone?
6) Why do medium artillery have the same alpha strike on both the Cyclone and Ferox?
7) Why do medium artillery have an equal alpha strike on the Rupture, Thorax and Maller?
8) Why do medium artillery have a bigger alpha strike on the Thorax and Maller compared to the Stabber?
9) Why do medium artillery have the same alpha strike on both the Stabber and Moa?
10) Why do the guns with the fastest rate of fire (autocannons) have the lowest ammo capacity, causing them to reload more often than usual and as a result lose even more DPS?
11) Why were the race with the lowest hitpoints given the lowest DPS guns?
12) Why do the Minmatar combat ships have some of the smallest cargo sizes, yet they use the most ammunition?
13) Why is there no t2 autocannon ammo that does either Thermal or EM damage?
14) Why does Hail have more penalties than other t2 close-range ammo?
15) Why do top-tier autocannons do almost identical DPS to the middle-tier, an issue that no other guns have?
16) Why is it that even after you have maxed out 3 skill trees to get the most damage out of the Typhoon (projectiles, missiles and drones) and fit Dual 425mm AC IIs, Siege Launcher IIs and T2 drones, you are still out damaged by a Dominix with 6 Dual 250mm Railgun IIs and T2 drones? Fit an electron blaster setup on the Dominix and the Typhoon ends up even further behind.
17) Why do some cruiser autocannons use cap (and surprise surprise, that includes the T2 ones)?
18) Why do 1400mm II have just under double the rate of fire of 425mm Railgun IIs, yet they only hold 1/4 of the ammo?
19) Why do the close-range guns that use the least amount of ammo (blasters) have the highest capacity, as opposed to autocannons which use the most amount of ammo and have the smallest ammo capacity?
20) Why is Minmatar the only race without a defensive form of electronic warfare? Caldari have ECM (ships can't lock), Gallente have sensor dampers (much reduced lock range and far slower targeting speed), Amarr have tracking disruptors (muched reduced optimal range and tracking), and Minmatar have target painting (makes the enemy's signature radius larger. LOL YOU'RE REALLY GOING TO SHUT DOWN A SHIP WITH THAT).
21) If Minmatar ships are supposed to avoid taking damage through their smaller signature radius, why do the Amarr gank ships often have a lower-than-average signature radius too?
22) Why do the Minmatar carriers have the worst bonuses out of all 8?
23) Why can the Caldari sniping HAC (Eagle) fit a full rack of it's best guns, a gank setup and a full tank (250mm Railgun II x 4, Heavy Launcher II x 2, Medium Shield Booster II x 1, Boost Amp x 1, EM Hardener II x 1, Magfield II x 3, BCU II x 1, Sensor Booster II x 2) without a single fitting module, while the Minmatar sniping HAC (Muninn) needs one RCU just to fit all of it's best guns (not even including the 2 launcher slots), and two RCUs in order to fit a medium armour repairer in too?
24) Why are low-tier artillery completely useless?
25) Why do Minmatar, a race who's main weapons systems are supposed to be projectiles and missiles, not have a single dedicated missile ship besides the stealth bomber and missile frigate?
26) Why were Minmatar given so many missile hardpoints yet no bonus to missiles (besides the Huginn, Rapier and the ships in point 25)?
27) Why do Minmatar Recon Ships only get a single bonus 5% rof bonus to their weapon systems?

1) 2) Projectile tracking is odd. I would have thought the type of gun we use would have the best tracking. After all, the tracking RP is about the guns ability to physically follow a target on a field, not the ammo or etc. Call it spray and pray =). The accuracy loss is already shown in the optimal/falloff, with a short accurate range but good effective range (since shells unlike lasers and plasma blobs do not degrade with range). Arties however I think deserve the worst tracking.
3) 11) I still think this is better made up for with better falloff, than a ROF/damage mod increase.
10) 12) 18) 19) The kind of guns they are fits the high ammo use, and I guess to an extent large/heavy shells. However on the arties and top-tier autos there are some issues, especially arties.
13) 14) You know they really aren't too bad. Barrage is great. Falloff bonus, fantastic. Hail... pretty good too but not on the level of Barrage IMO. Speed penalty is a big turnoff. Of course these are both pointless against caldari, who we already have the most trouble against.
25) 26) I wish there was more discussion about this too. However until something is done about nos, no matter what happens people will use that.

Oh and you forgot one: 28) Why do most of the ships lend themselves to Armor tanks when the Minmatar's base resists are best on shield tanks?
Edit: Before anyone brings it up- Notable exceptions are the Cyclone and both Command ships
Also, shield tanks don't interfere with *Speed* and *firepower* like an armor tank does. The two things Minnie ships are supposed to be designed for.

Shield tanks do effect firepower when you have such crap resources to fit them with. Example being an AC tempest. If you fit 6x 650 AC, 2x heavy nos, XL boost, 2 hardeners, AB, Web/Scram even with max skills you now have 20 cpu to fit 6 low slots. And you NEED 3 gyros to even consider competeing against close range BS.
And that tank sucks. A lot.

30) The overview stretches another 2-inches across the screen to manage target size/velocity/transverse with little bonus+benefit to all the extra management needed to hit the target. Starting to feel like a MUD, overview blocked graphics FTL!! (at least the overview is semi-transparent)
31)Projectile damage isn't enough above missles/hybrid/lasers to warrant the added headache to manage.
Minmatar ships that get alot of respect- Claw and Vagabond Both ships get bonuses that over come the shortfalls of using Projectile weapons.
Vaga- speed bonus(total control of engagement velocity/transverse, not dictated by opponent) Claw- tracking bonus that adds to the high tracking small AC already have. High speed orbit FTW!

1 280 Arty 2 = 15.875 DPS on 0 resists with EMP 1 75mm rail 2 = 18.245 DPS on 0 resists with AM 1 150mm rail 2 = 20.463 DPS on 0 resists with AM 1 125mm auto 2 = 19.931 DPS on 0 resists with EMP This is max skills, no ship bonus. Just the guns and ammo damage.

raw damage with no damage mods, the megathron does approx 100dps more than the tempest. however, past 12km the tempest ends up doing more damage as it has a far higher falloff.
if you fit both ships with t2 siege launchers in their remaining highs, the tempest out-damages the mega from about 9km onwards. remove the launchers and add drones and the tempest only out-damages the thron between about 15km to 28km. now if they had both siege launchers and drones, the tempest will out-damage the mega between 13km and 32km.
tbh that seems perfectly fair. blasterthron owns at extreme close-ranges, tempest in the mid-range, and blasterthron again at the long-range due it having more drones.

yes, the optimal range bonus is going to become a missile one. however, seeing as it hasn't made it in yet (and still might not), I'm not counting it

Would you rather have the best DPS but not the alpha strike? And give the alpha strike to, lets say Amarr? Which then shoot your low hp ships with big alpha strike? Bad idea!

In addition to that equal alpha strike, the rupture can fire 2 heavy missiles. And will be able to strike for the 2nd time faster because of the bonus. Don't see anything wrong there.

The stabber is a tier lower but still has 6 weapon slots. Neither Omen, Caracal nor Vexor have that (with vexor being different cause it has drones).

edit: regarding the cap issues, ccp have said that it's being looked at :)
I'm talking about gun, not guns. 1 dual 650 t2 does more dmg than 1 ion blaster. Only about 2% more, but still ... so much about most damaging guns out there. (barrage vs null or void vs hail, emp < am though(dps wise, else emp > am:P ))

As for comparing gun vs gun, you yourself have stated in the past that this is a bad way of doing things as you need to take into account all aspects (which is why I used full rack of guns + drones +- missiles).
As for a single turret barrage doing more damage than null, that is because for some reason ccp gave null 44 damage instead of 48. as for hail, don't forget that a tempest gets a 0.531441 speed modifier with it fitted :/

Please enlighten me since you obviously fly this ship.... how exactly did you fit those two heavies on it when it has a full rack of 720mm IIs?
I mean I suppose it only requires 3 Reactor control units...there nothing else that could possibly be of use in making the guns more damaging that I could fit in those 3 low slots is there?

As for comparing gun vs gun, you yourself have stated in the past that this is a bad way of doing things as you need to take into account all aspects (which is why I used full rack of guns + drones +- missiles).
As for a single turret barrage doing more damage than null, that is because for some reason ccp gave null 44 damage instead of 48. as for hail, don't forget that a tempest gets a 0.531441 speed modifier with it fitted :/
Also you need to take into account the much smaller magazine size on minmat guns. We will be reloading well before that Blaster needs it. The Blaster has almost a 60% higher damage modifier on it, but this is somewhat tempered by the faster AC Rate of Fire. the small magzine size hits us again meaning more-less damaging shots and extra reload time.
