I'm mostly flying around in Logistics ships and I think it's boring when there are blue/green/yellow beams coming out of your ship and not from an actual model that is visible on your hull.
I would like CCP to add ingame models for mods like Remote Armor Repair, Remote Shield Transport or Remote Cap Transfer.
I'm not sure but I think the Tractor Beam doesn't have a model either.
I can't think of any downside to this proposal except for the fact that dhe Art department would have some extra work to do. 
What are your opinions?

YES! I was thinking about this the other day actually, smartbombs, maybe an antenna or something for the auto-targeting mod.
Would be pretty cool to be able to see what someone has in utility highs. Tell me again about how every playstyle you dont engage in "doesn't require any effort" and everyone who does it needs to die in a fire. Be sure to mention about how you tried it once but it was too easy/boring/ethnic-homophobic slur.-á |

Just curious, when you say visual affect I think of the "affects" that all ready come from my logi and combat ships. Are you meaning that there should be a logi, neut, nos, ext... hardpoint that the affects come out of? If so do all the ships have enough model hardpoints to support these? Just like every turret or missile launcher is visible on your ship I would like to see my (or my enemys) Neuts/Reps/etc on their ship |

Yes. More intelligence for those willing to spend the time looking. More models coming out of the hulls of the ships. Something that can be added slowly as the art department has time. The only issue is that CCP's ship models would have to have new spots added for those utility high modules. Again it could be part of a long term project so might as well start. |

I'm pretty sure they said they were planning to do this when they first updated the ones we got right now, however that was quite some time ago by now.

I dont agree every modul should be visible as someone suggested (power cores, plates, shield boosters,... theese all can and should be hidden) but surely, every mod that interacts with outside of ship (remote reps, probe launchers,...) should be visible...
ps. I like those *push* posts, reminds me station trade war  |

I personally think leave it to the art dep, but yeah they should be visually distinguishable For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... I support this idea, I would love to see the drone control mods, neuts and nosferatu, cynosural field, remote repair, remote sensor boosting, and other high-slot modules have their own models that I could look at when flying my ship.
A Guardian with a full rack of cranes or whatever would look neat. |
