Edited by: Jublie on 29/04/2006 16:41:08 Edited by: Jublie on 29/04/2006 16:40:28 This spreadsheet will allow you to calculate how long individual skills will take you to train, set a goal for all your skills, and give you a total time until you reach your goal. The sheet takes into account all of your info once you enter your base attributes from your character, and the current amount of skill points you have invested in each skill. For most users of Excel, it even has an auto-update feature that will pull in your information from the XML provided by CCP on your on-line character sheet.
Last Update: April 28, 2006 Microsoft Excel EMDv1405.zip OpenOffice.org EMDv1405.zip My webpage: www.troiess.com
Some of the things you will find on the spreadsheet are * A skills tracking spreadsheet and monitor * A skills description spreadsheet with skill requirements * A skillset Graph giving you the big picture including Distribution, Attributes, etc. * A skillset summary with non-graphical information on the skillset graph * An ore Yields calculator by Histracko * An ice yields calculator by Histracko * A basic production calculator for mining by Histracko * A ships information page (that will show you what ships you can use based on skills) * A skill guide by Hardin * Very basic instructions on how to use the sheet * My contact informaion * An XML Data Interface page

Got a question for ya. What's the port the macro uses to update? It doesn't want to work behind my gateway at home here...

I'm not sure how Excel connects to the internet, it is something we'll have to look up.

It uses port 80, it's just getting the xml from this web server, which runs on port 80. I think you have to set your excel macro security to low for excel to access the net.
If you can't get it to work over the net, go to your character page and right-click, save as on the xml data link, then use the import xml button in the sheet to load it from your local drive.
Hope that helps.

Yay! Thanks for clearing that up.

I don't suppose you have any links to those skills? I would assume they are like the other encryption methods skills.

Excellent spreadsheet! Thanks. I did find an error I thought to let you know about. Cells D65 and D66 on the Skill description page need to be corrected. Sequence is out of order and should be 76 and 77 instead of 77 and 76.
Keep up the good work and WHEN WILL THIS BE STICKIED!!!??

Fixed in version 14.06!
Updates include:
- Fixed fill-down formulas including several on Skill Descriptions sheet.
- Updated cargo size for Providence ships.
- Updated required skills for most skills.
- Updated ice types on Ice Yields and Mining Production sheets.
- Updated Bonus sheet! It is almost done

After the Bonus sheet is done I want to replace the Ice/Ore mining sheets with something much more interactive and indepth. In my spare time I'll try to add the faction/elite ships to the ships sheet.

No offense, but shouldn't a boatload of thanks go to Lachenlaud, because this is essentially an update of his work?

Edited by: Standing Bear on 16/05/2006 13:33:10 Jubile has maintained the credit links and information to the original creator who started and others who have updated this program.
Her improvements to the original are greatly appreciated and I hope she continues her efforts here for a long time!

Lachenlaud and AnnaJoy both did a wonderful job and they should not be forgotten. I'll add a Credits section in the next update to include those who have donated their time!

I was planning on a few updates for the skills sheet to include your character bloodline, wallet balance, corp and even your implant names. I'll add some conditional formatting to make the current skill in training more visible too. As for clock to show when a skill will complete is a bit tricky, but I'll see what I can do :)
Oh, I'm still working on that split skill training. I have a few more things to add before I let you test it :)

Originally by: Jublie Masakaa and Hopka, can you both check and see if you have msxml3.dll and comdlg32.dll? I think you may be missing one of those files.
When using the Import-XML button, I had this same problem. "Compile error: Can't find project or library" in Ln 303 Col 75 of the modXML_Importer. I thought this was odd since I just reinstalled windows and office a few weeks ago and v1401 worked last April. However all is well.. Downloading and registering comdlg32.ocx from the instructions here fixed this problem.
The link you provided in your quoted text to comdlg32.ocx (named .dll in the url?) gave me the error ""C:\WINDOWS\System32\comdlg32.ocx" is not an executable file and no registration helper is registered for this file type." when RegSvr32 tried to register it. Your file downloads as 22k and the one that worked is 194k (file version 6.00.8877).
Thanks a lot for your continued support and development of this spreadsheet, and thanks to everyone who have also contributed their time and effort!!

After version 14.02, I think, EMD did not require comdlg32.ocx! Yet, every time I remove it from the VBA project it shows up a week later! In VBA, you can click on Tools -> References and remove any missing libraries. That should fix it the Compile Errors.
