val told me sisi is on one server and cluster and tq is on a diff server and cluster

Still down till after the upgrades? i see 2 people online on Sisi but i assume they are Dev's or something and when i try to login i get "Incorrect username and password".

Can you all read? And I do apoloigise if you posted before the updated title post was made.
But, th server disk failed AGAIN, and only information from the internal server is on Sisi, so only the Dev's can log in. No Player accounts are on Sisi, hence the "Incorect username or password".

yup and before there are masses of posts to this thread whining, please note that we want people on there testing during TQ's DT. it's good to have loads of people on there but it really isn't possible in anyway to get a mirror of tq onto sisi at this time. it will be possible after the hardware upgrade, which means (if everything goes well) sisi will be back online tomorrow with the TQ mirror

So does this mean that we will have some nice pop-ups maybe 30 min before shut down saying something like

much like the popups with the "invaders" server when TQ was being pumped two months ago or so? I personaly think that a pop up like above would really help get some load testing done during the 1 hour DT . even moreso if you put " 100 Isk titans..... AND YOU CAN FLY THEM!" but that might defeat the purpose abit 
PS Thanks for getting sisi back together finally I hope the time it spent a serenity was all for the better.

no the frigs update hasnt been put in yet i assume those updates will come in the next few builds over the next 1-3 weeks as well sa other testing features.
A few months back it was stealth modules (active modules that reduced youre sig radius) a bit like an anti sensor booster module - those were cool but never made it into TQ. (got shelved)

Dont think so :O) the reason for the massive server need is purely cuz of the clients, so on could proberly run a single server at home on a dually something, the real problem is with the dba, as that is kinda heavy, but dont know tbh, but thats my guess anyway ;o)

No patch notes are almost always not released du e to the fact that SiSi can be updated multiple times a day, sometimes even multiple times an hour if things are pretty bad. This would mean an almost full time job for some to update the notes.

Dev's have been known to run EVE (server + client) of their laptops.
I've seen it  (before shiva however, but doubt it would change much)
If I recall, theres even an 'option' to run the server in either cluster mode or non cluster mode.
The cluster mode is not good for the laptop though

If its a real business, someone will be making full notes on what they do, whether they have time to do a simplified version for the public is another matter..
But.. as the whole purpose of a test server is to test changes, not making public those changes, does mean its going to be hard to get people to test those very things you just changed..

Maybe problem is, all power of CCP on the china server? All have to be in time, and time are tide...
My expirience back about games: if I want something very much, and i had to wait that for ages, interest of it goes down pretty quick...
Week ago i was so excited about SISI, now i'm calmed about it, week later, who know???
My example is not only my example as a person, this is a psihological factor, u guys have to deal with...
Don't be late with SiSi if you really wanna testing something with huge quantity of pilot's... leave all excuses and do what u've to do: bring test server up...

SiSi is down Because of :-
<Valar|AFK> the issue is that before the TQ upgrade we dropped loads of indexes to have enough room in case the DB grew when we attached it to SQL Server 2005
<Valar|AFK> so the mirror doesn't have any of the indexes
<Valar|AFK> meaning its slow as hell
<Valar|AFK> probably takes 2-3 hours to rebuild the indexes... maybe more, since the disks on Sisi are slower then TQ.

Ok I patched my Eve game after i dubt it... and is game me the message: Unable to conect to 87.237.38.50 on port 26000 is this normal have I done something wrong in the patching or is this a server side problem?

Yes its normal, SiSi is offline alot.
And they had a harddrive crash and lots off stuff was lost apperantly. So it won't be up in a while.
And please read the posts here as this information is all over the place.

As an alternatve: do you mind to change drop off low security NPC's?

I cant seem to log on, it says that my account has expired
I can log on to tranq with no problems
When is the mirror from? Is it posible that it was made on the day my account expired.

When i started to use sisi during the downtime in my
early time of eve i got pretty frustrated since i could
not find any notes what to test and give feedback on
so finaly i gave up the devserver totaly. Now im sitting
in Thailand and the raining season ahead so it would
be nice to try spend some time there and give some feed
back in the area im normaly do in eve so my question are
quite simple:
Where can i find info what to test in each patch so
i know what to test and give feed back ? Where should
i post the tested result ? I really hope for some good
answer since i really do want to spend time with it
and try contribute - i guess we all want Kali yesterday.

People have said many times faction stuff will not be released, as sisi is not for your pleasure but for testing. And why do you need a navy raven to test the new patches?

Before I'll answer you, tell me please, what is a testing by your view? Specially testing with no patch notes for an idea what we have to concentrate for.
Without pleasure I'm not gonna test anything, and my pleasure not to be in a corp, alliance or gang... I prefer to be able to do most things by myself. And doing: missions, cosmos, rats in low by my view are the part of testing as well... As it is, i can do all those things on the TQ, but if I'll have more pleasure here than there (read: named stuff) I'll be a part of test group.
Any other question's?

Well since ages I'm unable to login to sisi... reason always the same..
"Incorrect login name or password"
I use the same one as I have on tq - shall work... but does not.
Any ideas?
(Yes I wrote support... in short... I've been "supported" like never... I received info that sisi has another database than tq and it has mirrors done from time to time, nice they wrote me what I wrote in question sent to supp...)

Followed instructions to get on the test server, was on for several hours yesterday, tried to connect again today and i get this:
There was an unexpected error while retrieving patch status:
A patch file for your build number is not available.
You will have to patch manually.
Would you like to attempt to download the patch manually?
I click okay, and get:

Here you can download patches for manual patching, if for some reason autopatching fails.
To manually apply a patch you will need to download the patch from below and save it to a local folder. Launch the EXE file from that folder. If a file-open dialog appears then locate EVE on your hard drive.
If you experience any problems then do not hesitate to contact support on http://support.eve-online.com
We were unable to locate a patchfile for your build no. (3906).
You should duplicate your primary installation folder again before patching.
Go to the Test Patches page for more details

The patch is up there now... but you can always try building the link yourself and see if the patch is there...
http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/test/evepatchxxxx-xxxx_test.exe
Replace the first 4 x's with your current version (ex. 3906) then the 2nd set of x's with the new version (ex. 3908)
So try a link like http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/test/evepatch3906-3908_test.exe for today's patch

at the time of this post sisi is running build 3908. it seems stable. there is no reason why people can't connect. patch site is working and has the correct patches listed. i don't think we will see another patch on sisi this week or weekend, so should be able to get plenty of testing in the next few days and over the weekend.
closing this thread now, will start a cleaner thread over the next few days.
