Edited by: Bach on 14/05/2006 15:28:05 To those ISS players we conversed with in the past week or so to reach a resolution to our conflict you have our respect and well earned thank you. Eve is far from a game where players simply shoot each other, mine and build corporate tycoons or exlpore missons and strange new worlds. Its all of these at the same time. A living community of possibilities and personalities each different from the next and not bounded by anything less than a players imagination. The political aspect of the game is just as important as any DN ever flown or outpost estabilshed.
Though the mothers day weekend took me away from most of the action, both political and pvp, I was very glad to review the end results and find that they very much matched everything we had been discussing since last weekend.
For those of you wondering, there was no huge monetary settlements or anythingof that nature. Just smart common ground issues that benefit both sides and with long term developement potential for the area.
For the CC this has never been about isk its always been about recognition. CC is a small and relatively new alliance. Many have joked that we don't matter. They say we're too small or too weak. They say we live in NPC station that we hide in them all the time. We did not beat the juggernaught called the ISS. That did not happen. But together with our brothers/sisters in the CDC we made it stop and pause. No big alliance helped us, no mercs were hired. It was just us. We earned they're respect and that was worth every isk we put into it.
To all ISS I'll be looking forward to our new possibilities and adventures as NAP'd friends.
Thankyou again and good travels to you all on a much shorter route to empire.

I've spoken to various members of Curse Coalition on several occasions prior to this. It's been a source of regret that we ended up in conflict. I'm very glad that we could reach some kind of resolution. -- We are recruiting

Got to hand it to CC/CDC... I only engaged a couple pilots, but those I did I a huge amount have respect for.
I'm glad to be able to fly beside them now.

I would simply like to congratulate CC/CDC and ISS on reaching a mutually beneficial agreement. We look forward with interest to see how things develop in the future, and hope this means a more open and prosperous northern Curse.
And yes, I am forever an optimist

So is one to assume negotiations are ongoing between CC/CDC & the IAC? given that CC are all peaceful and sweet an all, and their reason for hostilities (ISS) has been resolved.

is there a reason i shouldn't care? this is afterall a public forum :)
it rather seems to me that CC realised they bit off more than they could chew, and hastily made peace with the larger of their problems, in order to concentrate on IAC/JF.
interesting that ISS would go for an agreement that doesn't include their friends IAC, who have stuck by them.

Well, ISS are by definition neutral. They can't insist that NAP's that rely on the NAP-er being friends with a third party, it goes against the prinicpals on which ISS where founded. ------------------ I'm a pilot in transition |

Well....this i have to say.
ISS have made a crap move in (to put it blunt) siding with CDC/CC in a way while we have supported them in the past and helped them out no end as they seem unable to do it for themselves..what we got in return...uuuh....nothing. Butter dog i think you not being in ISS anymore is a freaking good thing. Partly due to the fact that when your area was under siege you convod me for advice?? And these rules....IAC may not engage war targets in your space? what a load of bull. as i said before our interests should be put first not CDC. They should not have a easy access to a base of ops closer to our area. You guys gotta sory out your priorities and your loyalties before you have no friends left.
These views are MY OWN and in NO WAY reflect the views of Firma or the IAC.

I got most of this from reading GALNet and could probably give links to each line. But it would be too boring to do it.

Thats complete BS, Gus. What are you talking about?
I didn't convo anyone from IAC when ZX was seiged. In fact, someone from IAC convo'd me and I had to close the convo due to being involved in a fight with some Empire war targets.
ISS havent sided with anyone though, they are still blue to IAC and they are now blue to CC/CDC. Thats the nature of the beast.
