why choose amarr race? how many reasons a player got to choose amarr race?
iI will tell you: 0, yes 0! (ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
why 0 you ask? easy question: amarr once was good now they suck and suck and suck. they suck because of CCP patching all races up and up and up, changing their damage modus, theitr damage bonuses and their ability to tank. Giving them abilitys to jam, to make different kinds of damage. and what gets amarr? they reuce the drone bay, then they reduce the damagebonuses of the ships and give them weapon capacity use bonuses on their battleships (!!!!????!!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?) by the way guys did you know?: tanking amarr on armos is the easiest think to do,, put on 1 EM hardener and 2 Thermal hardener and youll kill every Amarrian battleship if it dont drains you or ew you in any kind, and how to ew with 3 medium slots??? LOL. ok the slots arent the problem here.
the problem for me is that since 3 big patches all races were patched to the better only amarr not, or in the worse case all races stay the same but amarr will be downpatched. hehe lol ROFL!!!!!
today i read the patchnotes lol
you didnt even mention amarr races in any positive or negative kind.
ill tell you truly what im thinking about:
hmm...
my charackter flys amarr,
my charackter flys amarr HACS,
my charackter flys amarrian battleships with tech2 weapons
i skilled my charackter a year long to have a good pvp charackter and what can i do with a apocalipse? LOL i can mine, because its the best mining ship ingame so pls in the next patch add a mining yield bonus on my apocalypse that would be great.
oh ok im not shure if i will see the next patch in eve, why? its pretty senceless to skill a new race or a new charackter and pay even more money to CCP or waist time to skill other races on my charackter.

I fly Geddons almost exclusively. Even I don't think Amarr is omgwtfunderpowered. Though I wouldn't mind an Explosive crystal...

out of the 4 races i fly (yes, im that specialized  ) i fly amarr about 50% of the time...

I hate flying Caldari more than anything, fly Amarr and Gallente HACs and BS's much more than Caldari ones, and Minnies just **** me off.

I fly Amarrian for 1 reason, I dont have to prat about with ammo and reloading... 
The Apoc is also the best armor tanker, which is a nice bonus

I like flying Amarr ships and I picked this character just so I could cover him up in a hood instead of showing his mug.
Yeah, an EM and two thermal hardeners will make reduce laser damage but what if you go up against a ship that uses missiles or projectiles? Or possibly even an Apocalypse that is equipped with projectile turrets? Besides, who hardens EM? If I was going to use three hardeners and armor tank I'd have a hardener for thermal, kinetic and explosive damage types. Seriouslly.
Amarr ships are good and sexy. A MWD or AB, two warp core scramblers and webber drones and you are good to go.

truly i love to fly amarr ships they look best and i like them the most. but they just are not effective. since a tech2 blastertron kills every apoc on long and med range and a dominix kills every geddon on short range, a raven tanks every amarr bs easily and gives by tanking not less damageoutput than by not tankind and a tempest with tech2 large and a small tank kills your tanked ship very fast while your lasers make a damage that can only be called "huhh wft?" makes amarr bs pretty senceless in my eyes for pvp. i tried a lot of fittings and compared the ships datas with other battleships its kinda senceless to fit any apoc, a geddon is nice but not on longrange in a nice raid.
probably some of you should try some pvp and see whyt amarr truly can and cant.

Amarr are still quite good. The apoc may be sub-par as anything but a tank, but the 'geddon is an excellent PvP ship at both short and long range. The Zealot, the Arazu, and the Absolution also excel. The prophecy is a mixed bag - under the right circumstances, it is OMGWTFBBQ as far as BCs go, but under others it's kind of crap (of course, that can be said about most ships).

i think he was referring to your actual spelling errors, not american/english spellings.
Also, i love that you're complaining about this, im sure you wasn't crying when caldari players got nerfed a while back, and though I haven't checked, I'm sure the Gallente and Minmatar have been nerfed at some point too.
Stop crying and get on with playing, or create a new character of a different race.

Best reason to pick amarr.
NO AMMO REFILLS.
My alt-char trained for a raven and one day i thought to myself, hmm gonna make him farm rats in 0.0.
BUT NOOOOOOO
you need to be in a system with stations and have friends and stuff wich sux.
In a geddon i can fit 7x tachs heatsinks and tracking enhancers go to the most boring and dusty system in 0.0 and stay there for months without ever refilling ammo and making billions.
IT IS A LUXURY
Though I think amarr ships are outmatched in 1v1 pvp fights vs any other battleship, they make the best fleet fighters. Geddons dronebay is very decent though.
Zealot is probably the 2nd best hac. (Ishtar being the best) Crusader is the best 2x medslot ceptor and by far the best low-sec beltpiracy ceptor.
Punisher owns for people starting out and can take them far in PvP and PvE.
Prophecy is the best BC tanker not to mention tanker/dmg BC.
Although I'd prolly pick Gallente if I was starting out today

Yes there are some things other race ships do better than ours, then again our ships are better at other things.

I've never learnt to fly amarr as a matter of principle, so I can only offer as a reason to fly amarr :
Because most of them look like they are constructed from 90% pure bling ?

I started out Minmatar. I intended to fly Minmatar exclusively. But I couldn't make projectiles work. So I started trying hybrid. That was okay, but I wasn't happy. So then I tried missiles, and trained up Caldari. But I thought "What the Hell? I may not want to fly Amarr because they're too rounded and pretty, but let's try lasers?"
Eureka. I had a rifter firing lasers kicking ass in lowsec. Then I figured "I like lasers so much, and they work for me, let's make them better and train Amarr!"
And I've never regretted it. This nerf on Assault Frigs might be a little setback, but really, why would a Retribution have a smaller base signature than a Malediction anyways? (30 Retribution, 33 Malediction)

(B) Amarr ships rock. I'm Caldari, and I'm getting drawn to them more and more...first a Punisher, now and Omen, now I'm just working on calculating how long it will take to get good in an Armageddon.
Just look at the Amarr RP corporations, a lot of them only use Amarr ships AND EVERYBODY KNOWS IT and hence is able to fit against it, but they still kick ass left right and center.

Ha ha, how ironic. A post whose original intent was to show how Ammar supposedly suck, has convinced me to potentially create an Ammar alt. I gave myself a choice between Minmatar and Ammar, and eventually came to the conclusion I would be happier with Ammar.

After more then 3 years and 12days dedicated training I must admit I feel left alone by ccp. 41m sp (me) against 15m sp (you name the race) and I might loose anyways.
Dear CCP,
I wonder whether it is possible to transfer all my accumulated sp's to an Gallente, Minmatar or Caldari char. I wasn't informed 3 years ago that Amarr was getting anhilated slowly by time.

I am fine with Amarr.
No recharge HAS to be paid for => only EM+Therm, but most T2 ships can use missles, too. => use some Expl+Kin
But sometimes I wish that I could have only one med slot more... 
BUT ANYWAY! => ALL MIGHT TO THE LAST TRUE EMPEROR!
That's the real reason you should play Amarr!
