New line spacing is horrible. There are problems displaying MOTD, chat windows are not scrollable.

Everything looks fine to me, except some minor graphical glitches:
- The font has increased vertical space now, so Current Destination (when travelling) is positioned a few pixels too far down.
- In the market, the "Show only available" caption text needs to get some more horizontal space so it doesnt end up as two lines. Im loving how the market now shows the best price in region correctly though, ive been waiting for this.
- When opening the map, it now displays below every other window you have open.
- Tooltips are easier to read. Me likes.
- I like that petitions now have a reimbursement category instead of being filed as Other.
Thats about it. Nice job, devs. --- The Eve Wiki Project |

Like the new right-click font and spaceing, much clearer (on this view of mine).
Not like being not able to select text in chat windows - to copy only parts of full sentences. Although, the new right click 'copy all' - copy sentence - is nice "addition."
Also, why the additional chat spacing between sentences? It cuts down number of lines per view - thus not-so-nice during op.
(MotD can be fixed by re-entering it?)

There's not much to criticize. Really there isn't much of a patch, literly. It all fit in one screen of my web browser.
I repeat I really disagree with paying for the developement of a server I'm never going to play. It's not like the chinese macroers are going to leave the main server when Eve china opens. So how exactly do we benefit from supplying communist china with a game? we don't, thanks for screwing your player base. |

The Devs have been informed of the chat issues, including the MotD, lack of ability to highlight blocks of text and spacing issues. They are looking into the causes and for a fix.

Kieron, is there a way for me to get previous font back please? I do get headache seeing the new font especially in normal mode. Expanded mode is quite annoying because they are too big/wide?

Now there's spacing between the text when you choose 'text only' mode, instead of "text + portrait" mode for your chat window. Not to mention that when you move your mouse over someone's name in the chat window, it no longer highlights every instance of that persons name.
CCP, this is a plea - bring it back to the way it was, and remove the painfull spacing!

IŠm just wondering, why the Devs havnŠt done anything about these issues before the deployment of the patch...
I have bugreported several issues with chatchannels in the last days like MotD, selecting (highlighting) blocks of text and not working links including special chars like "&".

Just looked at a stack of pyerite, with 'wide' font selected...
and the icon shows 52.05, but there's an errant 'M' underneath the '5', looking suspiciously like the box for the number isn't big enough (or isn't scaled properly) and so the last character (in this case, the 'M') overflows to a new line.

Thats been in forever. Bugs ive noticed so far -
The chat, which isnt really a bug, but has been mentioned, scroll wheel, no clicky, the works.
The dreaded amp; is back, when you copy a link to a thread on the forums this gets added in. Was like this before, then got sorted, now ITS BACK FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE!
The font I dont mind to be honest, but it only really looks "Nice" in one place. Combat windows. They look really polished and the font works well there.

No you are not, why the hell do they have to keep changing things that are not broken while still avoiding all the bugs and problems we have been reporting for months.

Work around that worked for me - get a channel operator to go into settings and click on ok. I have done this one 3 channels that I'm an operator on, and has worked fine on all 3 occasions.

I've got multiple chat channels tabbed together in one window. Before, flicking between them was a painless and almost transparent operation.
Now, I get to enjoy a half second or so pause as it switches tabs. Pause, as in the entire client pauses.

Quote from patch data:
Quote: The capacitor need of blasters has been reduced by 30% and the CPU need has been reduced by 15%.
Is there any way to view this information as in game specs? Will the blaster info show a lower CPU requirement now?
I make cool banners for ISK.

You can reset the channel Motd by opening the setting of the channel and close it again by pressing "Ok". Then the correct messege will be shown.

Edited by: Rodsy on 23/05/2006 17:08:21 The in station camera is laggy, and fps inside stations has decreased.
Changing tabs in chat is slow.
Market-window is messy, for example the demanded skills icon is lower than power and cpu icons.

Anyone else noticed that it takes longer to switch chat channels? It seams to be that it lags 1-2sec more then usually?

While I find the new font a lot more legible in rightclick menus and such (in fact its beautiful to my eyes there), in chat it has just moved one issue. Where in a 2.1 the old font attached the . to the 2, making it look like 21, the new one attaches it to the 1, making it look like 21 again :/ Whats so hard about seperating dots...

Edited by: 31i73 on 23/05/2006 17:15:36 The font looks great to me. Clearer than the previous one. Try out different settings.
Only downside I noticed so far, is that you can't drag someones face from chat to make a link, only works from the participant list.
edit : oh and scrolling the chat with your mouse's roll doesn't work either, unless you click at the scrollbar first. I think it should be enough the chatwindow is active.

Yes, they have changed something here. Its the same when opening it from minimized. It freezes for a second and cant be moved while it gets the text. Not a big deal though, but its something that gets noticed.
What font are they using here in the forum by the way? Its better than the one in the game. --- The Eve Wiki Project |

Edited by: BlackHole Bob on 23/05/2006 17:20:36 TO FIX THE VERSION ERROR AFTER PATCHING:
once you patch reboot your pc and the patch will be upto date...if you try to login without rebooting your computer after the patch it will tell you incorrect version and want you to down load it again...
as for clearing your cache for a patch.....thats just total malarky....and should not be needed...clearing cache is all upto you and it may help you if you already jacked your cache somehow.......rebooting your box AFTER patching or CRASHING will keep your cacheing issues in check...for the most part...
hurrying to login will corrupt the cache more...
