Let's just say they found out one of the players was a dev, and it when down the crapper from there.

Thought it was an events team guy, a vonlonter that ended up getting punished, as well as everyone who was some how contected.

The devs I talk to are pvpers, if they are only the 10% they make more then up for the others. I believe most of the ccp staff has done pretty much everything you can in EVE from being carebear to being an ebil pirate. Some things come more natural then others though

Ok fair enough, you found a muppet. Still standing by my point that you have to be utterly dumb to do this type of thing, and especially more so with the types of things the alts here seem to accuse the BOB dev's of doing.

This discussion brings up an interesting question.
What if some player applied for a job at CCP and was required to move to Iceland. Certainly the ingame buddys would be aware of that. So either players which get "upgraded" had to
a) get rid of buddies b) have their charname be changed c) have to hide the job at CCP and all that Iceland stuff
In all other cases it'd be quite clear that this player is a dev. I wonder how one'd solve this dilemma? Must be one of those yay+ouch moments in life.

The wow comparisons are really odd, seeing as a dev playing in eve abusing power (not saying they do, just hypothetical) would be a thousand times worse than wow devs abusing power due to the completely different nature of how each game works. It's a well known fact that one of the big wow devs is a member of Fires of Heaven, and it's not generally made into a big deal. Now, if the eve playerbase knew that a specific dev was a member of bob, or ascn or something, it would be blown out of proportion everytime the alliance accomplished anything, which generally means they affected many other players.
Apples and oranges I guess :) ----- Lighten up a little bit. It's only the end of the world. |

doubt any dev have the energy to run some of the larger allaince also. its so time consuming u wont bellieve it.
I bet when devs are of work they just wanna sit down and relax a bit maybe they join a ts server and listen to a fc Yell some names they should activate there guns on.
But feel free to correct me if i am wrong Dev's

I am sure all the devs who play on the live server, do so as ordinary chars without special abils. There's no need for them to cheat, they have test servers to test stuff on.
The only real danger, is that it is easy for devs (as experienced long-term players) to end up concentrated in a particular play environment. In other words, let's say they've all been playing for years now and are largely clustered in the longstanding 0.0 alliances. Their game experience will be colored by this perspective.
I don't know the actual layout of which devs are where, but it would be nice if they were well spread out. With some in big alliances, some in small corps, some in mid-sized corps just working their way into the alliance world, and some hiding in NPC corps. This would help give a more balanced viewpoint of what the Eve experience was like.

At least they are playing during GMT time.
If charactername = "(devname)" move 5,000,000,000 to wallet.(devname).

Well devs are ppl like all others...
chances are that they dont all enjoy the same aspects of the game just like normal players.

If you play 8 hours, when are you doing your DEV work that you are paid for? Don't tell me another 8 hours cause that would leave no room for food or social life _________________________________
