I just got Willpower from a minmatar agent who also wanted holoreels. Maybe different agents now want certain items, rather than giving out certain implants!

People are acting like this solves the problems they were talking about, when in actuality it makes them much worse.

Gallente (Duvolle specifically) appear to give int implants now.
Previously it was purely will. ------------ Ezra Cornell pe0n, Xanadu Corporation |

"What i want to know is what kind of implants(if any) i can expect to get from my concord agent."
The V-chip.
... seriously though, there's 5 implant types but only 4 playable races... until the 'pirates' count as one, now...

8 Races technically.
9 if you include Jovian.
19 individual factions.

and caldari is getting the most valuable implant as off today people are paying 17-20 mill for them now, so buying implants that cost 5-6 mill realy isnt a problem... -------------------------------------------------> What I look forward to is continued immaturity followed by death.

Edited by: JPFAmarr on 26/09/2003 06:10:49 Lucky those that have agents that give memory implants - the most useful attribute in the game. Sucks for those that give charisma - the least useful stat in the game. This could be more balanced by having the lesser value implant missions be more common than the higher value implants. Just a thought. Or, just lower the chance to get the other implants.

Sorry for my last post, was late as night and very sleepy (flame away). I of course got a willpower implant from the minmatar agent in exchange for holoreels, and not a memory one. Mixed em up in the hangar, and didnt read the journal thorough in the first place.
Willpower seem to be the Minmatars main (or only) implants.

so how are you supposed to get other agents? if you get negative faction for other races... then how will you be able to boost those negative?
go kill millions of pirates in that area?
then you get negative faction to your first agent?
i really dont see how people could get all the implants then I mean probably some people thought that they could have an alternative in EVE even though its boring as heck...
plus if they take that long, might as well do other things and buy them?

Yup seems to me the dev team really fumbled this issue - put them in, take them out, make them rarer, now limit to 1 type per faction.
so no plan at all, just react to all the complaining about its not fair, so and so cornered the superconductor market or no there are too many of them and the price is dropping too much.
bah - ok so If I whine alot can the agents please drop miner 2s (oh and i'd like to specify galente agents) - cause thats the only market left where the suppliers have it nailed - after all you made it so the guys who had the foresight to nail the superconductor market got borked.
Geez I though this game was sold with the intention of the players driving the market - guess everyone likes the free market, providing the don't have to shell out the inflated prices it produces.

Eventually enough of the basic implants will make it into the system that they will be readily available on the market. Even if you don't do agent missions you will be able to purchase them from other players. Rare implants are another story, they will probably only be available through rare npc drops or "corp missions" designed for level 5 agents (not in the game yet).
And boosters will make it into the game when a few issues with them have been adressed. They won't be available on the general market (as they are illegal goods).

OK, I got Int from Roden Shipyards (gallente) so I guess its ok.
so to sum it up...
Caldari: Memory Gallente: Intelligence Amarr: Charisma .... fill in the rest.
I am guessing Concord will be willpower and minamatar = perception.

"And boosters will make it into the game when a few issues with them have been adressed. They won't be available on the general market (as they are illegal goods)."
... Do you mean, people will have to settle for things like in-game Trade channel and such like to sell the boosters? Or just that the (original) supply will be through the agents with black market service?

Yes with the current mechanics they will have to settle for pvp trading with the boosters. We might add them into market groups in the pirate controlled space, but that's not set in stone yet.
