Much more interesting than all the "bob pwns wtfAlliance and takes x" news posts all the time. Also im wondering what those hard core gamers from the land of the rising sea can do that we cant, any chance of ccp providing the eve china news reports in english?

I'd love to go to the chinese server. If ccp made an english version i would definately sign up today. I'd keep going here, but the thought of getting in on the ground floor, 0.0 pvp ops in caracals and kessies .. to much to resist

Yeah, i would love to start over as well. Problem is that the implimented restrictions by the chinese goverment would mean you couldnt play when you wanted, people couldnt understand you, and you couldnt understand them, even if the client was available in english. So unless something terrible happens to our server it wont happen (secretly hoping it will) :P ________________________________________________ I survived Veto and all i got was this lame sig. |

You understand nothing. Why is it so hard for you to understand that CCP will still be making patches, which they apply to us as normal and then hand over to the company in charge of EVE china to be applied there? All this means is CCP gets more money ot hire more pogrammers etc to give us more (or just improved) content.
Relax a ittle, and go learn stuff.

As to the new server hows the lag ccp?
I have never met a macrominer that was not chinese, so your words just look really weird to me. Are we playing on the same server? (I speak fluent Mandarin btw, I talk with them often.)

why would they waste their playing time macroing anyways? they can only play like 3 hours a day I think it is. I sure as hell wouldn't waste my time on macros LOL

Was wondering the same thing. Interesting setup on that guys ship though
I really hope when Serenity matures, there will be a way to link the servers, or have an opening to neutral ground(a 3rd server where people can come and go) and leave TQ/SE exclusive to the people already living there. With China's strict laws and such, maybe it could be done so that the two would not be able to 'talk' to each other in a similar way to WoW's alliance/horde chat system.
I guess its all just wishful thinking though, really doesnt seem like CCP has any plans of the sort. ___

Linkage would be neat, if it would work. I'm afraid the chinese would swamp us though, if not by numbers, their hordes of hardcore pilots would take care of us all. ________________________________________________ I survived Veto and all i got was this lame sig. |

Most manufacturing corps would go out of business, miners would look at a tidalwave of cheap minerals, etc.
it would be interesting tho, Like us TQ people being a resistence force against the hordes of people from the chinese server lol. Having roving bands of people from TQ ganking people left alone from the chinese server hahah would be funz

Right, it wouldnt be fun if the chinese goverment forms an alliance of its own that would wardec and destroy any western corp with capitalistic ideas, while expressing their idea's with a million secure cans, spying on all the players to find dissidents! Oh actually, it would be neat ________________________________________________ I survived Veto and all i got was this lame sig. |

And since thy cant sell the items on american/european ebay, it will be interesting.
Actually I think them sticking to large single corporations would make EVE China a better game. Alliances with corporations fencing around when the going gets tough and playing all sides of the field within a week like so much musical chairs is downright silly.
Forget about merging two identical star clusters, not interested in being convoed every 5 minutes about buying isk.

That is an rediculous amount of people!
All I want to know is this: 1. How was lag? 2. What hardware is installed to support this? Same as TQ or more/less?
Nice going CCP!

We didn't get any patches for months because CCP didn't have a test server to test it out on. Because it was being used as the Chinese test server. The former lead designer for the original EVE is also now working on EVE China. Losing the lead designer for a project is pretty serious.
I also noticed that, even though we have a test server again, we've still only got one piddly little patch and a hotfix that still haven't fixed a few issues we've had for months. Maybe now that EVE-China is out the door we'll actualyl see something. _________________________________________________________

The only explaination I can think of to why they already have fleets with battleships is because its BETA and probably quicker training and very cheap ships.
That fleet have some strange ship setups though...

A few quick question, for the vets like yourself. Is this what happened with eve (v2003) beta ? All the fancy toys that existed at that time with the skills and money to fly them ?
I also remember a screen-shot of a character sheet with all maxed-skills. It was mentioned this x-days long event signalled the end of beta, but what happened after that and it went live ? Were all characters reset or deleted ? Did anything live past the beta phase into Tranquility's universe ?
Just curious

China's IP range blocked from TQ. That explains the sudden disapperance of a large band of 'miners' and 'haulers' from The Citadel. I wonder how this will effect the ISK sellers?
The numbers of players means little until its a subscription service.
