As Minmatar I try and fly mostly Minmatar ships (although I train Caldari as well as a second line). But the Breacher is a ship I've never flown before. No do I feel why I should fly one now. A Kestrel outperforms in in just every aspect as a missile ship. And within just 2 days everybody can have Caldari Frigate 4.
And if you don't want a missile boat - the breacher would simply be forgotten.

the breacher used to be one of the most fun minnie frigs back when you could use cruises on them :)

I had so much fun flying a Breacher in my first few days of play. Then I got a rifter, learned some more about the game, and realized the breacher is a peice of crap. :( I would love to see a Breacher boost.

The Inquisitor sucks big time too, always has done. So in a way non-Caldari missile frigates are perfectly balanced.

I killed a ferox in a breacher before. But yeah it does need a speed increase atleast.

Necrobump for /signing and begging PLEASE, PLEASE, gimme a low and less mass! By God... are there any ships LESS able of doing things than this one?
I am going out soon to prove this ship's worth, but a PvP tank is garrdurned difficult to come up with when you're not 2 years old and have V skills across the whole missile/elecs/engineering/spaceship/gunnery board.

To stay on topic: Breacher is a fine ship. Its damage output, though not as good as a Kestrel, is still fine, especially since it is doing explosive damage. With good skills you can blast through a Interceptors armor in no time.
However its use is limited to being a support frig since it lacks a third medslot.

Yay! A breacher post!
As others have allready stated, this frigate had its time back in the Cruisemissile frigate days. I used to love it since with the speedbonus as it could actually outrun the cruise fired by other ships like kestrels and suchlike.
Now however, I only fly this thing on sisi when I am bored and have a deathwish. Any sort of boost would be good, tho I do miss the speed bonus.

When you look at the ship, the boosts that make the most sense are:
1: Speed
2: Agility
3: Very, very low sig radius.
Lets face it, the little pile of pipes should be **** hard to hit solidly.

I don't like the frig-phoon idea either. The phoon is dumb enough as it is. If you split the weapons you must double the bonuses. And that still does not balance with the training time and the poor boost from Gyrostabs and Ballistics...

Cool, people still keeping this in view for ccp.
Sadly I don't expect anything, I mean why bother spending time balancing T1 frigates? Except maybe to give something FUN that has a chance other than Rifter.
Only reason i've ever heard someone use this ship is "I don't wanna bring a Rifter like everyone else will".

Hey CCP LOOK AT THIS.. that is one of the few rare cases when almost everyone on every race agrees a ship needs a boost. So please.. give it some consideration.
Correct its mass at least and ad an extra sot (any mid or low will amke people happier).
After the Maelstron.. that is the least you could do for minmatar.

anyway signed, the only time I remember flying one waw when I started out and didn't have the cash for a rifter (I think)

<3 for the Breacher. I'd love to see it be able to speedtank to fit in with it's fragile-but-nippy theme. Wouldn't say no to an addtional slot somewhere either but that'd be a great big cherry on the icing.
