You and your buddies should just invest in a video card that you can hook up to your tv. That way, CCP doesn't have to spend all this time and money to xboxify EVE-Online.

haha if that happened im assuming the xboxers would be on the same server us the pc users? if that is so i recon we would have a mass slaughter of xbox users on our hands. they wouldnt have a chance. you would be hunted down and killed like the fools you are

if i ever buy one of those filthy xbox's it's to feed the stupid thing dynamite and gasolin then light it up. so no, don't ever ever port eve to x'stinkin'box, instead start working on a linux port so i can happily delete windows.

Did you see what M$ did to Freelancer? I was a member of Lancers Reactor forums after playing Starlancer and waiting for FL to come out. All the ideas and designs that the original dev crew had were forgotten and the game that finally came out was nothing like what had been promised. It had to be hacked by the Lancers Reactor modders to make it an open plan game that was promised rather than storyline based.
Even if it was done without M$ collusion, it would affect us all since, as someone already pointed out, it would have to be dumbed down so far to make it compatible that it would no longer be the game we play now.
PC=Machine for grown ups.
XBOX=Toy for kids.

I don't think it would make much difference to be honest - it would need to use a mouse and keyboard, something most xbox owners don't have.
I don't know about the 360 but the original xbox was very similar to a standard windows PC, porting would still take some time but probably no more than the eve mobile project they're working on.
I also don't believe an xbox owner is any worse than a large portion of the players in eve - they'll probably goto low sec and shoot stuff so that should please you 
I don't object to XBOX itself, I do object to the XBOX community. And yes I actively played XBOX Live for a time...

Being constructive here (and getting bored of the 40th simple 'no' posts to read through any further), porting it over to a console system will cause problems further down the line when EVE is upgraded and the XBox360 cannot support it. Case in point: Final Fantasy XI. It's development is being severely hampered by the PS2 section of its player base as the hardware is old and has severe memory issues. SquareEnix faces a choice - stagnate the game or ditch the entire PS2 playerbase.
EVE on the 360 would end up the same way. And that's not even considering non-keyboard controls.

I think this comes under the "Really Bad Ideas List"
Not a big fan of consoles in general but I cant think of a single game for the consoles that has anything like the depth of EVE. (maybe one of the console fans on these boards can correct me )
Leave Consoles to the quick twitch combat game and the other genres they do so well and leave the thinking games to the rest of us.
