As a WH Scout i love this feat.
So far most of my WH life consisted off: Thinking up of names for BM's, and copying them 10 times That is at least 10 copys for about 10-15 BM's of sig's All sorted out in cans, and carefully dropped out in pos And that is for 1 WH on 1 account. Hoping players log in before the cans pop. Putting them in Hangars would be to much chaos, thus cans proved to be the best solution.
I won't miss that at all

YES! Thank you CCP! We've been waiting for this feature for what seems like an eternity. ;-)
However, I'd like to ask why you did not extend this to the Alliance level?
And I hope you understand that we need this feature to be improved even further in the future. A corp role etc would be nice.
Time will tell if the 250 BM's limit will need to be raised. For my Corp and other WH corp's alike I doubt it. We recycle BM's every day. But for the large 0.0 alliances out there it might pose as a problem.
Also, if you decide to expand this feature in the future; please consider having player-restrictions on corp-bookmarks folders.
Anyway, thank you CCP :) |

Now everything is server-side (folders too) is there a valid reason why we cannot share those bookmarks between accounts/characters WITHOUT having to copy them into a can etc?
It would be in CCPs interests to make it possible as you must have an incredible amount of duplicate bookmarks.
Now that WOULD be awesome, rather than just "nice" |

a) 250 bookmarks is too low, way too low b) creation should be restricted to a special role |

Make amount of corp BMs skill related, so our beloved CEOs have something to train Like 100 or 200 extra per skill level.
This NEEDS roles for creating them, viewing permission would be great too.
It will make my life easier now, when finding gravs for corp. |

thanks CCP this helps us in WH so much and is a long time coming...
would be nice if it told where the bookmark went or what kind of location it is. For example if there is a gravimetric site on grid where the BM is then that info is displayed in the corp location window. This would help get rid of out of date BMs that no longer lead to the intended target. It would also protect against trolls who put safe spots at possible enemy poses.
Also it would be nice to have an option to express send a BM once every few minutes for the times when speed is super important. |

Dude You were doing it wrong. Use a jettisoned small standard container instead of a jetcan. They don't disappear, ever. And why copy the BMs TEN times?? Everyone who needs them takes them, makes one copy and puts it back.
If people keep taking BMs without copying them back to the container, use an Audit Log Secure Container, check who was the last to take something from it and bust their ass. |

It should be possible to cap the number of bookmarks per character to help corps reduce vulnerability to gaming the system. I would also like to have the option to require a certain role to add bookmarks but if the first suggestion of this post is implemented I suspect this one would not be needed. Finally, a person creating a bad bookmark could delete it right after its use if fulfilled and before someone could investigate it. I suggest instead of deleting a bookmark a player would only be able to queue for deletion and only once there is no space for new bookmarks would it be deleted (but perhaps only visible to people with the communications officer role}
Thanks for adding this feature... finally |

It's a tool, players can and will use it in whatever way they like. If someone ganks a corp member with it, hillarious. He made content, this will be for-the-lulz and stories are going to be had. It's like giving a kid a fork, if he stabs other kids with it, that's not the fork's designer fault, it's the kid's parents who didnt do their job. I don't see an issue with players using corp bookmarks in a creative way. :)

I love the last part, this and moving fittings to server site is going to make things much easier for those of us who log in from time to time on our laptops. Not to mention re-installing situations after hard disk crash.
Are there any plans to move the overview settings to the server also? And maybe introduce corp overview setting presets?
Regards
THIS^^ Please! Plus increased fittings capacity!
Very nice Tuxford! A much needed addition with lots of thought behind it! I think they can stop reminding you of that particular server incident now already.

CCP, what about Alliance BM's?
We live in a WH as an alliance, not single corp. We have to share BM's with other members of alliance. This can still be PITA if BM's are only avaible corp wide. Thou its still less pain with current system, as only one person from a corp have to grab BM set from GSC.
someone above me mentioned timers on BM's. For a WH that would be great. Set for example a 25h timer on a WH BM while creating it, or 3 days on any site while leave it with unlimited for poses, safespots (never know when You get back to that particular WH), etc... |

Now if we can have them appear in the overview when you in that system and warp to them like other objects that would be even better. Love this by the way, will make WH sharing much, much, much.. easier |

Thing is that when they moved our "local" bookmarks to their server, they deleted all the folders... At least I have big blob of 254 random bookmarks under one folder in sisi now... I hope that the dev responsible about this action doesn't honestly think that I'm going to sort those by myself again.

Dear CCP,
Firstly, thank you very much for introducing Corp Locations AKA Corp Bookmarks. It's a fantastic development.
One request though please:
- Please make the ability to delete other people's Corp Locations be higher level than "Communications Officer".
I, and I would assume other CEOs with mature members, currently enjoy entrusting their members with the ability to send Corp and Alliance mails about important or interesting topics in case Directors/CEO are not available to get a message out.
But ensuring the future fidelity of Corp Locations would seem to be a slightly more mission-critical issue with potentially worse outcomes than the risk of receiving a bit of extra mail spam. The loss or the altering of Corp BMs has the potential to cause worse outcomes.
Could the deletion of Corp Locations be limited to CEO and Directors? Or perhaps a role like Security Officer?
Regards, Sparks

Looks like I'm getting into this a little late, but kudos to the CCP dev team. I love the 'warp to asset station' feature.
Another thing that will be very useful are the corp bookmarks. Unfortunately having everyone able to see them by default is a security risk. For example it makes sense to bookmark assets in space, and having everyone able to see them means a 1 minute old member can immediately locate all of them.
Worse, the corp bookmark system for wh corps means that even a brand new member knows which wormhole the corp is in. Is this something we really want?
So please, do make all parts of corp bookmarks role based - even just seeing them.

With the Bookmark/Location code being worked on, could you think about
* introduction an optional limited lifetime for a bookmark?
I found myself cleaning up a lot of outdated locations, to wormholes, sites, wrecks, etc.
Could we add a deletion timestamp for locations? and if timestamp is reached, after next downtime, the bookmark is deleted automatically from database
with locations now being stored on server, that should be doable?
valid bookmark duration could be infinite (as it is now for all), or a user-entered value in number-of-days
delete-timestamp=null / creation-timestamp + number-of-valid-days
all existing locations get an infinite lifetime
could be updateable later on via locations dialog if someone changes his mind about lifetime of a location
Apologies if this is a repost of an existing suggestion, didn't read the whole thread. |

hey I'm curious how this works...
I probed out an 8/10 site in null sec. I jumped my prober to empire and then I saw some dudes turn up to start doing the site on my alt. I was trying to move the bm from personal locations into corp locations so I could get it with my alt and gank them but it wouldn't let me. Is it possible? Or only able to make it corp bm on creation? I tried copy the bm and put in hangar then drag to corp folder...didn't work. Neither did right click bm -> edit location (it only show personal location and sub folders). |

I also think this is a great idea.....but I cant create a corp BM no matter how hard I try. Tried dragging from cargo. Tried create BM and the location wont let me select Corporate, just personel. Tried combinations of SHIFT-DRAG, ALT-DRAG......NO MAS !!!

Neither can I. I looked all over for instructions how to do it and found none. Asking random people in game and I was told to have Communications Officer role and just drag it into folder. I have said role and can not drag it into folder. Also, there was a crapload of bookmarks in our corp folder from 2009 and no one seems to know how they got there. Maybe our corp folder is bugged somehow? I can create new folders in there but thats it. When creating new bookmarks I also do not get the corp folder in the drop down menu, the only option is to make it a personal bookmark. |
