For safety reasons only a specific role should be able to create corp bookmarks. "Communications Officer" can delete corp bookmarks - so make it also that only that role or higher can create corp bookmarks. Ugleb > and TDR won't log in so long as their core members are demotivated for whichever reason is in flavour this week |

Since this game is full of jerks you might end up in the wrong place if somebody switches your bookmarks. :) Just saying Or a password protected folder as we might not wish to share all bm's with all members of a corp? New members should not necessarily have the coordinates to the entrance to your wh. Some safety from spies. Otherwise, I like this very much.
An interesting point, you can do it by NOT making the entrance a corp bm, all players should BM the k162 anyways already, but it wouldn't be bad to have "officer bms"
but I'll take the system now and wait for the modification later Let us eat cake! -áI mean open containers in corp hangers please ... Let us stack all modules (eliminate repackaging), except damaged ones, give them a red hue/icon. Let us see damaged drones in our drone bay!

And there was much rejoicing.
As far as the 250 limit goes, I really can't see that being anywhere near enough. I'd say 250,000 would be closer to the mark ;) Aside from that, I agree with the comments about only certain roles being able to create corp bookmarks, which I believe is already the case with corp fittings? |

I too would like a role required to create corp bookmarks. Sure, you will see who created which one, but you're not going to check every time you warp to a JB bookmark. And that person can simply delete the fake BM after they blow you up to cover their tracks.
250 corp BMs might be a little on the low end. I can see corporations frequently roaming multiple regions fill that up quite fast. |

It needs a history function then, some sort of audit trail somewhere in the UI.
(Additional roles won't happen, not until CCP rewrites the entire corp UI from the ground up.) |

from what i see its simple (from a user not from a develper prospective although some, relative, copy and pasting may apply) take the player bookmarking system give it to the corporation then use roles to give people access to various folders with the bms in them or use the mailing list system and convert that into a bm system. either one should work for the framework at least.
on a medical note bm is the term for bowel movement i think its the same in eve since its a slow and annoying process with allot of flushing involved. |

It should be noted that very many players requested that creation of corp bookmarks NOT be tied to a corp role, but open to everyone. So CCP just heeded player feedback here.
We in my corp absolutely need all of our players to be able to create corp locations. The ability to restrict it would be a nice bonus, but only if a new separate role is created only for this. Since that is not possible for technical reasons, the system we now get is the best system possible.
(Though maybe the allowed number of corp BMs should be tied to corp size, so the poor Goons get some more BMs than a solo corp.) |

lebniz wrote:I think the storage of things like bookmarks and overview settings on the server is great, but I desperately want the ability to export/import this stuff to a local file as well. Mostly I want to use export/import to share bookmarks between my characters, but we've already seen that this sort of thing has unexpected uses that the player community has thought of. Exporting fittings into EFT, for example.
So, CCP, you've clearly already learned that export/import is good, because we now have it for fittings and overview settings. Why not for bookmarks too? In fact, since you already know it's good, why should I even have to ask for it on a case-by-case basis? Just be consistent and let us import/export pretty much anything that you ever add to the game that would make sense to import/export!
If there is some reason that you don't want us to be able to do this, fine; but please give me some other way to move the dozens of tactical bookmarks I've got on one of my characters to my other character. Forcing me to copy/trade them little by little, or to simply make a whole other set of bookmarks on each character is just pointless tedium that doesn't improve the player experience at all.

This is yet another winter expansion dev blog filled with simple awesome.
This lets scouts do what they like to do... actually scouting and setting up points, instead of shift clicking and jetting cans all day long.
I'm not sure how others feel, but this could make smart FCs much more strategic. This can go a long way to helping the better strategy/tactics win out over superior numbers.
The 5 minute delay is nice too, because that gives a slight, but not overwhelming early edge to those who prepare ahead of time.
While some will complain about the numbers... 250 corp bookmarks, or the access, anyone in corp can make them... I look at those as minor issues that will be ironed out later in future patches. The core idea here and implementation is pretty awesome. |
